My fiancée visited Kingston Grill today with three children, hoping for an enjoyable family meal. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing, primarily due to the service. She ordered the jerk chicken and asked for sauce on three separate occasions. Each request appeared to be ignored. As anyone familiar with Caribbean cuisine knows, sauce can be an important part of the overall flavor experience, and without it, she found the jerk chicken bland and lacking the flavor she expected. Adding to the frustration, communication at the counter was difficult, as she had trouble understanding the person assisting her. When a customer has to repeat a simple request multiple times and still doesn't receive what was requested, it can quickly turn an otherwise pleasant meal into a disappointing experience. Kingston Grill may have the potential to offer good Caribbean food, but attention to customer service, communication, and listening to customers' requests is essential. This is the wack a** oxtail dish they charge almost $20 for, like let's be serious. And most of the oxtail was fatty. I live down the street and am so disappointed everytime I come here. They are always missing somethingggg most commonly the plaintains that come w every dish. They are cheap w all their food and RUDE as ever. There is one girl from Barbados that works there and she's literally the only kind one I've encountered there. Went for dinner for the family and got three large dishes. We ordered jerk chicken, jerk pork, and fried chicken. The food came fully packed in their containers and was more than enough for a family of four. We had mixed vegetables and oxtail gravy on the rice. The rice had was cooked perfectly and had coconut flavors, the octail gravy was thick and delicious. My favorite dish was the jerk pork. It was cooked very tender and moist. The pork absorbed the jerk flavors very well. The jerk chicken however did not absorb the flavor as well but was still good even though it did not taste like it came of off a jerk pan grill. The fried chicken according to my jamaican wife was French fried and tasted excellent. The meat was moist and succulent. The chicken skin got soggy because it was sealed with the rice. So if you get that tell them to put the chicken separate in a paper bag. It felt like we had a home cooked meal after we were done. And for that, it's well worth another visit. read more

A helping if callaloo was left in the pan. No more provisions left. So the young lady gave me HALF of the portion of veg left in the pan. I said you don't have the provisions so I thought you would put that little bit in my container. It was not even a full portion to sell someone. She said that's like an extra spoon. WHAAAAAA? Wow. He bought the family dinner tonight (family of 4) and spent $30, this was the first time he hasn't complained about spending that much money. My husband and children had stewed chicken with rice and I had jerk chicken with peas and rice. I would eat that over and over again.
