Food is great, environment just as nice. Server is the only knock on this place. Doesn't greet. Very abrupt. Rude at times. Besides that I'd say everything else is solid. read more

Excellent location, especially by boat. Diverse menu, not just your typical seafood menu. Service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. read more

This place is honestly not great. My experience here was horrible. I was sated right away but the service here is extremely unprofessional. The waiter smelt like weed and wasn't the nicest. For appetizers I ordered fish fritters and they were doughy with little to no fish in it. I the. Ordered oxtail with rice and peas, the oxtail was super gingery and I was told that there was no rice and peas after ordering and waiting 30 minutes. What kind of Caribbean restaurant doesn't have rice and peas. The waiter proceeded to give me white rice and when I asked for gravy I got absolutely nothing. I will never return! read more

So first let me say this is a beautiful establishment located in Queens. Kudos to whomever picked out the decor. I absolutely loved the cozy garden feel. At 1 point we were a bit cold bc we were seated near the door and requested to be moved in which the friendly host staff did. They also turned up the heat for us. The food was flavorful and plentiful. The plating could be worked on but I left full and satisfied. So here is the downside. Sometimes I feel with Caribbean establishments we fall short and we hire who we can in the midst of trying to give someone a chance without giving proper training and etiquette. The appetizers came out. We ate.. we loved it. The entrees come out without removing our empty appetizer dishes. So we are sitting at a full table with empty plates on top of trying to find room for our entrees. We are a table of 4. On several occasions, my food was handed to me in my hand instead of being placed on the table probably because there was no room. We had to ask for our plates to be removed. Eventually, a female server did come over and remove a few items. At the same time, as a Caribbean family dining at a Caribbean establishment we felt right at home. The vibe was cool too. Music was appropriate. I was happy to see quite a few groups (there is a private room for events) and families with kids dining. This place will definitely get my dollars again - hopefully they fine tune the customer service aspect. PS their oxtail and rasta pasta is delish. We took that home and loved it. The codfish fritters are bomb too! read more

This is a trendy and cozy Caribbean restaurant. Lots of music and pretty decor. The server was very friendly and accommodating. The wait time for our orders took a little while but it was worth it. The food was very tasty. I would definitely return again. read more

A beautiful Caribbean restaurant with delicious food and great customer service. I celebrated my birthday on an especially crowded Saturday night with a large group and they took good care of us. There was a DJ on site who kept the good vibes going. It was a great night! read more

I came here for a birthday brunch . This place is great for groups and celebrating birthdays. They give birthday shoutouts upon request. Great music. The food portions were good. The rice and peas were dry but good. The fish was good. Salad was soggy. Nice cup size for the rum punch. Only two stalls in the bathroom and the place was packed today. read more

Do not go to this place . I was placed outside because I wanted a hookah . I paid 45 dollars for a hookah and I gave the waiter 60 he did not bring my money back . Now I have to go back up there and get my money . Food was good . This one particular server who serves the hookahs was terrible. read more

My group started inside the restaurant and let me tell you it's beautiful, we then to the backyard which is also so beautiful. The food is amazing I had the steam mussels and escovitch shrimp for appetizers the jerk snapper and white rice for my main course, a passion fruit mojito everything was amazing. The service is awesome, I love how the waiter came and check on us. I l love love this restaurant, this is a restaurant you have to try. The food was amazing but if the building cannot fully funtion with a large party then that should be stated at the door or upon booking. We came for a small party of 5 and the supervisor on the floor seemed annoyed when we simply asked why we did not have silverware. She also explained all the oxtail were purched by the large party. Once again that should have be stated upon booking. I heard nothing but great things about your establishment but I'm guessing tonight was too much for your staff to handel. By the way the waiter Stephon was great. Now I know the supervisor is the owner. It also took over 35 minutes for our food to arrive. We just took it to go. I would not have anyone spend money to support her since she did not try to fix any of the problems that occurred read more

Disappointing. The place is small. We were seated and then forgotten. No one was rude. We just seemed to be invisible. Wait staff flying back and forth not one stopped to greet us at the table . The SOCIAL MEDIA hype is not real. Skip this one. It's snowing outside it is not even crowded. Moving on. read more

So listen, came here for a nice Sunday dinner with my cousins. We had the oxtail, salmon, and snapper. All were amazing, piping hot, and tasty. Food was made to order so it took a little while but it was worth the wait. A bit short staffed so the waiters and bartenders were stretched thin. Music was a bit loud for the evening setting but we made the most of it. Would come back. read more

Came all the way from NJ for nothing. My bf saw this place on An IG reel and wanted to try it. We drove 90 min just to waste our time, gas, and tolls. We waited about 15 min to be seated. They told us to sit in the lounge. We didnt even know where it was so we awkwardly stood in a corner in the back. No one addressed us. No server wS friendly or inviting. When we were seated outside, I felt catfished from the IG reel I saw. But we took all this time to come out here so We were willing to make the best of it. The music was terrible. 3 different types of music where playing throughout the establishment. The dj outside was even worse. His transitions to the dancehall music was beyond terrible. Fast forward, we were seated outside with no server for another 15 min. Then our server cane which was a man. We gave our order which was 2 orders of jerk chicken, 2 orders of festival, rum punch, and a strawberry margarita. 20 min goes by and he comes to tell us the kitchen RAN OUT OF JERK CHICKEN! Like wtf! I only eat chicken and my bf specifically came for the jerk chicken. He tried to convinced us to get the chicken pasta, but we just decided to leave and try to find another place to eat since we drove 90 mim to get here. I would never ever step foot in this establishment again. I got bad vibez from the door and should of listened to my instinct read more

I will preface this by saying we were a huge party and I wish the restaurant would've just said they wouldn't be able to accommodate us. The service was absolutely terrible. It was a pre-fixe menu so you would think it would be easier since we had limited options. I will say the appetizers were the best part of the meal. The soup, jerked shrimp and jerked chicken wings were really good. Our large party essentially did the jobs of the waiters, passing each other water and reminding them of what each of us ordered since it seemed they didn't write it down. The Rasta pasta might have been the best thing on the menu yet it was the last item to come out after waiting for so long. How long does it take to boil pasta? The salmon was missing flavor, there's better oxtail at Fisherman's Cove, the steamed veggies were cold, the mashed potatoes just tasted like the potatoes and butter. The escovitch fish was also lacking flavor. We really could've went to a different restaurant for the amount of money we spent there. I will not be back. The best thing about the place was the huge mirror in the ladies' room. read more

Me and my boyfriend went around five pm to check out their happy hour. This place is amazing!! It is beautifully decorated and the ambiance is amazing. The music was on point they were jamming but the fooooooood tho!! I had the oxtail roti and he had oxtails with rice and peas and veggies. Everything was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. We both had their rum punch and it was strong and good!! I can't wait to go again and try something else! I def recommend checking this place out a few times! read more

My boyfriend and I came here on a Thursday evening after work. It wasn't packed with people and it was a nice atmosphere. For appetizers we tried the codfish fritters and the fried calamari. We loved the fried calamari as it was very fresh, but the codfish fritters were nothing to rave about. My boyfriend had a tropical mojito and I had their rum punch... the rum punch was a hit. For entree I had the red snapper with coconut sauce, and wow!!! I was very impressed... it was delicious. On the other hand my boyfriend ordered the oxtail rasta pasta and honestly we've had better. The oxtails were not tender and the rasta pasta was somewhat dry. Overall a cute little spot... the bill came to about $200 with tip. read more

Went to this restaurant for my best friends birthday. We were excited to come here however we were not prepared for the disaster to come. It took about 30 minutes for water to touch the table and our drinks took an hour to come. Our food didn't arrive until almost 2 hours after our reservation time. The team did nothing to compensate the extremely long wait time. We were all really upset. The vibe was nice and the music was amazing. The food was also very tasty. But for 2 hours...come at your own risk. read more

I came to check out this spot after driving by it several times in the past month. Wanted to "test drive" it before recommending it to others. First impression: nice decor. Modern look. Nice touch with the flowered ceiling. Stood by the door uncomfortably for a few minutes. Not sure whether to seat ourselves or wait to be noticed. Young man came over. No mask. In fact nobody wote masks. ‍ Menu: Happy Hour 1/2 on appetizers and lower priced drinks. I ordered a mango martini and my friend ordered a rum punch (you can not mess up a rum punch). Unfortunately neither hit the spot. The mango martini was extra sweet and the rum punch left something to desire. We ordered the crab cakes and jerk wings. Then we asked about the Soup of the Day. The cooks had not yet decided what the meat would be? Ummm. No. Then we found out it would would be chicken but would have to wait maybe 15 minutes. So that was the first cancel. Umm. You open at 4pm but don't have the SOD ready. Especially on a cold rainy day? Sorry no pics of food cause we paid for the drinks despite how underwhelming they were and left. Not off to a good start for me. I was so looking to finding a spot to rival The Door. I'll be back on another day. Maybe later in the evening on a weekend? I'm all for second chances. 2 Stars for the decorator though. ‍ read more

I made a reservation for 9:30 on open table I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager named Vanessa and asked if we come a little later would it be okay she told me the kitchen closes at 10pm and we need to be there by 9pm in order to be served. Why would you guys have have open availability after 9pm if you know the kitchen closes at 10pm and instead of accommodating me the manager just cancelled the reservation. you guys need to do better. read more

I wanted to eat here for a long time. I finally got to go and I was underwhelmed. The wait for the food was very long and when the food arrived it was cold. I had the salmon with the veggies and potatoes and although the flavor was good, the temperature disappointed me. I had their rum punch which was very sweet. More sugar than liquor. Even tho I wasn't thrilled, I would go back and give it another shot. I've been there when it was Island Taste for drinks and vibes. This time I'm not sure what happened. It was a Saturday too. read more

Made reservations for a party of 10 (deposit required). The food is delicious, every person enjoyed they ordered off of the prefixed 3 course menu (oxtail, snapper, salmon etc). Well seasoned, neat presentation. The portions are healthy, everyone had a take home box. My only complaint is the auction of food, they should have a better system when the food comes out. It was confusing to see 4 waiters come out with plates all speaking at once. Of course the ambiance is chic. The rum punch is strong! They pour "Wray and him nephew". Money well spent. Definitely would return. read more

1st off the phone # they provided on yelp doesn't work. As I got there I was seated along with my wife, the waitress took our orders then we waited about 20-25min for our food in which our appetizer and entree came out at the SAME TIME. It was $45.99 per person which includes unlimited mimosas or sangria. I ordered the sangria my wife had the mimosas. The waitress never brought out the sangria along with another side. When the oxtail came out the grits wasn't even warm it got hard n clumpy. It wasn't bad but it felt like it been sitting out a while or under a light. It seems like they were very understaffed they should've been more prepared for this weekend.I live not too far and I won't be coming back. DONT BELIEVE THE IG HYPE! read more

The appetizers were alright. For my entree, I had the Branzino fish. I didn't like it. It was dry and had no flavor, bland.
