I switched from ADT to SoSmart and have whole home protection and cameras. They have the coolest technology and a great mobile app to control my locks and doors and alarm system. I should also mention at a 1/4 of the cost ADT was charging me. Many of my friends have made the switch as well and have never been happier. We like that it notifies us when a tornado warning comes as well to the area. ADT failed me numerous times and I lost their trust; 2 times things were not hooked up right so you could just open a window and crawl through without setting the alarm off. Then they kept upgraded my cell backup and it was never provisioned. I know because we had an issue and ADT was not notified. I found out that it hadn't communicated in many months, but no one ever called to tell me it yet they continued charging me $159 a month. I highly recommend SoSmart they are great.

Recently had what I thought were better cameras installed but after a few weeks I'm questioning…read morethat. 1 camera needs to be adjusted because the built in lights are too close to the wall and aren't lighting up the monitored area. 1 camera shows the yard/grass to be a different color than the other 4 cameras. 2 cameras aren't lighting up the monitored areas where they are positioned. There's a yard light on the corner but it's at least 40 feet from either of these cameras. The HD clarity is suspect on all 5 cameras. I can't really see details unless what I'm viewing is less than 15 feet from the cameras.

We have been a customer at Alert 360 for 14 years. They…read morehave been providing coverage at our house and my medical clinic. I found out a week ago from a customer service rep that they have not been able to pick up any monitoring at the clinic. Therefore, if anyone broke into my clinic they would not be able to pick up the break in....!!!! So what exactly have I been paying for and how long have they not been able to monitor my clinic??? I called their customer service today and spoke with Taylor. I told her that I needed to know what my current balance is. I also told her I wanted to cancel my service at the clinic. She informed me that they need a month notice to cancel my account which means I would have to pay for June. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR JUNE WHEN THEY ARE NOT PICKING UP ANY MONITORING AT THE CLINIC AT ALL. Does this make any sense at all. I have owned my clinic since 1995. I work hard for my money. I have given them 14yrs...!!! This company is a shit hole of a company. We will be reporting them to the BBB also. I will be canceling the coverage at our house also.

Only putting one star bc you have to put something. I agree that this company is a bunch of liars…read moreand cheats who will do anything for a sale. Here is a play by play of my experience: 1. An installer came to my residence to install the alarm system. We do not have WIFI at this residence, and as such the installer was not able to load the document he was asking me to sign. He stated that the document was a work order and that l should "just go ahead and sign it" so that he could complete his work. I was misinformed about what I was signing and felt pressured to sign the document that wasn't loading, as I thought I could trust what l was being told that what I was signing was a "work order." 2. My domestic partner was the one who scheduled this installation and he was not at the home the day the installer came to install the system, due to an unforeseen circumstance. My partner was not told there was a contract for these services. He was told there was a month to month service fee, and that l, his partner, could receive the installer at the home to set up the system. 3. We were told that there did not need to be WIFI at the residence for the alarm system to work properly. After over three weeks of issues with the alarm system not working properly, I contacted ADT directly and spoke with a tech representative named "Paola" who informed me that the reason the system was not working properly was because we needed to have WIFI at the residence. 4. I called the company on 5/23 to report these findings from ADT and to ask to speak to a top manager in order to report these various problematic business practices above and to come to some kind of amicable agreement. The representative informed me that they were the "top of the line" and that there was "nobody else to speak to about this issue. You signed a contract, you have to pay." They refused to acknowledge their company's poor business practices, which are actually ILLEGAL. After a great deal of pleading, this representative offered to have the sales manager of their Oklahoma division call me in 24-48 hours. It has now been over two weeks and nobody has called me. 5. This morning I called Safe Haven in an attempt to give them one last chance to follow through with getting me in touch with the promised Oklahoma Sales Manager. This time they stated that "Since you've been in contact with the Better Business Bureau, we can no longer speak with you directly and will not be having any Sales Manager call you." They once again told me l am subject to the early cancellation fee for a service I was told would work without WiFl, which was a misrepresentation of services. This product does not and will not work without WIFI. This continued back and forth is coming from a customer service representative in different state who has no idea of what has actually happened in this instance, and instead of listening to the consumer and escalating this (hopefully) unique matter to the appropriate party or parties, is reading from a script and offering no actual customer service. They refuse to get me in contact with anyone higher up in the company. They are expecting the consumer to simply pay a bill for a service that was misrepresented to them, and to abide a "contract" that was also misrepresented as a "work order" by an installation person. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Call ADT directly!
