Repair person came out and said I had too much stuff in freezer. So I emptied freezer out. Call them again. Same guy came out. I pointed out where the noise was coming from. He said well when it quits freezing let me know and I'll order a new fan. Noise just kept getting worse. . Called different company and he took back of freezer off. Readjusted how back was put in and noise is virtually gone. The fan may need to be replaced in the future but for now it's good. read more

The woman who takes the calls is very nice and helpful. However the dishwasher repair guy (and they only have one) is extremely unprofessional, rude and somewhat confrontational. He even referred to me as "dude" when he called to say he was on the way. Not the mention that his vibe made me very uncomfortable in person. Definitely did not feel comfortable being alone with him in my home. My understanding was that it is an initial $89 for them to show up at your house, but if they do any repairs, that is taken out of the repair cost. Well, my plumber failed to knock out the plug when he installed the dishwasher. Simple fix. Repair man tells me it will be an additional $112 on top of the $89 to do this simple fix. When I questioned him, he got agitated and used a louder tone and made me feel very uncomfortable. I paid the $89 just to get him out of my home. I will never do business with them again and would NOT recommend them. At least for dishwasher repair and this particular technician. Very sketchy read more

That electrician needs to come out then jokes "heck, with my luck the electrician will tell you we need to come out, hehehe". Electrician comes out. Voltage is fine. Charged for a service call because we could not afford to pay the $575 to repair our dryer that was 14 months old. Repair man didn't even look inside dryer. Made his diagnosis based on sound only coming from dryer! 10% Discount coupons not allowed unless you go for the "full" repair and as senior citizens on SS was unable to handle this. As an addition to my post of 10-22-2018, No one got back to us as the repairman said they would. The person that picked up my washer and dryer ( not a professional repairman) called me back to say he found the motor, too, was good. It was a bobby pin in the water pump. It cost him nothing to repair it. Meanwhile, I not only am out the waste of money to A-1, I had to buy a new matching washer and dryer and lost my 5 year old set for no good reason. Bought a used washer and dryer 2 weeks ago. But the company I bought them from would not return my calls , so that I could have them fix the washer under their "warranty ". When I called A1, they were pretty booked for the day, but were able to fit me in. They found that the bottom of the tank was full of what appeared to be clay, causing the washer to not work properly. They got it cleaned out and looks like it's running tip top now. I had never used them, but I will now call them whenever I have any appliance issues!! I was shocked when he told me it was 85 dollars. I was expecting much more. read more

A1 first came to fix our leaking washer on Oct 17, 2014. The technician replaced a hose and charged us $150. (Invoice # 26323) The same hose began leaking again, and the same technician came again on Feb 12, 2015 and replaced the hose under warranty. He charged us $65 for the labor. (Ticket # 28004, Invoice # 28004) The same hose began leaking again, and the same technician came again on May 20, 2015. He replaced the hose again (3rd time) and left us a "No charge" ticket. (Ticket # 29322) On July 28, 2015, my wife called to report the washer leaking again. They refused service, claiming that we did not pay our last service charge, though we have the invoice showing the $65 credit & $0 balance. So, in addition to apparently charging another $65 after the technician left a "No charge" ticket, they essentially said my wife was lying about it. read more

Called A-1 this morning on my way to work to schedule a washing machine repair. Got a new great-grandson in the house, so can't do without a washing machine. They came out TWICE, once when my grandson didn't wake up for the call and in the afternoon after he woke up! Said that they understood about having a newborn in the house, as they have two of the same, and gave me a great price for the repair. In December I am always running short due to trying to make good holidays for the family, and this breakdown came at a most inopportune moment. But because of A-1, my Christmas for my 16 grandchildren and first great-grandson is saved! Thanks, A-1!!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR APPLIANCE REPAIR NEEDS! I had a refrigerator stop working. The technician they sent out misdiagnosed the problem twice. By the FIFITH VISIT (two visits to diagnosis, two visits to install unnecessary parts), a second technician accompanied the first, a third possible problem was diagnosed...he seemed knowledgeable and ordered the right part, he hoped. After this 'right part' was identified, they CANCELLED ON US THREE TIMES for the install. First cancel, they didn't have it when they said it was at their warehouse. Second cancel, the part arrived broken. Third cancel, they ordered the wrong part (this one they let me know after I waited to two-hour window for the tech to come out). At this point, my family has surpassed three weeks without a fridge, my husband had taken off work on three separate occasions to meet a technician. I called and spoke with their manager Tina, explained how upset I was, SHE BLAMED THE MANUFACTURER. Never apologized. At one point, blamed us for saying the freezer was broken. I'm the one who called them, never said our freezer was broken, just the fridge side. She refused to meet my requests to speak with an owner of the company, told me it was 'never going to happen' and hung up on me. I called back and explained she had no right to refuse my opportunity to talk with an owner of this 'family owned' small business...she said she would 'pass a message along'. This is by far THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD WITH A SMALL BUSINESS IN MY LIFE. Things go wrong, I get that, but this company wasted my time and money and then hung me when I wanted to talk to someone in charge. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSSEL, HIRE ANY OTHER COMPANY! read more

Have a Samsung refrigerator with new water filter not installing. called A1. Serivce man came, says filter housing needed to be replaced, but has trouble with finding Samsung parts, Pd $79.99 for trip. Service man said he would look for the part and call me. Next day call said part found and another $258.93 (total cost less $79.99) to fix my problem. Had service replalce part and paid bill. Asked how much was labor and how much parts cost. Service said he didn't know. Called A1 and lady said she didn't know I need to ask service man. Unfortuately no one at A1 knew the price of the parts. Interesting. A couple of days later I went to appliance part store and got the prices: part $66.83 and new filter $44.99. Why the mystery for the A1 customer. read more

Apologies were made and the service man did an outstanding job on the oven work, as well as working to turn my first impression around. Reasonable pricing and quick work to completion. I wrote a bad review of A-1 Appliance in Tulsa last week because they sent a repairman out who either (a) did not know how to repair my washing machine, or (B) he was trying to sell me something I didn't need; I don't know what was going through his mind. After he insisted I either needed a new motherboard, or a new washer, my roommate checked it and showed me that the motherboard was fine - my roommate could start the washing machine, the repairman A-1 sent out could NOT. Of course we still had to deal with A-1 because they sent this guy out and I had already paid $77 to have him NOT fix it. The repairman came back and decided we needed a part that would take a few days to get in, but instead it took another week. Then the repairman was supposed to come out to fix the machine today, but I got a call that the owners of A-1 were upset that I gave them a bad review (apparently the owners we too busy to call themselves, so they had a receptionist do it) and so they are not going to send the repairman, and they claim they will refund my money. So to recap, I have been waiting almost 2 weeks for A-1 to repair my washing machine, and after 2 visits they did NOTHING in that time except misdiagnosis and make an excuse on why they are NOT repairing it. Personally, I can't imagine a worse case scenario I could have had with a repair shop. The receptionist (or whoever it was) who called me kept explaining that A-i is "a 5-Star company" - a 5-star rating is easy to achieve, if you don't count the opinions of all the people who have had a bad opinion of your company. Overall, I would say A-1 had now given me the worst experience I have ever had with a repair service. Sears is sending someone out tomorrow. I've learned my lesson; never trust a mom and pop store to do the job of a corporation. read more

We had them come out and service our dryer when a heating element had gone out. He quoted us a price of 360.00 but said he would give us a discount of 35.00. We were already being charged 80.00 regardless of our decision so I told him to go ahead and complete the job. After he left I called two other appliance centers and they both quoted me a price of 72.00 for the heating element and 85.00 to install. The total job would be less than 160.00. They charged me double this. The technician did a great job on the installation but I do not see how companies can stay in business when they charge prices like this. Lesson learned...I would check around before using them again. read more

The technician that worked on it was so nice and friendly and spent quality time testing my washer and making sure it was working properly. They sent a "contract service man" to check my refrigerator ice maker. Within 15 seconds of opening the freezer he said they needed to replace ice maker and control board for $450. They never really checked anything. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I called to see what the "office" had to say about the lack of really checking it out and they said they leave all this up to the "contract service man". AGAIN DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. read more
