The planning process from 2,000 miles away was definitely more than I originally anticipated when I decided to get married in Lake Tahoe. From the moment I first interacted with Lea she made it clear that I could have one less thing to worry about with regards to my hair & makeup. Not only did she listen intently, she gave me honest feedback and was able to reassure me in that planning process. Her personality is so bubbly and calming and you can tell that she is a genuinely happy person who loves making people feel beautiful. I ended up texting her ONE day before that my flower girls had changed their mind and now really wanted their hair done. No problem for Lea- not only did she accommodate this request last minute, but she handled their individual requests with such care that they and their mamma were all thrilled with the results. On my wedding day it rained off and on the ENTIRE day, and during the ceremony it literally started dumping and took me a couple minutes to secure an umbrella. Despite the weather, and my being outside for probably a total of 6 hours that day, my hair and makeup held flawlessly. I really don't remember giving her any directions for my make up other than "natural glam" and I have never ever in my entire life felt so beautiful. It was me- 100% - with an elegant touch. I can't really say enough. Weddings are emotional always, and my own personal journey was full of SO many feelings and Lea handled us all with such care and grace and really pulled it off. I have never felt so beautiful and am truly amazed that someone who was a "stranger" to me before hand was able to execute EXACTLY what was in my head. I really loved every moment!

Not only are Jill and Jessie super gorgeous, but they're friendly and they really know how to make women beautiful. I hired Jill because she does airbrushing, which I loved because it was lightweight but lasted all day. Seriously my makeup was good from 10am to 12am even in the hot Sacramento summer heat. All my girls looked great and my moms loved their makeup too. What I love about Beauty Box is their makeup is flawless and leans towards natural. Not that they are opposed to dramatic. I'm sure they do dramatic great as well but their natural look is glamorous and clean. Having done many weddings before mine, she did tell me that I'd probably want to have some fake lashes just so they'd show up in my professional photos. We found a happy medium and I'm so happy that I trusted her with that! Michele is incredibly talented and will make you feel so comfortable and BEAUTIFUL on your big day! One of my biggest fears when I was first searching for a makeup artist was that I wasn't going to recognize myself in pictures or look like me. Michele made sure that didn't happen! When my brother first saw me, he cried and told me that he was so happy that I still looked like myself, which was so sweet! Anna, on the other hand, had such reasonable prices for what she does! Luckily, Anna was available for the day that I needed her. Anna arrived to my house to do my make up right on time. She was super nice, very personable, great at communicating and letting me inspect her work as she applied make up to my face. She was great at asking me what I wanted and making sure that I was happy with her work every step of the way. She even gave me some make up application tips as well as introduced me to some new products. I also loved the fact that when I asked her for her opinion, she was honest about what she thought looked good instead of being one of those make up artists that tell you what you want to hear and not be honest with you. She is also a perfectionist and notices the small details which I totally appreciate since she made sure to go back and fix my liner. TRIAL - I used my engagement photoshoot in March 2025 as my…read moretrial for my wedding day hair and makeup - for the trial you go in person to the Auburn studio location which is a little house perched on the hill converted to a studio WEDDING DAY - initially had 4 people (myself included) for hair and makeup for my wedding day, which would have had me have 2 hair and makeup artists; however, my SILs decided to do my MIL's hair and makeup, so it then became 1 hair and makeup artist, Zoe COMMUNICATIONS - I had interviewed and emailed multiple hair and makeup artists/companies and moved forward with All Dolled Up due to location, pricing, portfolio, and because they were the only ones I spoke to that had airbrush - I liked how all communications were through the main portal/email - very professional; loved that there were email check point reminders and instructions as it got closer to both the trial and wedding day HAIR & MAKEUP ARTIST - Zoe was my hair and makeup artist for my engagement photoshoot as well as for my wedding day - during the trial we jelled; Zoe was very warm, welcoming, bubbly, and such a hype woman! - I will say that I got a bit nervous because we went over time (if I recall correctly) for the trial by approximately 15-20 minutes; so I knew (and was instructed by my photographer) to give a hard stop for the wedding day because hair and makeup can notoriously go over your time - advice given to me by all recent brides was to give a buffer for yourself so that if/when hair and makeup goes over your hard stop, you'll still be OK and not rushing in the end - trial hair and makeup was great! - MOB and MOH on wedding day loved their hair and makeup by Zoe! - for my wedding day, I would have still liked if the front of my hair had more volume, but it was what it was; Zoe also underlined me for my lips, but an easy fix I was able to rectify; never be afraid to speak up too! once I saw the finished hair and makeup I was dissatisfied initially with the way my hair was parted, but Zoe had no issues redoing my part - another thing too that was commented on by the MOH was that it was interested that no touch up kits or samples are provided
