Shady! We used them for years with my business. When we finally closed our business and cancelled the service, they went ahead and charged us for an extra 30 days because they said we are charged a early termination fee and they just make you pay another 30 days which we didn't have any type of contract with them, just a shady and really gross way to treat loyal customers. Oh and I can't tell you how many times we lost our Wi-Fi just if the wind blew, but yet we still stayed loyal to them whenever AT&T was available in our area. read more

Had their service for years at my office. Building got free wi-fi so I called to cancel and they extorted me for the remainder of my service agreement. Never mind the fact that I paid every bill on time, stuck with them through outages and rate increases. Wouldn't recommend their business service to anyone. Dear Cox. I upgraded to your 2.5 gig service and among hundreds more in the metro, we are tired of the constant loss of internet. Up...down..up.....down.. on average, my internet stays coherent for maybe an hour or two a day. AND DON'T GIVE US THE BS LINE 'IT'S our connection" fault! I have quad-shielded, low loss cable to ports in my home. I am a 20+ year communications systems engineer. My home is better than most military grade systems. Your network stability from the main network center to the individual, neighborhood "Branch switch's" SUCKS. I thought this would enhance working from home, but has quickly become a job liability. IF YOU DO NOT FIX THIS SOON, THOUSAND OF US ARE DROOPING OUR SERVICE AND GOING WITH TO COMPETITOR! Fix your logical network or we are going with so,done else! read more

They tell you that you are caught up to get you to sign up for new services and after a month, you get the bill and have a heart attack. I always feel exploited and I was not going to return, but it sounded like a good deal. Tell people what to expect, don't drop a 500 bill on someone when it is suppose to be 250 tops. read more

My husband and I have owned our business - for decades. And we've never had the problem we've had now. Cox rushes off new cable boxes....to homes and offices - for new accounts. And then the meter starts running. Well, we use Cox for our very small business account and it's been a nightmare this past year. We do not work at home; we work in a building that has retail downstairs and all business professionals upstairs. Our business is a small insurance agency office in a building. Two owners and one employee. MIXED USE: In CA Now our Cable bill for the home and office - are within a few dollars. And we don't even watch any pay for TV movies or HBO and all the other programs that cost money. Why is it the same? Because we bought two new computers at the office and took one of of the old ones home. Well, guess what? They don't track your modem by device. Cox just keeps it running wherever it is. The other kicker? Cox Business suddenly changed our billing from Apt 2A. But... In our building there is a surfboard company downstairs and professionals up above. And the building is on the main tourist street in town. Their has been a wonderful assistant at Cox who has been patient with the issues we've had. But, unfortunately, she doesn't work out in the field. Now, one year later, we're still trying to resolve the issues. read more

Careless, laggy network that turns off 1-3 times per day. Incompetent techs, they don't know how fix the problem. 2 years and 12 teaches later and many hours wasted of my time and work off days. They do solve the issue. They know what it is. They don't fix it. They say make another appointment, that's it. Don't get cox, get any other provider, if possible. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I've had cox Wi-Fi for 2 months and have already had 4 terrible encounters with their modem, technicians, and customer service. They try to charge you every time someone has to come out when it is no fault of your own that the Wi-Fi does not work. Customer service will just keep transferring you to the next person so they don't have to deal with it. I've had 4 Wi-Fi outages in 2 months. I miss my ATT Fiber so much :( read more

Not a Cox customer anymore and still cannot get away from them and the crappy way they treat people. Apparently the neighbors at my new house have not had the pleasure of dealing with cox and their shady billing and mediocre customer service and we're having it installed this morning. This morning I saw a man in my backyard digging holes around the corner of my fence and tinkering with the electrical box out there. When I asked him can I help him and who he was he said rudely, "I'm installing cable for cox" . I then asked, how did you get in my yard? He said he climbed over the fence (the tall wood privacy fence that also has a lock on the gate). I told him it was unacceptable to enter my yard without knocking on my door to let me know he needed access. He ignored me and then in fact allowed another worker to climb over the fence as well, several times. I called Cox and reported the situation and they pretty much blew me off. I've since called the police and am filing a trespassing report as I have several pictures to back up my complaint. Such a terrible way for a business to act. I should have let my dog show him why he shouldn't enter a yard without permission. read more

ABSOLUTELY, the WORST customer service of any company I have ever dealt with! I have been a customer for 30 years. They could care less. I continue to have problems with my tv picture pixelating. I've called tech support and used their on-line support. They always resort to rebooting my cable boxes although I've told them it doesn't help. I was told to get new boxes. I got new boxes from the Norman store. The boxes constantly rebooted by themselves. Tech support said the boxes were not set up correctly. They said I could pay $75.00 for a tech to come out. I already pay 300 per month for a crappy service. I can't wait to drop them for another service! I rated them 1 star because I couldn't rate them lower! read more

Cox is horrible. Ive had to use them for two businesses now and they are hugely expensive, rude and difficult to deal with. Nothing is right the first time and try getting hold of an actual human in their customer service. You can't. Avoid like the plague read more

For you to say you are committed to your customers is a joke! I have been without internet for 10 days. You are telling people that you have no estimated time of repair. You know what is wrong and you definitely know how long it will take to repair it. You are not telling the truth. In a time where people are having to work from home, children are doing school from home, elderly use your service for emergencies, you are dragging your feet and failing your customers!! Your service is the most expensive in the industry and you can't figure out how to get service up and running in one area? Even temporarily? Any one that is considering Cox service for cable or internet think twice. Horrible, overpriced internet service and horrible customer service! I would give zero stars but it won't let me. read more
