What can I say. When I was young I loved this sport. I'm now 52 and go maybe twice a year. I love it. So much fun and cousins makes it simple. Great stuff on hand and the courts are lots of fun. We arrange my company outings 1-2 times a year in Long Island. I bring usually a nice gun which I bought from cousins and we go play. They have it all. Masks gear guns. And all top notch. Some of the guys who work at cousins I know since they were kids. Always support your local places by playing. The prices are great too for gear and guns. Air refills all good. Dam. TRASH. After driving an hour to the field I was told "sorry just handed out all our rentals to a party of 20 people so please come back in 2 hours and we'll have rentals available". I then proceeded to wait in the parking lot for 2 hours only to be told the exact same excuse all over again. Looks like I wasted 2 hours in commuting and 2 hours waiting in the parking lot for NOTHING. Not only am I never giving this dump my business moving forward, I will bring this place down 1 inbred at a time. read more

Upon arrival we learned that our "3 hour" private party was actually only 2hrs and 30min of play time (my reservation from 2:00-5:00pm only allowed us to play from 2pm until 4:30pm time block.) I would have appreciate it if they clarified this with me when I booked the reservation over the phone. Apparently with a group of 19, they could only have us play in their 2 large fields which was a good walk distance away. We must've spent 30 minutes of our entire play period walking back and forth to the building to reload, refill air pressure, fixing our jammed guns, and then waiting for our ref to lead us back out again. Our first impression was sensing the annoyed or negative attitude during our orientation. I understand that with a group of 19, activities like these inevitably require more time and effort to get everyone on the same page, especially when it comes time to migrating in and our of the huge field as a large group. However, we felt our ref put little effort or demonstrated little patience is rallying up everyone and emphasizing the time restraints to get us moving more efficiently and maximize our time. With parties of this size, management should assign refs who have the personality, attitude, communication skills and leadership experience to lead groups into the sport and show them a good time. By 4:10PM, 20 minutes before our time was up, we were asked to return our rentals. We should've been informed about the target shooting pen and offered the option to hold onto our guns for the time remaining to use up our left over paintballs. read more

Unfortunately had a horrible experience yesterday at Cousins Paintball Long Island. We had a group of 12 playing open play and ends up they were short staffed for refs that day on open play. There were numerous players shooting at people that were out of bounds. I understand getting shot sometimes when off to the sides of the field happens but this kept occurring game after game. The refs were not able to control the game nor were they interested in doing so it was a free for all. When trying to get the refs attention about the players lighting up a crowd of people off to the side that were all out was immediately dismissed and then I was telling him we have kids playing with us immediately went to verbally attack me about my parenting choices and not being a good father. After the game was over I approached the ref and asked for his name and he refused to give me his name, says its none of my concern or business. As he did not want to address anything with me I wanted to go speak to the manager on staff. He said I could go do whatever the F I want. On the way back to the office other players I was with listened as he continue to say F him, I told the other players to stop what the F more does he want me to do. He can go F himself I dont care what he does. My kids heard this directly along with the other parents I was with as they were walking behind him on the way back. In the end I believe his name was Curtis. Upon returning to the main area I asked the man running the rental station for the manager he referred me to an employee named Fowler. I went into the main office where Curtis was and asked to speak to Fowler. The were a bunch of staff and none of them could be interested in even looking at me or speaking to me. you could see the looks on there faces. Curtis went off to get Fowler the manager on staff and brought him back in after a few minutes. The owner was more annoyed then anything in speaking to us about it. He had nothing to say about us getting shot on the offsides over and over. Except for did you see who did it. Which we did not see. Again is not really the issue. The main issue is how the ref treated myself, refused to disclose his name, and curse about me in front of all the other players and my children. Not once did the manager have the ref Curtis apologize or recognize that his behavior was something anyone should do. He did only apologize for the bad experience but this was after several minutes of him looking at us like we were crazy for even bringing this up. So at that point I walked out as nothing was going to get resolved. Afterwards I went to ask for the owners name from the manager and he said you have to get that from the office. So if something goes wrong on this field they will not be willing to give you any information. Again the manager was just a young kid and did not know how to even attempt to handle a situation professionally. As well the ref Curtis during the conversation was talking to other staff behind the manager mocking me, rubbing his eyes mimicking crying. None of this was addressed by the manager. As well he was also vaping indoors during this entire exchange. In the end there are some good refs there doing there job and it only takes one or a few to ruin an experience. This post is related to the manager Fowler and the one ref involved. Overall this facility seems to be poorly run, open play is not regulated well and as compared to other facilities this place is run down and dated. Cousins used to be the best play to play on Long Island and have done for many years before. This disappointed me to write this as this could have all been addressed very easily with some common human decency, apology and acknowledgment from the ref that his behavior was wrong and inappropriate. read more

Absolute joke of a business. They claim to have rules which are for your safety. They enforce none of them. The refs laugh when you raise an issue like people shooting at extremely close range or shooting you from behind. One ref told me "What are you (me) gonna do about it" when I told him someone shot my little brother (12) at close blank range in the crotch. I wish I could give this place a zero stars. I bought my ticket off of grouping and when i arrived at the place the lady gave me such a hard time excepting my ticket. Because I didn't Call 48 hours in advance they wanted to charge me $10 as a fee. I asked the lady at the desk to show me where in the instructions didn't alert me to call ahead of time. She couldn't find it in the group and instructions to annoy in the fine print but was still adamant on charging me $10. First she said she needed to call the manager then she had to call the owner Paul. After they waived the bogus $10 reservation fee they then took another 30 minutes to just find my ticket that I bought off of Groupon even though I had the confirmation and ticket on my phone. This is my first time outdoor paint balling. All of these kept yelling at me or speaking to me as if I knew exactly what I was doing. The staff was very rude and impatient with me. They weren't sensitive in the fact was that I was a beginner and never did this before. I will never come to this place again and I will never recommend this place to anyone. Went recently with a group of friends (25 y.o and up) and had a blast! The courses were awesome and everyone had so much fun. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire process, from booking to the day of our event. The guys on the course with us were awesome and helped make the day special! Manager Samantha is a loose canon. She should not have that position as she opts to assault Cousin's Paintball customers instead of handling situations in an adult professional manner. I was a customer there once who was simply inquiring about their refund policy due to my inability to see through their goggles that I rented for play. I also rented one of their Paintball guns. It was my first time ever playing Paintball, and my first exposure to these staff members - definitely my last. I was yelled at harshly for lifting up the goggles which were scratched up, condensated, and rain-water-drenched to dry them off. I willingly left the course before game play even began. Without visibility out there, you're asking for it, so I left the fairplay course and proceeded back to my vehicle to sit it out. I was later told very rudely by staff members Jordan, Paul Sherman, wild Samantha and others that I broke the rules. Fine. No issue there rules are rules. I had no problem with that part. So I attempted to return the Paintball gun to Paul at the equipment trailer who advised me to Speak to Jordan about a possible refund and also to retrieve my purchased paintballs from the rented gun first. I proceeded to Jordan's trailer with the equipment and asked if a refund for gameplay was possible, and if not, what was the contact number for someone else to perhaps resolve this issue. But as I continued to inquire about their refund policy seeing that I never played a game set or even fired one Paintball, ms Samantha was elusive, and angrilly evasive in not supplying her supervisor's information. This is when all crazy comes out of Manager Sam. Then, out of the blue, she decides that it's a good idea to assault me in an attempt to rip the Paintball gun from my hands, twisting my arms shocking everyone involved. (Mind you, no one was asking for the paintball gun at that time, as it was obvious I had no interest in their equipment when I returned it to Paul, laid it on the table but again, he told me to carry it over to Jordan's trailer) So then Paul, Jordan, referee's and others immediately became hostile at the site of seeing a female attacking a male and jumped in to assist her in her assault. Because of them I am injured. Let's be clear, I never laid a hand on this individual or anyone rather, nor was any threats or intimidating behavior displayed to receive such horrific mistreatment. When I tell you that this woman lost her noodle, that is the fact. I had to call the police on these people who when they arrived, agreed that Samantha and everyone who put their hands on me was definitely out of line and not displaying professionalism. I will never go to this place again and I advise anyone else who is looking for a place to enjoy themselves to not consider Cousin's Paintball because management there act like rude animals!!! Would give zero stars if I could. Do not go to this place if you want to play paintball. All the staff is rude and very unhelpful, they all had massive attitudes with the exception of 1 young guy I met there who was actually a decent dude. I've gone there a few times and everytime has been a problem. Most recent I went there and they had no problem selling me a case of paint but failed to inform me that the speedball was all teams with a schedule already setup and there was no one playing open. Which lead to me standing aorund waiting from 9am to 11 because one ref told me the open players were still out in the field. I finally went to the desk to find out what was going on at 11:45 and the guy says there are no open players. So me and 2 other guys paid our fees but couldnt play and they didnt even tell us when we were buying it. Wasted an entire half a day. Any other time I go and try to play speedball its always a bunch of teams on the field and the employees do nothing to try and get walk ons on the field (of course they dont mind taking your money to play first anyway) . If you do happen to get on the speedball field as a walk on, youre against a TEAM and they run through you in 10 seconds. Its completely awful and again the staff does nothing to help out. No one gets chrono'd there so theres guys shooting well over 300+, been hit in the head felt like I got hit by a shovel. Its ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and go to high velocity, the staff is amazing there and the speedball field is actually organized to accommodate walk on players. They dont let the teams run the field instead of the staff. Cousins calverton field is the WORST paintball field on the island. Plus High Velocity has better fields overall. read more

I brought my friends here with College discount tickets! It was a crazy experience, felt like you're actually playing a real live call of duty. Don't trust people that say it doesn't hurt when you get shot, trust me it does!!! So I got the full equipment, vest, jumpsuit, and the belt to hold the paintballs. Anyway you don't need to rent those things, you might as well go with long sleeves and sweatpants because it still hurts a lot with all that equipment! But overall it was fun, and the people working there as nice too. :) read more

Great fun with a large group of friends who make good target practice. Experience: I have been to multiple locations for Cousins Paintball and this was the location I most recently visited. We had a great time since the weather wasn't too hot. We sweated a great amount since it rained the night before, but I've played in a downpour before, so this was nothing. If you are willing to shell out an extra $30 buy yourself a new paintball mask from the store because the majority of the rentals have a sweaty funk to them and a few are scratched making them difficult to see out of. If you are planning on going to paintball again, it is an investment that will be useful in the long run. Rent the protective chest armor as the paintballs smart if they hit you in the chest. I left with 16 welts after my last excursion because I was blindly aggressive in the majority of the games. If you reserved and the weather is terrible the paintball fields WILL be open, so make sure to plan accordingly and tell all people joining you that they will have to play rain or shine (or sleet). The only times they will close is if the weather is dangerous in any manner. The rental guns are decent quality. You will need refills after 500 shots (which lasts a while). They are a bit on the heavy side because of the air canisters. The accuracy is decent at best, but if you learn their normal trajectories you can quickly fix the accuracy problem. I don't recommend buying a paintball gun as they usually range over the $200 mark, but if you are planning on going multiple times in the future, just like the mask, it is a smart investment. Service: The referees (employees) are very knowledgeable (I would hope they are) and helpful to the new players (N00bs) and made the experienced players listen in. This is to make sure all rules are followed. They don't interfere in any match unless rules are being broken, which usually are: 1) People shooting guns when they were told to stop 2) People removing facemasks at any point in time. - - - This is an extremely important rule as you can lose an eye. Safety First! Recommendations: My main recommendation is to gather a group of people who aren't lazy and willing to put in the effort to make every minute worth it. We lost over 1.5 hours waiting for pizza to arrive because people were too lazy to go back out onto the fields while we waited for our food to arrive. That is 1-2 games we lost because people got lazy, that and our food took a while to arrive. If you have to bring along the "lazy" people make sure they don't slow you down. If they want to take a break, let them. Go ahead and go onto the fields with the remainder of your group. Overall Recommendations: 1) Bring people willing to play a lot of games 2) Don't spray and pray as ammo is very expensive. Be smart about your ammo usage. 3) Bring sunscreen is you are playing in an open (non-forest area) 4) Bring bug spray (mosquitos and ticks are plentiful during certain seasons) 5) Be Safe 6) Have Fun 7) Shoot your friends as revenge for something they don't remember doing to you 15 years ago! 8) If the teams are uneven, adjust them so they are fairer. Overall: It is a fun experience and the majority of your group will enjoy themselves. It isn't the cheapest thing to do, but the $50-$80 you will likely invest (for a full day) is well worth the price. Private groups are more expensive than the public groups, but playing with your friends (when you first try paintballing) is much more fun and you will likely face people more on your level. read more

One of the most unorganized paintball places I've ever been to. Almost all the staff members were rude teenagers who were too busy chatting with their friends that were there playing. Definitely not worth the 45 minute drive from where I live. read more

We had an absolute blast! I went with a fairly large group. Half of which were experienced and knew what they were doing and the other half of us were rookies and this was our first time paintballing. Our first referee was Jesse. He was awesome and took his time to explain things clearly and with details about how all of the equipment works and what the rules are. Jesse truly enjoyed his job and by the end of the day we felt like he was apart of our group and enjoying a day out with us. We also had another referee who was just as good if I remember correctly his name was Joseph. We went on a nasty rainy day a few weeks ago but everyone of the staff was friendly and seemed real cool. Had a blast and we are hoping to go back again sometime soon. read more

The staff is all fun and friendly; except the manager but understood if he wasn't the place wouldn't be as organized as it was. I reserved a private party for 10+ people we drove in different cars and reached at different times but they still allowed the people who came early to set up so we didn't waste time. The chest protectors and jump suits were in expensive and so were the snacks and they had a pretty decent variety. Our designated referee was "Rambo" he was very fun and down to earth. He coordinated the group extremely well. "Rambo" set the rules on the table and wasn't an ass about it but. I think it is key to have people who enjoy their jobs or at least act like it in front of customers , he was doing one but I couldn't tell. He even was willing to recored and commentated throughout the video. I will definitely be returning to this location plus the Tanger outlet is extremely close so you can do shopping afterwards read more

First time playing this game of paintball. The park has many playing fields and is your option to stay in one all day or move to another one. Being there for the first time we chose to move to different fields just to experience all of them but we only did three of them. Overall it was a great day. The only and one major complaint I have about this place is the rental equipment is the worst, from the group of eleven that we had only one of us had a mask that was fairly new and seal intact so it did not fog up, the rest of the mask had broken seals and scratches on the visor making it hard to see, this took away from the fun. It was very annoying trying to wipe the inside of the mask as you kept hearing the ref yelled, Do not remove mask. The only time for cleaning the masks is after every game. You will see clear for about a minute before it tfogged up again making very difficult to see. I will suggest if you go here, buy yourself a good mask, they are not too expensive and you will know that you are the only one that wore this mask. A suggestion for this place, Update your equipment, I am sure you are charging enough to afford to buy new rental masks. Just my 2 cents. read more
