Always fair priced and honest vehicles Always repaired in a timely manner. Have been my repair Shop for years.

Recently took my 2015 Camry for new brake pads. Quoted $370 front and back. Local Toyota dealership wanted NINE HUNDRED BUCKS! Insane! Work was performed in a timely manner and met my expectations. These guys do good work and I recommend their brake service at least. I will take my vehicles to Adams Repair Shop in the future. read more

In July i had an issue with my mustangs fuel pump had it towed to this place got charged $500+ for fuel pump housing unit drove the car home and engine seems to wooble when coming to a full stop.. Took out fuel pressure gauge and car PSI for fuel is below 20. Fast forward to Oct and fuel pump no longer pressurizes fuel.. Took it to my mechanic in San diego and come to find out this gore in my car. Fuel tank housing was torn up because it looks like the so called mechanics did not know how to remove it. Below are picutres of the shotty work they did. Charged me a "housing unit" held by coat hanger wire.. Wow! I expect at least an explanation from the owner as to how or why this happened? Also the fuel hose was completely broken off. I have to now pay for a full re-hosing of the fuel hose along with a new fuel pump. Adams owner at least what you can do is refund.... read more

I am so thankful for Adams repair shop. Took my vehicle to dealership and they held my vehicle for days then they quoted an arm and a leg to repair a leaking A/C condenser. I took my vehicle to Adams repair shop, they gave me a proper diagnosis and an estimate in under an hour. The repair itself did take a day and a half but their customer service is superb, Jose is very attentive and they are genuine with their estimates for parts and labor, unlike dealerships in this area who are obscenely expensive. I highly recommend this shop for all your auto repair needs. read more

Traveled into El Centro for a contract job with the State. As I was leaving work one night, I went to open the drivers side door to my '04 Toyota Sequoia and I heard a snap as I pulled the handle and realized that the internal cable had broke. I had to roll the window down and use the outside handle to get in and out of the car. I did a little research on Yelp and found Adam's Auto Repair with some pretty good reviews. I also contacted some family members in the area and they immediately recommended Adam's. I drove over and spoke to Jose at the front office and he let me know that he could take care of it, but the car would have to be left with him most of the day. I dropped off the car at 8A and told him to just order the parts and fix the door. I knew that if he could fix it, it would be cheaper than the dealership. He let me know that the internal door mechanism needed to be changed out and that it was a high priced item. Since he knew I needed my car and I wasn't from the area, he started working on the repairs. By the end of the day the car was ready . Uber ride in the morning, and one in the afternoon was simple enough. And at the end of the day I had my car back in good working order. Just like the reviews before mine, Adam's Auto Repair is worth it. Service is good. Place is clean and organized. I would highly recommend for vehicle service in the area of El Centro. read more

I would put this at zero review a little short guy that's usually in the front desk that doesn't do anything. He told me to show up between 1 to 130 or a little bit after that I showed up at 1:45. He asked me to wait I said fine he looked in the front of my truck. He says oh it looks like when your leaf springs are damaged and I said what the heck does Elise bring have to do with the tire being straight you guys did the job to begin with you guys did a horrible job anyways and the minute I say well that I might as well take it to retire and take my business elsewhere. That guy is so rude and disrespectful. I really wish I knew his name but they don't do their job like they're supposed to you don't get a vehicle aligned and then three months later it's out of alignment. They obviously did something wrong, this please don't even feel welcome read more

Jose was very cool about getting me an idea of repair costs for my audi. Theres no dealer in El Centro so I didnt know where to call. He was very professional and knew what he was talking about. Great honest shop read more

Above and beyond. I needed work done fast and Jose is a miracle man! He is honest and kind and El Centro is lucky to have him. Only sorry I didn't meet him sooner in our short 2 year stay in the desert. read more

I hit a large rock at the Salton Sea, which seriously damaged the front suspension. Even though I was towed to their shop after 1pm and they had multiple vehicles ahead of me, they were still able to jump on it that day and repair it before closing. Price was also very reasonable. Being from San Diego this meant I didn't need to get a motel for the night, for which I am most appreciative. The repair job was also top notch. 5 stars! Thanks all. read more

Coming back from Glamis and the front brakes started making a grinding noise. Looked around El Centro for a place to look at them and found Adams Repair on Yelp. It's was good to find an decent shop with excellent mechanics. Short story. Front brakes pads were stuck and took the inside pad down to metal and ruined the rotor. He showed us the problem and gave a fair price to replace both front pads and rotors. Out in 90 minutes. To all Glamis Riders! If you need a shop to get your truck or car fixed then I say go to Adams Repair in El Centro. read more

Have taking 2 different cars to Adams. What great service Jose is always there to help. They get the job done on time at a fair price.

Traveling between AZ and CA on a Sunday night my trucks alternator went out! Over 300 miles from home, Yelp to the rescue. Adam's had great reviews so I called first thing Monday morning! He had a tow truck drive contact me, got my truck to him, diagnosed the bad alternator and replaced it and my battery! Under $600 and out in a couple of hours finishing my haul!!! Super nice, fast, and fair! read more

I broke down driving from San Diego to Yuma, broke radiator. They fixed it in a couple hours. Friendly service.

JOSE is the BEST!!! He is hones and doesn't want to charge you an arm and a leg for labor. He fixed my explorer and during this stressful time made me feel at ease... THANK YOU :) read more

These guys truly have a good idea of what is going on, it is hard to go without ac in such a rugged climate and Adams repair shop will always have you covered for ac needs. And for a very affordable cost.... the only repair shop I will have my ac services at. read more

Jose was very helpful and honest on work for my truck. Fast service too! Thanks! Definitely recommend and will go back for any other work.

Jose and the guys have been taking care of my vehicles for 5 years now and I would recommend them to everyone. Their work is excellent and well priced. I have gone to places that promise good work for less but I end up paying more because the work is shoddy. Jose gets the best prices on parts and passes the savings down to the customer. read more

If you want a straight up mechanic here in the IV Jose at Adams Auto repair is it. He may sit behind the desk now, but he's a seasoned professional mechanic. Best advise on solving you vehicle's issues. Reasonably fair prices at Adams is a big plus. Will patronize again. read more

A decent, honest and professional vehicle repair shop. I was traveling through the area when my AC decided to quit pumping out cold air. Conducted a quick search of area service shops and Adam's Repair Shop came up. So I gave them a try, Jose answered the phone gave me a decent estimate for the amount of work needed I rushed to his shop to take care of the discrepancy. Once I arrived I was greeted by Jose who quickly went to work on my car. He was very knowledgeable wasted no time checked my system out and utilized his service machine to diagnose, vacuum and then refill my AC R134 fluid which was low. I observed Jose at work and engaging other customers he took his time to thoroughly explain 1) how the vehicles system worked and 2) Issues that can cause the issue that the customer was concerned about. Having a mechanic back ground myself I was very impressed with his honesty, professionalism and transparency. He had my car serviced and blowing icicles in no time which was a 180 degrees from the hot air blow drier effect my AC unit had prior to my visit to his shop. So I was a very satisfied and a very happy customer and the better part of the deal was the price for the service which was fair and much better than what I dreaded. I highly recommend this mechanic shop and the service provided by Jose. If I ever need anything in the area again there is one place I will definitely stop at, Adam's Repair shop. read more

These guys are AWESOME!! My front air shocks went out on Jaguar. Hard to find ANYBODY to work on car! Could not drive car over 200 miles home in Palmdale....WOW, what a dilemma. Ordered conversion kit, called Jose at Adam's repair shop and No problem. Installed regular struts/shocks that ride better than air system, installed bypass to stop air fault message. Thanks a Lot Jose and guys at shop. Recommend take your car/truck whatever to them for service! read more

My wife was traveling cross country with the kids as we were moving, I made the trip earlier to start a job. She broke down in El Centro and we had no idea what the problem was. Jose was great and got them back on the road for a fair price. He got them in and out in a hurry on the same day, while they sat in the waiting room with their pet frogs! Thanks for taking care of them! read more

Never given a second review before but the guys at Adam's deserve it. The stupid GM Chevy dealer here in El Centro won't fix the A/C of my sister's SUV because they cannot diagnose/replicate the problem, so much for the warranty. A bit of googling and having Jose do the fix I found from the online forums got the A/C working freezing cold as it should. They also helped me out a couple days ago coming back from Yuma when I hit some rocks on the highway left by Caltrans, my big metal skid plade took the hit and saved my oil pan and transmission cooler. My poor skid plate bent so bad it made clunky noises when I was limping back home. Jose and the guys got my german coupe on the rack and were amazed how built like a tank my car was, they quickly straightened out my bent plate and sent me on my way. read more

These guys are awesome!!! I was heading from Phoenix to San Diego and started overheating going up the hill (Mt. Everest). Had to back down the hill and made it back to El Centro. Jose was honest and his mechanics did great work and had me back on the road super quick. 10/10 would recommend!!! read more

I've always taken my cars to mexicali for a better price but sometimes cheap comes with a price. I read some of the reviews and I must admit, I was worried at first but I'm glad I made the right choice. Jose took care of the problem within a weeks worth and now my Honda is like new. Thanks Jose and Adams Repair!!! read more

While on a road trip in early 2014, my venerable Tercel wouldn't start, so after getting a jump at a gas station near the freeway, I went straight to Adams Repair, hoping the chorus of good online reviews was legit. My guess was that the alternator conked out, but within 5 minutes, the friendly and easygoing proprietor, Jose, correctly narrowed it down to an aging starter. Since we had to get back on the road, he taught me and my partner how to do a push/roll start (it's a manual transmission), and sent us on our way, free of charge. We arrived at our destination city in the middle of a rush-hour snowstorm, then stalled when trying to maintain control on a patch of ice. With the help of a passerby, I tried out my new skill, and it worked like a charm! We made it the rest of the way home. So I say if your car needs help and you're in El Centro, Adams is the place to take it to. I wish I could find such honest service around where I live. read more
