Great place super friendly Me and a few buddies rented out some quads for our girlfriends Prices are great, quads ran great too had lots of fun

This is my son's second bad quad from QUADSTOP. How dangerous!! He should have been in the vehicle or they should have brought a truck.

This is my first review ever and I am taking the time because this company QUADSTOP is the WORST!! I booked a quad a week prior to going to the desert. We picked up the quad Saturday morning and were told the only one they had was a very small yellow quad with no headlight so that meant no night riding. They offered no discount so my son rode it back to our RV and when he arrived he said the brakes barely worked and the seat fell off. Very dangerous!! This "last" quad was substandard and mechanically unsound. I called the QUADSTOP and it took them over 2 hours to bring what looked like a bigger, nicer one with a head light. Finally, after over 3 hours of all this my fiancé, brother and son headed out for a ride. They wanted to ride earlier because it was 91 degrees now. Within one hour of riding the 2nd quad broke down and wouldn't start. 2 hours later a very nice 16 year old young man arrived in a 4 seat Cam Am type vehicle. He could not get it started. I wasn't looking or I would have stop the 16 year old from towing the quad on a small rope with my son on the quad. My son should have been I stopped by on our way out to ask for a refund and was given a card and told to call the owner in the morning which I did. I believe this name was TIM he was incredibly rude and said my son rode all day which is a complete lie. He offered to refund the overnight fee which we never had it overnight as it was towed back that same afternoon. He didn't offer any type of apology or compensation. I even offered to pay for the hour my son rode. He said "No". QUADSTOP ruined our trip because no one could ride, not my brother or fiancé's motorbikes they own due to having to manage this unfortunate situation with my son and the rental. I told the owner I was going to dispute the charge with my credit card company and he said "Go head" and hung up. I look at the charged right after the call there were three $300 dollar charges!! The rental was $175 and 50 if you keep it overnight which I didn't. I have pictures of this fiasco and have disputed the charge. QUADSTOP DOESN'T DESERVE ONE STAR!! These guys are crooks because they think they are the only gig in town and can get away with treating people like th

Came out to Borrego Springs w/the family for the first time & didn't know what to expect...being the desert, we assumed there was not much to do... We decided to book ATV rentals for 2 days. Day 1, we rented quads & went off to the trails across the street past the airport. It was so much fun! The trails & terrain weren't too difficult. We were all first-time quad users. My 13 & 15 year olds had no trouble at all. Day 2, we went in a 5-seater side-by-side. Equipment ran perfect & had zero problems. First day, we had the guy w/the beard help us (sorry didn't catch his name), but he was great. Explained all the basics & showed us how to use the quads. Next day, we got Tim & he was another cool guy. Easy peasy. Advice: use the map (they'll give you one) & review it ahead of time--there's little to no cell reception out there. Use a credit card to book, as your damage deposit is held and it takes a few days for that hold to drop off. Bring plenty of water & snacks. If you go in a side-by-side, bring a cooler. We'll be visiting Borrego Springs again & will def come here for rentals.

Pros: I rented 3 quads on 2/16. but only ended up using two as someone wasn't feeling up to it. We had a blast and everything was great with the quads. They even gave us gloves to use when we returned mid-day to refuel. It was during this refuel that I told Quadstop they could rent out the 3rd quad for the remaining half-day and if they wanted to give us a free refuel or something, that would be nice but not expected. At the end of day, we returned the quads and received verbal confirmation we'd receive our security deposit back in a few business days. They also informed me they had ended up renting the quad and offered to refund the full price of the rental, but I told them only to refund $200. Cons: They never followed through on returning the security deposit or refunding the $200. I messaged with the owner via Yelp on March 4th and he apologized and stated he'd make the refund a priority. Given the owner's circumstances he listed in the attached message screenshot, I waited until March to start the dispute process with American Express for the $900 security deposit. I have now been informed the merchant is denying the claim even after I furnished the Yelp message confirming he owed me the refund. I would not recommend this merchant due to their deceptive practice.

SCAM SCAM SCAM! We rented a Yamaha Wolverine from Tim that was clearly in an accident and rolled over. We did a full walk around video prior to leaving the facility. We drove about 300 ft and the thing overheated because the radiator was blown. Tim explained that he would refund our money when we gave him the SXS back. When I asked for a written confirmation he said "I'm an honest guy why are you on my back". $600 later and 3 weeks I disputed my credit card and he fought the dispute. We have pictures on the property of it having a blown radiator. Tim is clearly a scammer! BEWARE! Go to the other one next store they are honest. REFUND MY MONEY TIM

Had a great day thanks to Tim Quadstop!

This was one of the best experiences I've had with renting off-road vehicles. My buddy and I called Tim during the off-season (mid-September) & he answered right away. He was very helpful in explaining where to go & what the process was. When we arrived, he had the TRX400 & Warrior all tuned up, gassed up & ready to go. He was helpful in explaining the routes & where to go and then left us with a 5 gallon tank of fuel, in the event we needed to refill. Not only were the vehicles tuned up well & ready to go, but he was also cheaper than all of the other vendors (who did not answer). We were able to park the car, hop on the quads & ride all day. It was a quick ride back to the car to refill the water bottles & grab food too! Will definitely be returning next time I'm looking to do some riding!! #braaaaaaaaap

My fiancé and I rented a couple quads here for a full day. They set us up with everything we needed, gave us water, and some instruction. Not only did they give us a trail map, but also drew out the best route for us to take on our morning ride. They told us they would give us more routes for our afternoon ride when we returned to refuel. We had a blast out there!!! The machines ran perfect and got us everywhere we wanted to go. When we returned after our morning ride, we had to call it a day and didn't get to hit the afternoon routes because we were too tired. Can't wait to come back and rent from these guys again, and hit the afternoon spots. They were helpful, friendly, and even hooked us up with some free stuff.

    Suzuki 400, such a blast!

This was my first time on a quad/ATV and my boyfriend has been riding dirt bikes since he was like 6yrs old. I love being outdoors & going on new adventures, and he loves riding ... so the mixture of those things i came upon this place. For birthdays I love and prefer creating memories instead of giving materialistic gifts. Example: For his 28th birthday I booked us a little personal speed boat in San Diego. Upon arrival check-in was easy, quick, and they gave us hand sanitizer so we felt assured. They had helmets and other PPE lined up and available for us to use, however we had brought our own (riding gloves, riding jerseys, riding DOT certified helmets, and googles) which they allow. Our guide Jorge was funny and very easy going. The ride overall was really fun!! During our ride our guide also took pictures of us and he took some awesome ones with amazing backdrops! The only complaint I have was that I only booked us the 1 hour ride. Next time we are doing the 2 hour ride for sure! And maybe the Big Bear location as well.

For him to believe "chem trails" are controlling the weather and "both sides were too evil" to vote for Harris, I was astounded. (The first page of a Google search on "Chem trails" only returns how it's a conspiracy theory) If you're not against them, you're for them. I'd be interested to see how Randall feels when they start drilling for oil or the developer who already owns property we drove across finally gets approval to build his golf resort. If I hadn't already booked and paid for this experience, I would have passed. Also, there are only a few months where the weather is mild enough for the tortoises (if there are any left) to be found, so don't expect to see much wildlife. While the rocks and mountains were lovely and we enjoyed the silence, it is mainly a tour of the surroundings. Set your expectations appropriately. Nice enough guy if you only want to have someone drive you around. In case you found him through "Visitpalmsprings" he does not have EV ATV's and our average speed was 26 MPH not 10-20 MPH as noted. I was impressed with how smooth the gas ATV was over many bumps, but this isn't as "chill" (his web site) as it seemed it was described. Update: I think politics does get included in this experience. Your web site clearly states your concern (very real) for the environment and animals in it and you back it up with multiple advanced degrees in natural resources and ecology leading me to believe we are aligned in how we (the population) are to protect this beautiful place and these amazing animals. When I arrive and learn you believe some secret group is controlling the weather with chem trails... Have you taken this conspiracy theory back to your professors and run it by them? You didn't have an answer when I asked, "Who makes the money by stopping the rain? If they can stop the rain, they should be able to turn it back on, why don't they do that?" If you're going to posit this conspiracy theory, you should really have the full nonsense available. This is a microcosm of what not voting for Harris turns into. I'm not sitting around being polite to those that are going to cause very real harm to women, hard working, tax paying working immigrants AND the environment when our sacred lands are drilled to look like swiss cheese. You should change your web site to say, "I'll take you for a ride in the desert while it's still here"

Plus I think it's a relatively safe experience with the guide riding in his own ATV and he even said he tested himself right before with negative COVID results. Overall, he was a really chill guy and constantly checked in to make sure we were having fun. And he's great at taking pics and videos. I was impressed at how he was able to hold a phone with one hand to film us driving behind him during some of the bumpier sections! We even got to check out some tanks on the way back from Operation Desert Storm. Our 3-seater ATV was a bumpy ride in a good way. Some of the roads even felt like you were going on a rollercoaster at high enough speeds! I had a ton of fun on this experience and will definitely be recommending to my friends.

This is Dylan with a map marker. A few minutes later, he called me asking where I was. I said I'm making a turn, but my GPS says go straight, and the street sign says road closed. I had to pass the road closed sign to get to the rental location. After I parked, Dylan came out to greet me. He took me into the office, asked for my ID, asked if I had ridden before, and then told me that the handlebars were $90. I asked why he told me about handlebars, and he said it's because some people get charged for them. He then said that if I came back early, he would give me a discount. I said, "Cool, thank you". I then went to my car to change. I met him at the ATV, where he explained the controls, and I thanked him. Dylan then told me to follow him; he was going to show me some areas. He took a razor, and I followed him on the ATV. He took me to a place under a bridge where people hang out. It had chairs, a basketball hoop, a basketball, and a lot of stickers. He then took me to a windmill. At the windmill, I asked what the marker was for to get back to the rental shop. He said to use the tall antenna, which is close to him. I thanked him, and I went off on my own. At first, I was excited and explored the area. I was worried I might get lost. This place is nothing like Ocotillo Wells. Ocotillo Wells is a State Vehicular Recreation Area with a map, Marked trails (with names), and Unique Geologic sites. Ocotillo, where I was, is just a desert. I tried to keep track of where I went. I found some medium hills, went up, took some pictures, and then went back down. Then, I continued exploring the area. It was fun until I went up to a sign that said BOMBING AREA- DO NOT ENTER. I called Dylan from my cell phone, and he said, "Don't go in there." I said, "What's this about? He said they do testing over there, but are not currently doing anything at this time. I thanked him and hung up. I went away from the signs and found another one that said Laser Targeting DO NOT ENTER. I decided to go towards the main road instead to see if I could get out of the area. I then see a Sign that says Navy Reserve, DO NOT ENTER. I then turned around and kept riding. I found a path that avoided the signs. After 10minutes of riding, another sign popped up saying NO VEHICLES, NO ATVS, NO DIRT BIKES. I then went another direction after riding for 5 minutes. Another sign said NO TRESPASSING. At this point, I was irritated. I rented an ATV only to be told I couldn't ride in the area I was put in. On my way back I was able to see the windmills. I found a path to the right and followed it, which brought me closer to the mountains. I went up some hills, then followed the path, but I felt like I was going to get lost because I didn't know where I was going. There are no trail names here. I kept going, then somehow ended up going down a hill. I made a right and kept going, which took me to a path I'd been on before, where the hills were. I then kept going toward the cell tower and returned it to the ATV rental spot. I got some drinks from my car and took a break. I looked around the shop, and no one was around. I rang the bell, looked at the garage and the office, but no one was there. So I called Dylan and asked where he was. I needed gas. He said he was at the other rental location setting up people. If I was done riding? I told him I needed gas. He told me to get it from the blue truck that has a pump on top. I thanked him. I filled up the gas tank and went riding again. I then rode to the left side of the ATV rental place. I liked this place at first because it had more hills. Then I followed a trail that led to more hills. Unfortunately, the fun was short-lived. As I kept going, I saw an area that said DO NOT ENTER MINING in progress. I said, "ok, whatever." I still had a trail on the side of it. I continued and saw some guys hitting some targets with guns, so I went another direction. I kept going until I saw a No Trespassing sign. I tried another way and then kept going straight until I saw a cement wall like at US border with DO NOT ENTER. I was completely blocked. I got tired of not being able to explore much on the right side due to the BOMB signs and No trespassing and NOW the left side had DO NOT ENTER signs and cement walls. I rented for 8hrs but I finished the area in 6hrs due to it having closed areas. When I returned Dylan said the ATV was good. I asked about the discount for returning early. He said he would have to talk to his grandfather he doesn't know how to process it. Update 5 days later I called and wasn't given a discount as mentioned when I first arrived
