After the recipient sent me a photograph of what was delivered, I contacted the florist by email and provided photographs of both the arrangement advertised and the one received. The shop's response was disappointing and defensive. Rather than addressing the obvious differences, I was told that the photographs had been taken from different angles and that the person who created the arrangement had 40 years of industry experience. I was also advised that, because I had paid for the more expensive "Deluxe" upgrade, the roses were full-sized. Neither explanation addresses the issue. First, a Deluxe upgrade should provide a noticeably larger, fuller, and more impressive arrangement--not merely serve as a justification for the selection of flowers. Second, the delivered arrangement contained three clusters of small roses and only two large roses. The overall design was haphazard, lacked structure and form, and was nowhere near the quality or appearance represented in the advertised photograph. I paid for a specific arrangement and an upgraded version of that arrangement. The florist failed to meet those expectations and, when given an opportunity to address the matter, chose to defend the result rather than acknowledge the shortcomings. Based on both the quality of the arrangement and the response to my legitimate complaint, I would not recommend this florist. Customers should be able to expect that what they order will reasonably reflect what is advertised--and that their concerns will be handled professionally when it does not.

The family requested that flowers be delivered to the church annex and not the church itself, which is a little unusual. The florist sent me an email requesting clarification on where to deliver the flowers.
