We've been here many times when visiting my in-laws in Green Bay, and to tell you the truth I've…read morenever really eaten the food, maybe the ribs once but I usually would just have a few drinks. My girls like this place and wanted to come here on this trip mainly for the nostalgia. So I was presently surprised how good the food tasted. It's a cool restaurant with the "lodgey" feel and it doesn't look worn with age. The staff and our waitress were awesome, they had to make some adjustments to seat our large party and our waitress was really patient as a few of our party were not there at the time of our reservation. Service was fast but not rushed, even though it was a busy night. We started with our drinks and some great fried cheese curds. Cheese curds have become popular throughout the Midwest but for some reason they never taste as good as the ones you get in Wisconsin. They have an impressive list of bourbons, though my father in law said that they usually don't all the Buffalo Trace bourbons that's listed. My daughter and I shared the "special of the day" perch platter. The perch was crispy and piping hot and delicious. The sides were pedestrian but decent. The others at our table got the tenderloin sandwich, half rack of tender juicy ribs, the coconut crusted shrimp and the Caribbean chicken pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It's a very good choice for American pub grub but for my wife and daughters, there are the great memories of meeting up with family and enjoying a good dinner and their company.

I came here twice because the menu had so many yummy dishes, the parking and location is easy to…read moreget to and the service from the Host to the server are top-notch. The chefs here create their dishes in a timely manner. It looks like a massive wood lodge with 2 floors of dining and a bar/music area. Mostly families dining all around and mostly couples in the bar area. The bar area has tv sports on.

Love the game area, but disappointed that SkeeBall is no longer there. I grew up in Appleton and loved when we had a location, but GB isn't far to go. Every time I come back to visit, it's always a stop...no matter how much time I have. I now live out of state and don't have a Happy Joe's location any where near me. Rachel is amazing! She remembers me and my gaming when we come in and exactly the pizza that we order. That's quite a thing because I might be in over or twice a year! She goes out of her way to make sure her guests are taken care of. Definitely recommend visiting Happy Joe's! See you next year!

Well, they went and did it. They overhauled the gaming area, and they wrecked it…read more Gone are the physical tokens used to play games. In their place is a cheap, plastic card - like a credit card - which kids are supposed to load with funds and they tap against the machines to play. This is not an intuitive setup, and the youngest of kids will never understand how this works; previously, even the youngest of kids understood how many tokens they still had remaining to spend based upon what was in their hand. Gone is skeeball. Gaming prices have increased, too. Caveman Clobber previously cost $0.25 to play; now it costs $0.40 to play. Gone also are the physical tickets. No more kids being excited watching a machine spit out hundreds of tickets. Nope. Now the kids get a digital credit on their cheap, plastic card. Lame. The pizza hasn't changed. It's still lackluster. Now, there is no reason to ever return to Happy Joe's. Thanks for the memories, and best of luck!
