I recently brought my V Starr 1100 into their service department. I was hearing a "grinding" noise. As I'm not from the area, I left it to the experts to tell me what the problem was. They did a quick inspection and thought it might be something to do with the transmission or bearings. The bike only has 30K on it and I know this bike is a warhorse. I left the bike with instructions to not exceed 3 hours. This was on a Wed., March 25,. 2015. I called on Fri. March 27, 2015 and was told they were finishing up another job and could not get to my bike until the following week. I finally heard back on Thur., April 2, 2015 and I was told by George (service manager) that after spending 2 hours on the bike it would need an additional $1200 just to "get to the problem", then parts and additional $$ to put it back together again. I was then told, I was looking at about $3K in work. I was shocked! This is a 2006 vehicle. I then told George to DO NO MORE! I would make arrangements to pick up the bike. He said, fine. So, I did my research and found out that this was not true. When I picked up the bike that bill had another $100 on it (after I had told him to DO NO MORE.) I questioned the bill, but he said that was the cost. I paid it reluctantly and I also voiced my displeasure at the treatment I had received at the service department. George also stated that this was a dealership, not a motorcycle repair shop! Are you kidding me? I then trailered my bike to San Diego to an independent motorcycle shop and he fixed the bike for $130 (that price includes new rear brake pads)!!! I feel very taken advantage of and I was condescended to. The service manager apparently thought he could pull a fast one on me. I'm so upset about this as I trusted your experts to guide me. That is what it is all about. In the days of social media, customer service is key. I was not well taken care of. Your service manager needs to look into his people skills. read more

I can't give them one star. We took our dirt bike for a chain. The bike had not been driven for a week. When we dropped it off the tires were not flat. We have witnesses who loaded the bike who recalls as well that the tires were not flat. When I got the call, the next day that the bike was ready. The service manager said, "oh, the only problem is the bike has a flat." I said, we are just going to pick up the bike. When we picked it up we can hear how flat it was since you can hear the tire rub on the floor. I recall, I didn't hear that when we dropped it off. They wanted to charge us $95.00 an hour just for mechanic work!!! To remove the tire and put a tube in. Just let you know San Diego does not charge this much, not even close! This business knows it's the only one in this small town and they are taking advantage if this!!! And everyone here pays because they don't have another option than to drive to San Diego or AriZona. They are thieves. I am a mom with a 16 year old son and they just wanted to take advantage. Do not pay $95.00 for mechanical work here because they have no integrity!! read more

Then after one of the salesman was talking badly about me, to me over the phone, I asked for my deposit back. I have had multiple conversations with them but nothing yet. BEWARE!!!!!! THEY LIE!!!!!!THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!Although my sales person was nice and cool. Why I am rating them 1 star is because they did not want to contact my financing bank and lied about when they started filing paperwork with the DMV. They made it difficult to use my financing bank. I'm assuming so I would use them for financing. I would have to travel back and forth to my bank to get info across. I should've realized it here that I was in for a bad time. My bank would call them and they would not answer. The only time they called my bank back was to pick up the check. My horrendous time does not end there. When I bought my bike on November 3rd. They told me to wait 6-8 weeks for my registration and tags. When the 8 weeks came they told me to go to the DMV. At the DMV I learned that they didn't even start the transfer of ownership till December 10 and that the transfer of ownership is incomplete!! I had to go over to the El Centro location and the DMV multiple times within the last month just to find out what happened to my registration. No one at Coyne seems to know and they didn't care until I had to make a big deal out of it. It is about to be 3 months and I still haven't received my official registration and my tags. So unless I want to illegally drive around with expired tags, I can't ride my motorcycle. I refuse to ever comeback and spend a dollar at this place. I will never purchase anything from them again or get any services done here. This is why you shop San Diego!!!!! read more
