The Nook is a really special place. In my opinion, places like Mirasol are extremely overrated…read morecompared to what The Nook offers. The drinks here are outstanding. The Painkiller is fantastic, especially if you add caramel. The Epic Vanilla Skooma is dangerously addictive - the flavor profile is incredible, and honestly nobody else in the area comes close. The Buzz is another excellent choice. The food is just as impressive. Their linguica and cheese rolls are leagues above the competition, and I'd put them alongside the very best around. I highly recommend ordering a regular cheese roll leveled up with egg, bacon, and their house-made hot sauce. If you enjoy a Portuguese style hot sauce, this combination is absolutely worth trying - you will not be disappointed. The peanut butter cookie is unreal; I genuinely wish I had the recipe. The baked goods are consistently excellent, and whenever they have a special, just order it. I've rarely been disappointed by anything they've made. I used to live nearby and honestly miss having this place around. Their pizzas deserve recognition too. They're some of my favorite bar style pizzas in the area. If you prefer an ultra thin pizza, you might lean toward Dipper Cafe, but it's hard to beat The Meatball Thing, the Thanksgiving pizza during the holidays, and many of their other specialty pies. The atmosphere adds even more to the experience. They have arcade style games you can play while you wait, and the music is always great. If you're into King Diamond or heavier music, you'll probably hear something you love. If you live nearby or are just passing through the area, don't skip The Nook. For me - and for everyone I've recommended it to - The Nook easily earns the title of best coffee shop in the area.

-ONE PARAGRAPH REVIEW-…read more The Nook has great coffee. The Nook has great food- not entrés but café stuff: sandwich rolls, focaccias, muffins, etc. The Nook has old school, retro vibes. It has rock music vibes. It has creative, inspirational vibes. It has quiet, read-a-book-in-the-nook vibes but also loud Donkey Kong-guitar riff-crunchin' vibes; depending on the time and the day. It's perhaps a tad too small inside, but that's what makes it a nook. Lots of hot and iced coffee options, food is quality over quantity: get their signature cheese or linguica roll as-is or "leveled up" to make it an egg sandwich because it's the best around. And their focaccias are made like a pizza and imo are better than their actual pizza! Ok that's a paragraph!

Dunkin is more expensive for breakfast! There was a ton of seating, but it was rather busy for a Wednesday morning! Food was out quickly and was hot! Loved that! Our server was super nice, i wish i had asked for her name! It looked like there wasn't a ton of parking, but there is also an additional lot around back and street parking if needed by chance! What a cute spot! I have to come back and try more items---they have some really yummy sounding French toasts!

We made a reservation and seated as soon as we got there. The host is very nice. The menu is great. I liked that they had lattes on the menu and not just regular coffee. Although, we had both. The latte was small, but very good. I ordered the breakfast tacos without me and substituted the mozzarella for cheddar cheese. I got three pretty good sized tacos. That were really good, not a ton of flavor, but they were definitely fresh. We also got an order of the PB&J stuffed French toast, which was absolutely delicious. The peanut butter was warm inside and the French toast was cooked perfectly. We got a blueberry pancake for the table because they have homemade blueberry butter. That was absolutely delicious. No syrup needed! Overall, I really enjoyed the food, and the place was very cute inside. The bathroom was a little rundown and only had one working stall, but other than that it's definitely five stars. We will be back.

I know it sounds minor or picky but for a cafe or diner I would think it would be a must to not to have to ask for refills of coffee and request my check. My only suggestion would be to serve it with a spoon so you can mix the cider into the Prosecco a little more. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Mozambique and it was really good. The flavors were amazing, although I do wish there was a little more sauce. My friend got the chouriço and cheese roll, split and toasted on the grill, and it looked just as good. We also grabbed two coffees to go and tried the pumpkin fluff special. Both coffees were delicious and honestly didn't even need any added sweetener. The restaurant itself is really cute and has a cozy feel. Parking isn't the easiest, so just be prepared for that. The bathrooms were okay, but I'd give them about a 3/5. Our waitress was very attentive in the beginning, and I think she could tell we were there to catch up and weren't in any rush, which I appreciated. There's also some outdoor seating, which looked really cute on the cobblestone street. It was wet and a little too early for us to sit outside, but I could definitely see myself enjoying it another time. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Tia Mariah and will be back to try more of the menu!
