I have been driving past this place for years and it looked like a dumpy cousins franchise so I never stopped by. The place closed for a while for a remodel just over a year ago and reopened but I just never went over because it was always that dumpy cousins in my head. I got a coupon in the mail with four offerings and the buy one get one free was the best one and since I have cousins a few times a year I thought I would go be a cheap ass and get two subs for under $6. If you didn't see the Cousins sign street side you would never think it was a Cousins by looking at the building. The inside is much cooler than the outside with a modern industrial look with pipe rails, sheet metal, stone wall and metal light fixtures. There is nice booths along with open rich dark wood tables and chairs against dark wood floors which is cool looking for a Cousins compared to the old ones. The place was clean and fresh looking with color on the walls. You start at the beginning of the Subway style ingredient table and they make your sub to order or off the menu. My service was up there for fast food chains and he tried his hardest to up sell anything to make up for the coupon but I'm not a soda drinker and none of the sides were appealing to me at the time. I had the Italian sub sandwich on that creamy soft bread which I like so much and really the only reason I like Cousins along with and the onions that they put on the subs also. Overall after reading all the bad reviews I can't say I experienced anything to give them any lower stars or a bad review because I left with nothing bad to review, unlike my last review. read more

Do not go to this Cousins. Terrible service and ownership. Utilized the drive thru to order--since were in a pandemic and we have a newborn. Got home to realize one of our subs did not have meat as ordered. Upon calling the restaurant, we were put on hold for 15+ minutes. My husband spoke to the owner who said we had to drive back to the restaurant and return the sandwich in order to receive a refund. Mind you, we used the drive thru for convenience. Stopped in this morning about 10: 15am. I forget the clerk's name. She was just finishing up possibly a snack she brought in. She walked over to the sink, washed her hands and came up to the cash register. She took my order. Gave me a total. Took the cash and gave me back change. This is my favorite sub place now! I am not a fan of subs but this place has changed my mind. You can get most subs as a salad if you do not want the bread. You can change the lettuce to spring mix if you like something a bit more healthy. The sandwich making is super fast. They take out or delivery and they even have hot food like french fries and cheese curds. I was so surprised at how good this place was. I even stopped here one day after running errands and got a sub to go and the place is super clean. I was impressed!! Definitely give it a try. read more

Seriously sucks I've been at this location in years past, it's pretty dive-y inside now. Sandwiches are your standard fare but service is terrible. On top of the wait, when I finally ordered (15 minutes after I walked in) my 2 subs and cheese curds the person who took my order spelled my name wrong even though I spelled it for her. Sure each person knew what their job was but they were quick to yell at each other and blame someone else when a mistake was made. I am not quite sure why this location has a bunch of bad reviews. This is a newer remodeled location. I was greeted promptly as I walked in. All of the employees were friendly. I was a little confused to the layout but I was directed where to order. You order on one end and pay at the other end. I placed my order. The food did not take very long at all. The order was correct. The club was delicious. The fries were super hot and good. From start to finish, we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. This is the kind of place if you are having limited time, you should call ahead and order so it is ready for pick up when you need it. read more

Chose to stop here after work today to grab a sandwich that I could bring to work for the next few days. The employees were very nice. I would say that this is one of the nicer Cousins out there. However, I came in ordered a specialty sandwich that could come either with chicken as the major protein or steak. Specified to the person taking orders that I wanted the chicken. Just went to cut the sandwich for lunch tomorrow and it was steak. I... Just paid how much money for food I likely won't eat... Disappointed! On the upside I do have a potentially great plan in terms of ordering. There is one person at a computer at the beginning of the line putting orders into the system. The grill and assembly line is in the middle and the cashier helps to organize and expedite delivery to the customer. However, I stopped in right before dinner hour and there was literally one person to fulfill each task and not only did the workers appear flustered, the service was rather slow. read more

I wanted to create a fairly large order for a business meeting today. I searched the cousin's website for a menu I could take around to gather orders. The only menu they have on the site is not printable, making it impossible to take orders. I tried to complain on the site, but their feedback utility doesn't work, and they provide no email or phone number to provide feedback. Looks like Cousin's doesn't want to know customer perceptions or ways to improve. The food is always great, but they sure make it near impossible to place a large order. It's like they don't want my business. There's no reason they couldn't create an 8.5x11 .pdf menu for us to download and print. read more

Had lunch here today, Thursday, October 22, 2015. This is my first time this location, and my first time going to a Cousins Subs. I work nearby and have seen this place countless times but never thought to go in. After begin disappointed with the food where I work, I decided to give it a try. I found the interior of the restaurant to be better looking and nicer than the exterior. I elected to eat in, and completely enjoyed the quiet and calm environment. I hate tomatoes, hate, hate, hate them and when I order my subs here with out tomatoes they always come exactly that way. After a poor customer service experience with the Mayfair Rd. location today, I took my business to this location. When I called, the lady was very pleasant. When I got there, another customer noticed my work uniform and asked why I didn't go to a closer experience. I explained to him why. When I got to the register, the employee said he overheard part of my conversation and asked what happened. Since he had asked, I told him as well. Instead of just listening and telling me he was sorry to hear that, he went above and beyond by taking off one of my subs. He also stated that he was happy for my business. He too was friendly and very professional. I definitely was not expecting that as a response! At the same time, another customer went back to the counter with his sandwich. He stated that he had asked for extra lettuce and thought there could be more. Another employee took care of him, with no further questions/explanation and had another satisfied customer. A few weeks ago I ordered a meat ball sub. When I opened up my sandwich at home, there were NO meatballs on my sub. NO MEATBALLS! So I called and told the manager what happened. She offered me a free meal the next time I come in. This was acceptable. HOWEVER... I just went and ordered my meal. Once again they did not have multi grain bread (5:00pm), I asked for no onions but they were on the sandwich anyway and my fries were cold.
