My wife told me the women's bathroom had used tampons on the floor and a lady was using the sink to take a bath. Oddly enough, the men's bathroom wasn't all that bad, because that is typically an indicator of how well or how poorly the women's bathroom is maintained. Secondly, after leaving, I discovered that the pump I had filled up at hadn't actually filled up my tank. I was only at 3/4 of a tank. Being quite familiar with filling up on road trips, I've never had to worry that the pump cut off early, so that's something to watch out for. I didn't notice which pump number it was, but in all my experience, I've never had to worry about that. Beware when stopping here...as for us, once is more than enough. Never again.

I'm only out at night so it's usually between midnight and 4:00 in the morning that I stop in to buy gas and soda plus odds and ends. The night crew has been so great to me it means a lot to me that they help me, as it is a major inconvenience to get my wheelchair out get in it and go in the store. This location is about 2 hours north of the border of TX and OK. They boasted the cleanest bathrooms. I had to check it out. It was a decent sized gas station with a good amount of pumps. The huge dug statue out front is what I guess their mascot is. The outside was well maintained and clean. They also has gated off areas for dogs to run free and do their business. Inside was spacious with the usual things like snacks, coffee and fountain drink stations, roller dogs, and other gas station items. The real test was the bathroom. Was it the cleanest? Buc-ee's wins that competition. The air was a little rough in the bathroom and needed some better ventilation. Paper towels were littered on the floor, but that's equally the customer's fault too. OnCue seems to have the Oklahoma area covered quit well as I saw them quite a bit on my route. Overall, it was a good option on the route as well. I'd stop in on any of their locations again if in the area.

The store has a nice variety of merchandise, with plenty to browse without feeling overwhelming. What I especially enjoyed was finding several local products--those are always the things I look for when traveling because they make much better souvenirs than something you could buy anywhere. Definitely worth stopping in if you're exploring Arcadia and Route 66. Be sure to walk around back while you're there--the enormous mural celebrating Arcadia, Route 66, and local history is worth seeing too!
