Our clothes dryer heating element went out, which is a disaster in a household the size of ours. My wife reached out to Cox Appliance and spoke to Brian Cox. Because of her schedule, the work needed to occur the following morning. Brian contacted her this morning, letting her know when he would arrive. He arrived, performed a quick assessment, removed the problem part, performed a test to confirm the failure, and then replace the part. All this occurred within one hour of Brian calling to say he was on his way. Super easy and efficient. His service clearly was a household rescue. Cox Appliance / Brian is definitely our go-to service provider for all our appliances. My wife and I planned a Coke date tonight to expand on this review. My washer would not come on. Came out the same day on a Friday. Had to order a part and came back out the following Thursday to install Part. Service was great but cost seemed high to me. Charged $129 service to come out which I thought to include most of labor however it cost An additional $100 for labor that was about an hour total. read more

I call him when he answered to phone he was very unprofessional some what rude, wasn't sure what was going on, so I told him my ice maker wasn't working nor was my waster in the door, he told me if he got done today he would call and let me know. so I thought okkkk. after lunch he called said I'll be there in 20 to 30 mins, well I'm 30 mins away so I called my husband to meet him there, he gets there pulls out the ice maker puts it in the sink rinsed it off put it back in then said if it doesn't work then you will need a new one, and said that will be about 500. for a new one .Gave my husband the bill 129.00 he did NOTHING!!! NEVER CHECK TO SEE WHY THE WATER WASN'T WORKING IN THE FRIG. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!! HE SEEN THAT WE WERE OLD AND TOOK ADVANTAGE OF US!!!! Made appointment for him to check appliances that were affected by water during a recent event. When he arrived, he refused to wear a mask inside my house. As recorded by my home security camera, he became agitated when I told him I needed him to wear a mask in my house in order to keep us both safe. He began raising his voice and saying that "he doesn't believe" in masks, and then mumbling some other things under his breath about those who wear them. I explained that it is for my safety as well as his own, but he did not care. He insisted that I should I have told him when I called that I was "one of those mask people." I've had at least a couple dozen service providers at my house in the last two weeks, and not a single one of them has refused to wear a mask. How disappointing that this person openly indicated his willingness to put my life in jeopardy if he's been infected and is not yet aware of it. I assume he spends most days going from house to house. If other homeowners have let him get away with this irresponsible and dangerous behavior, that only increases the chances that he may have picked it up from someone else, and may be passing it on to others. Let's hope for his safety as well as anyone he's come into contact with that he isn't an unknowing spreader. During this difficult COVID crisis, it's unfortunate that we all have been inconvenienced in some way, but that pales in comparison to the many illnesses and deaths from this disease, many of which could have been prevented if the people around them weren't too stubborn to wear a stupid little mask. read more

Cox Appliance Service is a family owned and operated appliance repair company. Brian Cox, a Tulsa native, is the owner/technician of Cox Appliance. He has been serving the Tulsa area since 1992. As a teenager in High School, Brian began working at Greer Appliance Parts and did so for over 10 years. He then began repairing and selling used appliances. That eventually led him to in-home appliance repair which he has done for over 18 years.

Will is a good communicator and has an amazing array of skills which emanate from his Education and Experience. Preface: I live in a 47yr old home that is almost entirely original. When it comes to trades, I'm also a helicopter homeowner and generally a bit of a micromanager. Will replaced 3 light fixtures, a ceiling fan, a venthood, restored function-electricity to 2 outlets & one hardwired site, replaced front storm door, and added handle to said storm door. He answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns and made recommendations, ex: Response - wrapping because wires are brittle, need consider new wiring. No dilly dallying with Will. He stays on task and focused. I gave Will a very detailed list of tasks-items and he gave me a time estimate for completing them with the caveat that nothing unusual came up. That timeline was dead on. He is structured in his pricing-estimates. His pricing was very reasonable. I will most certainly use Will's skills (had to say it) repeatedly for this original 47yr old house.

Could not have been worse. Alyssa was nice enough when I called to schedule. Matt arrived (late)…read moreand tinkered with the dryer venting for a few minutes. Said to try the dryer again, he though that would work. If it didn't, he would come back, no additional charge. That was on a Friday Well, it didn't work. (Actually, it was even worse because he had reattached the hose wrong, so hot humid air was leaking into the house - in summer). I called Monday (didn't want to bother them on the weekend) to have him come back. His wife couldn't schedule us until Thursday. They then called when they were already over an hour late to reschedule for the next day. So when Matt and his wife finally came Friday, Matt criticized me for not calling sooner. Um - I did, his wife wouldn't give me an earlier appointment. In any case, he started working on the dryer again. At this point he basically called me a liar. Said that the dryer couldn't be doing what I said it was doing. (Running 20 minutes, overheating, shutting of while clothes were still wet.) I have video of it doing this, so no, I am not lying. Apparently the next step was to take the whole thing apart and test the parts. His wife had mentioned a different way of identifying problems, so I asked about that since it sounded easier. And I also wanted to make sure there wouldn't be an extra charge. At that point, Matt threw a fit. Apparently he doesn't allow his customers to ask about the plan for fixing their appliances. Since his wife had misinformed me, I was just trying to understand the process and cost before we proceeded. But Matt became IRATE and stormed out of my house, yelling at me that he would refund the $75 service fee so we could hire someone else. To add insult to injury, he again attached the hose improperly. Even worse this time - the whole thing became unattached when we tried a trial load in the dryer. Hot, humid air again in our house. This time I have photos of water dripping off walls, windows, shelves, stuff. I had to empty the whole room, wipe down every surface, turn on fans to try to air out the humidity. We have water damage to our trim that will cost hundreds to fix. I have contacted them 3 times over the past 2 months trying to get my refund. They have yelled at me, called me names, and hung up on me. They now won't accept my calls. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau in hopes of getting this resolved. I would really advise hiring someone else. The good reviews are from the past, when Appliance Repair Broken Arrow did their own work. I have since learned they are outsourcing to Matt (Bearded Man Appliances), and obviously the quality of the work had changed drastically. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Maston's Plumbing & Drain troubleshot our plumbing system with a camera and discovered it was…read morealmost completely clogged; they also found out the backflow preventer installed on our 20-year-old house was not up to plumbing code and needed to be replaced; this was most likely the reason our plumbing line was clogged. We scheduled service for the next day, and they spent hours digging up hard clay soil to replace the backflow preventer. After the new backflow preventer was installed, they proceeded to hydro jet our main sewer line from the ground and through a roof vent until it was completely clean. This plumbing company does not stop until they finish the job, they are a top-tier professional plumbing company that I would highly recommend to anyone who needs plumbing work done.
