James Devin Leo All amazing!! So many concourses to play on...$90 a box of ammo! I took a group of 13 for a birthday and I can't say enough good things! James the coordinator was too notch. Can't wait to be back!! Call ahead and reserve your time. They get busy quick!!!

What an intense day today! #paintballer

The first thing the counter person told us as he handed us our weapons, just go out and have fun. High Velocity Paintball is must if you're looking for a corporate bonding afternoon. What's better than getting together with coworkers and shooting Sid from accounting in the face? Seriously, don't think you're playing with a nerf gun. I'm on the field with a few of the worlds finest, The US Navy. Oh yeah, and Marines as well. Here's the thing, you'll see the motivators dressed in camo gear in the field. Expensive paint ball guns. Extra Paint balls on their utility belts, ready to throw down. Real life combat experience? Zero.zero. It's easy to load up and pepper the entire field with paint balls. We did it using less ammo. There are multiple areas for paint war. The last is the WWII field. More on that in a bit. The first field had helos, jeeps and planes to get a great advantage point. They have the air in the gun set to 2. It's powerful enough, if you get hit you'll get a welt. When I got hit in the thigh? Now I'm pissed and it's on. Man, we flanked these guys and laid down the law. The issue is, you only get so many paint balls. Throughout the day, we all watched other teams talk smack. Now we're in a bombed out housing area. Not too much protection. We're taking heavy crossfire, I got shot in the neck. I'm pissed, not because it hurt like hell but because I made a rookie mistake. Finally, the WWII field. Our team using up all the paint ball ammo. This place is like eBay. You dont Want to get pushed around by the folks who brought their own weapons. We Opened our wallets, bought a Sxxx load of paint balls as well as smoke bombs. (You want a war, it's on) Picture a WWII field in France. There are trenches. Now add smoke to the field. We flanked those SOBs! Haha!! Did we win? Yes but the adrenaline rush, having Fun and smelling Napalm (kidding) made this a fun thing to do. As for my body? I may have the mind of a 21 year old but my body is saying Advil and Lots of it. I *highly* recommend High Velocity Paintball. It's a good bonding experience for both corporate events and buddies who still have one left in them.

Best paintball place I've been to so far hands down Timmy and his crew are the best to get out and have a great time. All workers make you feel comfortable and teach you as you go little tricks. If you have enough people private is the way to go Forsure again only if you have a good group. Thank you velocity team for everything this summer hopefully see you next summer. Miami crew all day!!!!!

This was an awesome experience for my son and his friends. Hubby and I decided to reserve a day of paintball fun for my son and some of his classmates. The staff was very helpful with the organization process. Checking in was quick and easy and the guys were very helpful in their explanation and direction. We sat in the car and waited for them to have their fun. We were even able to order pizza for them so they could have a bite to eat during their play time. My son loved the event and I would definitely like to organize something with them again, maybe even for the parents!

Its well worth a trip ...its a fun activity for the teen or the adult that wants to learn a new sport the super friendly guys working there will help you out. My teen is into this ...its not a timed sport more like how much paint you buy its not a cheap sport you need the gun paint and the proper clothing but its so much fun they have all supplies to get you started or just rent for the day I recommend this place and a first place because these guys are so friendly and helpful

Hello paintballers. Look at yourself, now look at me. Now back at yourself, now back to me! Sadly, you aren't me, but if you played at High Velocity Paintball instead of wasting time at other fields you could PLAY against me. Look down, now look up. Where are you? You're on a field WITH THE MAN YOU WISH YOU COULD PLAY LIKE. What's in your hand? Back at me, I have it, it's the flag you thought you captured on the castle. Look again, THE FLAG IS NOW DIAMONDS!! Anything is possible when you play at High Velocity Paintball.. I'm on a horse. The best outdoor paintball fields on Long Island, no question about it. I've heard people complain about the prices but for a day of paintballing it's typically only $10 more than playing at other fields. If you're coming from the NY metro area or out of state other places are fun enough sure, but you get what you pay for. The staff is friendly, helpful, and most importantly they make sure you have a safe and fun day. The fields are all immensely different and offer challenges for even the most experienced paintball enthusiast. Be sure to come check out the haunted attraction September-November for an experience unlike anything else in the country! I come here at least once a week and my only complaint would be the lack of a yearly big game. It's hardly a problem as everyday is epic at HiVi Paintball!

High velocity , WoW! It was off the hook! , it felt like I was at war, paintball flying, and butts getting kicked. The fields are like a battle zones The best one for me was the Wild West and I also loved the castle , even though I got shot while I was reloading. You have to be fast, when playing in the field. The cost isn't that bad, $25 dollars to enter and air all day, now for the paintball that's a whole different story, they cost $82 dollars for 2000 balls, at the shop, but on the field it's $90. So stop at the shop before going over. And if you don't have gear, they will also provide you with it for $30 dollars, just check out their website. Hope to see you out there.

Very disappointing experience. Given that HV is around 30-50% more expensive than most other fields in the area I would have expected a good experience. While the fields are great (full size trucks, planes, etc) the rest leaves much to be desired. The rental equipment is beyond terrible. Specifically, all of the masks are scratched up beyond the point that they are useful. You can't see anything through them. Luckily I had brought my own but the rest of my group had a very difficult time. Rental guns were ok. The number of walk ons was also ridiculous. At one point there were around 100 people per game which was way too many for the small fields. It's not very fun when there are six people behind every spot that has cover. I would save the money and go somewhere else.

Staff is a great bunch, always helpful and polite. Definitely the top paint ball spot on LI in my eyes. Went to a few others and the experience has not been anywhere close to High Velocity. Wi

They received my bottles on the 16th of August, and didn't ship them out until the 30th that's 2 full weeks. Also, the box they send you to ship your tanks was too short for a 77 ci tank. It's really sized for a 68. So I had to remove my reg which is fine but they prefer you leave it on. After they were finished, they tried to bill me again through PayPal but I told them I already paid. Don't know why they wouldn't know that. After I got my tanks back, one of them with the reg was one incredibly tight. So tight I broke my fill nipple and pressure gauge in the process of removing it, I had to use a strap wrench and a vise with soft jaws to finally break loose the reg. Come to find out they use red loctite on the threads. Most, if not all manufacturers do not use thread locker. You have to be able to remove your reg when you travel via airplane. So now I have to fix my tank reg and order new parts for it. Will never consider doing business with this shop again. Horrible experience.

The check in was pretty breezy - walk in, tell the guy your party name, they outfit you with gear, BOOM. Game on. The only thing I'd suggest? More of a cover by the picnic table (because the sun gets SO hot). But overall? A great experience. The "regulars" were in their zone, kids were in theirs. Bottom line? Everyone in the place seems focused on one goal: good "clean" fun. We'll totally be back!

Steve maintains an easy-going atmosphere and set up a whole series of different games for us that kept things very fun and fresh. It was great for beginners but he also told us about various places he's played (including 24 hour long games with thousands of people) that made me think he would do a good job hosting experienced players too. The equipment we rented from him worked well. The area for play is a wooded area with plenty of interesting cover and terrain. He explained and observed safety procedures throughout our session and I always felt safe. We didn't play Lasertag but he's also available for Lasertag parties, which is great for kids and he can do it at your house. One thing to know before you go is that although Steve operates under the auspices of the Overlook Golf and Recreation Center, you don't actually meet him at the place where you play mini golf or drive the go carts. The paintball area is on the other side of the property, and you drive in a different way to get there. It's not hard to find, but just discuss it with him in advance so you know where to go.
