The hotel on Mesa Verde only had cell/ internet service at the registration desk-and was very spotty. I called and spoke with Cheryl a few times and she was extremely helpful with setting up the towing as well as giving us hotel and restaurant suggestions that worked out really well.. Tow truck operator JR kept us in the loop about the expected time he would be on his way. He also pointed out good restaurants on Main Street and dropped the car off to be looked at and then dropped us at our hotel. Very dependable and professional. Highly recommend this company as it was a stressful situation and they were extremely helpful.

Blair's Towing = Outstanding Service!!! Highly recommend!!!…read more Over the Memorial holiday weekend my wife, our dog and I camped/mtn biked and hiked in Dolores CO, which is about 211 miles via the routes we have to drive from our home near Grand Junction CO. On the day (Memorial day Monday) that we packed up camp to leave (we use a roof top tent atop my 2018 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited) my Jeep would not shift out of PARK. I spent several hours trying to remedy the problem to no avail and the shift, despite starting would not move and was un-drivable. We have been AAA members for many, many years and despite that membership, AAA refused to offer any assistance claiming we were in a remote, inaccessible area and it was a holiday weekend. Our campsite for this trip was right off a very well maintained dirt road that many people all weekend had utilized in normal sedans and small cars. Our campsite was also near a large animal corral and had wide-turn access for vehicles with horse and cow trailers. It was the most accessible of sites in this wilderness area that we travel to and camp at routinely. We re-deployed our rooftop tent, stayed an extra night and the next day again reached out to AAA, which was still useless. I spent a few more hours trying to resolve the shifting issue with my Jeep and we even called a few local tow companies (do not call Mancos Towing - they will not help unless you are broke down right next to their shop!) We found Blair's towing and called them. They immediately offered to help stating they knew the area well including the location we were camping. JR was our flatbed tow operator; he talked with me on the phone and within 45 minutes was at our campsite. Within 10 minutes my Jeep was loaded securely on his flatbed truck. Our plan was initially to tow to Cortez Jeep/Chrysler but as we were enroute I called their service department they refused to even evaluate my Jeep until "maybe, June 20th..." JR was very quick to respond and worked it out with his dispatch and happily towed my Jeep the 211 miles to Grand Junction to my local Jeep dealer/service department. Their pricing was fair considering the distance and after he dropped it in Grand Junction and had it secured inside the service department's secured lot, he texted me to let me know it was there, locked and key deposited appropriately. If you find yourself in SW CO (e.g., Cortez, Dolores, Mancos, etc) and need a towing service, do not hesitate to reach out to them. If you are AAA member and call them first - insist that they send Blair's (and even ask for JR). They and he are very professional and although I hope that I never need a tow in a situation like this again while down there, I will immediately reach out to them. Blair's towing = outstanding customer service and overall service!!!!!

Southwest towing arrived 15 minutes earlier than requested and was able to maneuver the truck on to a flatbed from a perpendicular position. Excellent price. It cost less for this tow than it cost to have my truck pulled 10 feet out of the mud in my driveway, and there was much more time involved with this one.

Chimi assured us of the time he would arrive, and he came with water and had us sit in his air conditioned truck while he quickly towed my car to a safe location and put on our spare. Chimi showed concern for where we would be able to get to on our trip, helping us to regroup for the night and come up with a plan. He actually turned a stressful situation into the best night of our trip.

A year ago I bought a used 2016 Moto Guzzi Stelvio motorcycle at Fun Center Cycle in Farmington,…read moreNM, with 16k miles on it, and rode it 1,000 miles home. It was not an uneventful ride, as a year of sitting on the showroom floor meant that it had stale gas, and it ran badly the entire ride. I had vetted the bike by calling the sales team and by texting and emailing. I specifically asked for the fluids to be changed out and that the bike was completely checked out by the shop. I flew from Sacramento to Durango, Colorado and after an hour was finally able to catch an Uber to the shop in Farmington. Folks at the shop were pleasant, friendly and welcoming even to the point of offering me a burger cooked out back. That was great as I was starving, a little out of sorts with the altitude and my flight. I checked the bike out, and everything seemed ok. Loaded my gear in the saddle bags and poked around. Installed the charging wire for my heated vest, and installed my tank bag. The financial folks got the paperwork sorted out quickly (I thought), and I was on my way. Right away I noticed the engine had a bit of a rattle. But having owned Moto Guzzis in the past I knew by the sound that it wasn't serious and after a couple minutes the sound was gone. At my first stop, I determined that the engine and rear end oil (shaft drive) were way past scheduled oil change as they were filthy. Interestingly the transmission oil was as though it was brand new. That lead me to believe that they had changed transmission oil thinking that it was engine oil. Maybe. The shop had filled the gas tank up but I suspect there was old gas remaining which varnished the fuel injection up. Hence the rough running. 1,000 miles later, when I got the bike home I did a complete fluid change. And yep the engine oil and in particular the rear end oil was super nasty. Shame on Fun Center Cycle for not changing that. Found a filthy air filter, and on further examination determined that the airbox had a defect in the factory molding process and that unfiltered air was making its way into the airbox and throttle bodies. Shame on Moto Guzzi QC. If the mechanic had bothered to check the air filter he would have noticed it was filthy and something else was wrong due to the grime, and bird feathers in the air box. That's the second reason for running bad. I had to repair the airbox and spend much time cleaning throttle bodies. Shame on you Fun Center Cycles. The valves sounded like they hadn't been adjusted in many miles, and on using my feeler gauges found that they were way out of spec. It takes 15 minutes to adjust the valves, and needs to be done every oil change. The included owners manual clearly states this. Shame on you Fun Cycles and maybe the previous owner. While attempting to register the bike in California DMV, I found out that Fun Cycles screwed up the paper work and signed the title as though the bike had a lien. It did not as I paid the full amount with a cashiers check, This created a pain and I had to wait for new paperwork and had to make a second trip to DMV. Shame on you Fun Cycle. DMV also wanted to see the emissions stickers on the bike. Luckily the previous owner had left some under the seat. The rest of the stickers on the tank, exhaust and swing arm had all been removed. The exhaust was aftermarket and I sweated bullets that I was going to get into trouble. A year later I've put on 10,000 miles and I love the bike, but my experience with Fun Center Cycle in Farmington has continued to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

We did get the towels, dishes and pots n pans package. Also the coffee pot and toaster. We arrived a few hours earlier but checked in to get rolling. We were given the tour of the motor home with all the instructions needed. As we checked in and they were going through the checklist, they discovered the battery for the rv had been shorted. They jumped in and got it fixed. We waited two hours for the fix. That should have been our first clue that it had not been detailed from the last time it was rented. So much for getting on the road early. They told us the gauge for the propane, would not register full but it was. They said the water was full, the gas tank was full and the septic had been pumped out. There was a big stain on the mattress but we brought a mattress topper and cover and we were very glad we did!' Our first stop, I could feel the dirt on the floor so I got down on my hands and knees and cleaned the floor. That made me concerned how well it had been cleaned so I took out my antibacterial wipes and wiped down EVERYTHING, steering wheel, door handles, cabinets, etc. I also noticed the gas was only 3/4 full, not a full tank as they had said. We pulled into our reserved spot for the night and it was time to cook dinner. Every pot, every pan, every utensil was dirty, greasy and crumbs and debri were in the drawers. So, I proceeded to clean all the dishes, pots and pans. My trip so far had been spent cleaning. Then the carbon monoxide detector went off. So we opened all the windows and could not understand why it would go off. I couldn't get the stove to light. Finally, I was able to use a lighter so I could cook. We had nice clean full size bathrooms where we stayed so we hadn't used the toilet in the rv yet. Next morning I discovered the toaster didn't work. Not a big deal but we had planned on not eating out. Toast would have been nice. We headed out before lunch and as we are driving down the road the carbon monoxide detector went off again!?! Then the shower started burping up gross water all over the place and they said to go get it pumped out. So we did and the septic was full too, which clearly had not been emptied from The last users-YUCK!! We had not showered or used the toilet yet at all!!! We went ahead and got the propane filled too. Third night of the trip the heater wouldn't work and we froze all night. Our option was to buy a space heater or find and rv repair place to fix it. Luckily, we were able to finally get it working. The carbon monoxide detector went off everyday which was uncomfortable to deal with. Kinda scary. We were charged for extra mileage- ok but no credit was given for the full tank of gas, the full tank of propane, the full septic system we had to pump, the broken toaster, the no working heater and the issue with the carbon monoxide detector. Everyday there was something and it became almost funny till we had about $500 extra we paid for "mileage". Left that motorhome more clean than I found it. For all the work, worries, and added expense for gas, and propane we did not see the value. If we will consider doing this type of trip again we would get a newer model, look at everything more closely and ask them to pump it out and fill it in front of us. I gave them two stars because they did reply to our texts and tried their best to resolve the issues over the phone promptly. Had they been unavailable I would have only given them one. Most of the issues could have been avoided by detailing the motorhome prior to renting it out. They were friendly and nice. It was easy to rent, and drop off.
