After calling Will's shop and speaking with Riley, she offered for me to bring it in the following morning to run some diagnostics and provide me with an estimate. I brought the vehicle in early that morning, and by the afternoon, I received a call from Will with the results. Unfortunately, the cost of the repair exceeded the value of the vehicle, as it had 200k miles on it, so I am electing to purchase another vehicle. Will was kind enough to email me a detailed itemization of the repair expenses. It was obvious he had put a lot of time into the evaluation and repair estimate, which he did not charge me for. Although I did not utilize his repair services, I can advocate for his professionalism, transparency, and honest business practices. Another important item to note is that I had called about 5 other repair shops around Kalispell and Bigfork, and his shop was the only one that had the equipment and skill set to do the job, besides taking it to the dealership. They checked it for free and said nothing needed to get done urgently. Half a year later I went again, because my rear brakes definitely needed replacement (so I thought). I've casually known the owner Jim for a few years and knew he was an honest, stand up guy, so when I hit a deer and damaged the front end of my car, I thought I'd call him first. The very first thing he did was ask if the kids and I were ok. I've never had a body shop take the few seconds it took him to see me as a person and not just a client/paycheck. The second thing he told me was "My job is to do the work for you and make this as easy as possible for you and your family." That alone made me feel like his business might be the best choice for me to take care of my repairs. He immediately made time for me to swing by and check out the damage, took all the photos and explained how to work with the insurance. He made this process SO EASY, I couldn't believe it! We were leaving town the next morning and I worried our trip would be peppered with calls from insurance but he was so thorough, the only call I received was insurance telling me they issued a check for repairs. He kept me informed through the whole process, from progress to parts delays, so I never felt like I was unaware of what was happening. I realized I needed something out of my car like 10 days into this, and he met me personally to make sure I could access my vehicle and get what I needed. I would never have imagined I'd leave a review for auto body repair, but they made it so easy and the quality of work they did made the vehicle look better than before I even hit the deer! The price was very reasonable, and they went above and beyond in so many ways, including checking my battery and recharging it for FREE, simply because it was the right thing to do.
