This is the most wonderful store. They carry such fun, unique stuff. I have bought a few sweaters in the past and still love them. My daughter had heard that they carried prom dresses so we decided to check it out. The selection was incredible, so many to choose from. The salesgirl was awesome. She was so helpful with sizing and information about the dresses. We met the owner and no wonder this store is so incredible because the owner is such a wonderful woman. The whole shopping experience here is full of joy & fun. Everyone should check out this store. I highly recommend and I will definitely be going more often. read more

Small towns don't always have a ton of boutiques and places for fashion, but this space features open spaces for individual vendors of clothing, gifts, soaps, homewares, etc. There was even a beauty salon inside. We were just walking around the area and decided to stop in take a look. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive ("Let us know if you need any help"). They even had samples of hot cider. If you're in the area, it's worth popping in to look around. read more

This store is racist. I am a white mother who has a mixed-race child. We go to see our cousin a lot (well, we're used to it; we won't be coming back after this). The ladies inside the store usually greet us nicely, and I should mention that every other time I've come into the store, my daughter's hair has been straight. She is very pale for being mixed, so when her hair is straight, you cannot tell that she is mixed due to her light skin, blue eyes, and straight hair. Not too long ago, we came into the store and my daughter had her hair natural. She has very curly natural hair. When we walked in, it was a completely different feeling in the greeting that we got. We didn't get as warm of a welcome as we normally did when we came here with her hair straight. She walked away from me for a brief second, and one of the ladies that wasn't there when I walked in walked up to me and asked me if I needed help or anything, and I said no thank you. Then she looked straight at my daughter, who was walking up behind me, and visibly rolled her eyes and walked away. We didn't think too much of that, so we just kept shopping. The store was pretty busy that day, and I'm not sure if there was an event going on, but the workers were asking girls after they checked out if they could take a picture of them with their bags. Mind you, they asked pretty much everybody who checked out. When it came to the point that me and my daughter checked out, they did not ask my daughter to take a picture with her bag, which kind of upset her because she was really looking forward to it when she saw all of the other girls getting their boomerangs done. Again, we didn't think too much about this until we came here again a few weeks after this occurrence, and her hair was curly again. This time, right when we walked in, all of the staff looked at us, didn't smile or anything, and just greeted us with a "hello" that sounded like the most Jaggie hello I have ever received in my life. Nobody said anything to us the entire time we were there, but they had no problem asking other customers if they needed anything. After this, we kind of made a decision on what the reason was for why they did not greet us and why they were being so rude. And another thing that goes with this: I follow them on Instagram and I also follow this photographer on Instagram. I realized not too long ago that cousin Kotor re-posted all of the girls when Jen tagged them in the post. The girls are dressed in couture, but there is one female on the team. I will not mention her name because I do not know her, but she is obviously not white, or fully white at least, and whenever Couture has been tagged in a post of her wearing their merchandise, she has not been re-posted, but the other girls have been. Regardless, whoever runs the store obviously only likes white girls, and it's pathetic. read more

I loved this boutique at first, until I ran into a few incidents with them. I ordered a dress from them and they sent me a stained one, so I sent it back to have it cleaned. I asked them to reimburse the shipping cost that I had to pay to send it back to them since I knew if I didn't ask they wouldn't have bothered to offer. Another time, I ordered over the phone and I spelled out my new address for the associate and she somehow still managed to send the shipment to my old apartment. My old apartment never received the package so when I called CC about it, the lady kept going on about how my apartment must have stolen the package and blah blah blah. I finally said, "well it's not my fault you sent it to the wrong address when I spelled out the new one for you". They didn't refund me, they just told me they'd give me store credit. Seriously? This wasn't my fault, they should have had better customer service and at least given me my money back. Recently, I was passing through the Raleigh area and (for some reason) I still decided to visit their store in Fuquay-Varina despite my previous ordering issues. I was disappointed in how run down of a location it's in. I realized this boutique was just not for me, regardless of how cute their stuff is. Swoon is 10 minutes down the road and their location is a lot nicer and has much better customer service. read more

Worst Experience at Cousin Couture Boutique in Fuquay.. Friday the 4th I went into the store to find my sister a dress as it was her Bridal Shower Saturday the 5th and the dress she ordered did not come in. I found 1 White and 1 Green. I ask them is the largest size they have a Large and the lady at the counter agreed. I told her my situation and that I was getting these dresses for my sister and the one that did not look good/fit her I would bring back so I ask her am I able to return one of the dresses that she does not want and the little girl at the desk said yes as long as you have your receipt and it's within 10 days. Fast-forward to today.. I go into the store to return both dresses because neither of them fit my sister along with my receipt to get my money back because that's what I was told on Friday. A different young girl was at the front who was going to help me with my refund.. she told me that she could only do a store credit and I said well that's not what I was told on Friday when I ask would I be able to return these if they did not fit my sister. She stated that her computers would not even allow her to do a refund. She said the owner rang you up and I said no she didn't the girl who rang me up looked to be 16-17ish.. The young girl from today told me the girl from Friday didn't even work there and she probably didn't know the policy.. Young girl from today said but let me call the owner and see if there's something I can do so she called the owner and the owner said there was nothing that she could do that that was their policy. The young girl from the front desk went and found the other girl found who told me that I could return the items with the receipt within 10 days and she stated that she did not tell me that that she told me that she could do in-store credit if I returned the items. At this point I was very frustrated because the girl who checked me out Friday was not telling the truth. I asked to speak to the owner myself that they kept calling on the phone and miraculously she showed up at the store. She came over to me to ask what was going on and I explained to her the situation that I have typed above and she stated that is their policy that there are no returns with money back and I told her that I respect her policy but that's not what I was told Friday when I ask could I return these dresses. So then she proceeds to say our computer does not even do returns. And after she said that she talks louder across the whole store and says "is this your son he's the one who broke our mirror last week.. Is he the one who kicked our mirror and broke it last week?" Looked at my 4 year old and said "Are you the one who broke my mirror last week?" At this point I am furious and because I want a refund now she wants to say my son broke her mirror.. I have never been in that store until last Friday to get my sister two dresses and I was not in there any longer than 30 minutes. Mirrors are only in fitting rooms I didn't try anything on. And she wants to blame my son for breaking a mirror because I want a refund. Thankfully one of the little girls who worked in there told the truth and said that was not him that broke the mirror, they do look alike though. So the owner of the store says we have cameras I can watch to see if you ask if the about the refund policy. I said well let's watch the cameras then because I know what I ask, I'm honest person, and I know that I asked that because of the price of the dresses and the price of these two dresses could pay my one light bill which is why I was so adamant about asking to refund them if they did not fit. So she goes to watch the cameras. At this point I have been in the store almost an hour. She comes back smiling and says "you were right you did ask about the refund policy and she did not tell you that it was only for store credit she told you as long as you had your receipt and it was within 10 days." She said "I will refund your money but I do not typically do this." The owner stated how sweet I was and she's so glad she could help me and that she hopes that this incident does not detour me from shopping at her store again. After what I went through at that store I will never shop there again or advise anyone to shop there because what I had to go through as a customer to get my refund. Am I seriously the first to review this place? It's been around for a while (at least a couple of years, that I'm aware of) and is the only place that I know of in Fuquay to offer trendy clothes (geared more towards teens & young 20 somethings) in a boutique-like atmosphere. It's located inside the Shoppes on Main in downtown Fuquay with a few other cute little locally owned shops. The clothes here are reasonably priced, and like I said geared toward the younger, less curvy girls. They also have a cute selection of accessories and shoes. Employees are always friendly & helpful. Be careful before shopping here! I have shopped here on several occasions and always seem to have a problem with at least one item that I bought. From jewelry breaking to stitching coming out of the shirts. I purchased a shirt here in October and have worn it 3 times, I noticed that there were 2 small tears in the sleeve. I attempted to exchange it today and was denied because "it probably happened while I was wearing it." Well, the manager is right, it probably did, but I wear a shirt every day and they don't rip. I think this store has cute, but overpriced and poor quality clothes and their customer service could use some serious improvement. I love this store! It's one of the few places that I actually love to shop. Great associates, and trendy clothes. I always get plenty of help finding just the right thing. I am NOT a fan of their return policy--- 10 days & store credit---- but it has not stopped me from shopping there almost monthly. Some of the pieces I've purchased haven't lasted as long as I would have liked them too- but usually the items that I buy here are for a night out on the town, so they aren't worn a gazillion times. read more

Really cute store with cute, trendy clothes. It's geared towards younger trends, FYI, so many items are too short to be professional or too small for the older and curvy. My only complaint is the customer service. Staff was very helpful, but crossed the line to pushy. I told them I just wanted to browse, but I couldn't look for a full minute or two without an associate bringing me a dress to see if I liked it or to ask me questions. Ended up saying yes just so she would leave me alone and a dressing room with like 8 dresses she picked out. Also, beware the small boutique refund craziness. Bought a dress and found out it was a little too big after I got home. Called them and they had 1 left in my size, so she pulled it off the rack and was holding it with my name. When we showed up an hour later, the lady said that she had just sold it online. She refused to order another dress in the size I needed and said she wouldn't offer any refund. Very disgusted that the lady stood there and didn't offer anything to make the situation better. So now we are stuck with a dress that doesn't fit, couldn't find anything else we liked and no refund! We paid cash, had the receipt, and tags still on! Will never go back again because of the poor service and staff. I purchased a dress from Cousin Couture and the dye bleed through on the white part of the dress. I hand washed the dress according to the directions on the tag. The dress is now ruined. When I called to ask what they planned on doing about the defected dress they said "how do we know it's not something you did"...ARE YOU KIDDING ME....horrible customer service....i will NEVER buy anything from them. You shouldn't either....she even asked me the exact temperature of the water that I washed it in....last time I checked COLD was COLD! read more

Probably some of the cutest clothes I've ever seen in my life. Yet exceptionally unreasonably priced. I bought a shirt and two impulse buy choker necklaces; kept the shirt and decided to take the chokers back because I noticed I was charged nearly $17 for EACH. Took them back to the store to return them (tags, and receipt, mind you) and was declined my money back in exchange for store credit. Useless. Not satisfied, complete ripoff policy. read more

Today I called because I still has not received my package that had my daughter's Easter present. The website said it would be shipped out in 3-5 days which meant it should have made it to me by Wednesday of this week. I still had not received my package and when I called I was told it shipped out Monday and someone would call me back with a tracking number. About 5 hours went by and no one called me back. I called back and got the owner on the phone. The shoes I had ordered had apparently been bought in store right before I ordered online and had to be reorders from jack Rogers. She offered to over night me a different pair to fill the basket and would allow me to ship back at no cost. A situation that started terrible ended wonderfully. Extremely mad with my recent visit to this Boutique, I was looking for an outfit to a special event and told the associate that I wasn't really sure if the outfit would work for the event. I went home that night with the outfit right before they had closed for the night and literally returned the next morning with the items as soon as they opened the door. The receipt in hand and tags still attached not even 24hrs later after my purchase. I told the associate that the items would not work for the event and asked if I could return them. Instead of telling me their so called return policy she handed me a receipt and told me I had store credit and asked if I wanted to look around again (Not to mention I spent 2 hrs in store the previous night literally trying on almost every piece of clothing they have) I told her no thanks that I had to go to work and that I did not seeing anything the previous day that I would like. Since I was not told about the return policy I called several times to talk to the store owner and got the go around several times until I finally called again and she answered. I told her my situation and she insisted at first that I wait a month and see if there was anything in store I liked. When I told her I wanted my money back so I could find an outfit that would work for the event, she insisted that I give it 2 weeks and come back in store ( I let her know I could not come in store more in likely because of my work schedule) But once again she insisted I return in 2 weeks and continued to repeat the return policy for in store and I continued to tell her I was never aware of the policy. She then told me that online orders can get a refund back same as cash but store purchases can only be an exchange or store credit. She still tried to force me to come in and pick out other items in store, at this point I flat out told her that I had already tried on everything in store and looked online and that there was nothing that I found that I would like as stated before and I also told her that a majority of the items she has in store are not my size or are extremely to short for what I need, she then told me again that if I was to wait 2 weeks that she is sure I would find something I would like and after telling her once again I would just like to get my money back she asked me to call the next day to see if she could refund me my money. Needless to say I will never make another purchase there and I don't recommend anyone to shop there unless you like getting the go around or jipped off. read more

This is one of my daughters absolute favorite stores to shop at. The staff is super friendly and well versed in the current trends. They carry the hard to find size 5 women's shoes and smaller clothing sizes which is a definite plus when you have a super petite high school aged daughter. read more
