Staff was amazing! Hotel felt spacious. Stay on a Thursday and there were a lot of folks staying there but it still didn't feel crowded. I liked that there were areas to lounge away from main areas if you needed to relax outside of your room. They also have Tesla chargers on site.

Great Location, Helpful front desk staff, Free parking, and Beautiful outdoor Spaces. We booked 2 nights so we could explore Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Lake Powell. It's an older property, but it's well maintained. The bathrooms are older, but functional. If your Marriott status gets you free breakfast, Awesome. It's a hot buffet. For regular guests, it's $24.95 plus tax for a standard mix of eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, waffles, etc.... The pool and outdoor area has lots of areas to hang out.

Bathroom door was warped and wouldn't close.

Satisfied overall, but expected a more from a Marriott. Rooms felt semi-modern: computer/phone plugs conveniently placed and quality TV. Unfortunately, the bathroom is dated and cheaply constructed. For one, the door was warped and wouldn't close. Lots of holes and Spackle repair jobs. If you bring a pet then some of the first floor rooms conveniently open to a plush grassy area. You can park very close to those rooms, but there's little shade. The pool was nice, but also very little shade spots. And all of the lay-down chairs had a painful metal bar down the middle. No breakfast is negative. Front Desk and housekeeping service were very friendly.

We frequently charge our car here while passing through Page. They have a Tesla super charger on the side of their parking lot so we are pretty familiar with the site. We finally booked a night stay here. It was so convenient that we were in the 1st floor and could walk out our back patio to unload our car. It's rustic and does seem dated but it's also cozy and has personality. There's a fire pit in the back and hot tub and heated pool. We bought the breakfast when we booked our room. Most breakfast items cost $15. Being celiac I wasn't able to order anything. They also had coffee in the morning and water sitting out. The ladies working breakfast were very friendly! Would recommend it if you need to charge your car and don't mind things a little dated.

Truck with long trailer from Laundry & Cleaners Equipment Co. in AZ blocked all chargers

Don't even bother staying here if you're traveling with an EV and need to charge at the Tesla Supercharger. Some laundry equipment company working at the hotel parked their truck with a long trailer blocking all of the chargers despite plenty of other places around they could've parked, even close to the building. When this was brought up, hotel staff said she didn't care and got rude. Unacceptable behaviors from both the hotel and this third party company.

Holy shit that's fast for free hotel Wi-Fi!

"Always assume your guest is tired, cold and hungry, and act accordingly."―Navajo Saying My sister booked this place thru her points, so I didn't pay diddly. Here's a quick rundown: -Fast, friendly check-in -Blazingly fast fast Wi-Fi (see pic) -Pool and hot tub -Hard bed -Too Soft pillows -Loud AC -I liked how the vanity was separate from the bathroom; made getting ready very efficient. -Gift Shop/Commissary (avoid this tourist trap) -Water refill station -Lounge -Full-service restaurant, Peppers, located inside; didn't eat here so can't comment. This was a decent hotel but the hard bed and ridiculously soft pillows makes this place a soft pass from me. Luckily we were able to use my sister's points to book this place, otherwise it might've been 2-star review. It gets a tepidly mild thumbs up. 2.55*

Arrived exhausted around 3 at the hotel to find a long line of people waiting and the line wasn't moving. Seems none of the rooms are ready and they can't even check us in. computers are down .. they keep rrunning in the back and doing things on paper. Not a great start. This is native American land and good location close to restaurants, canyon tours, horseshoe bend and glen canyon. We had reservations. The scenery is exceptional. Hotel appears fairly newly renovated. They have guest laundry of first floor. Slept ok because we wwere so tired. Didn't love the bed but not worst. Complimentary breakfast was ok and appreciated. I was glad to see oatmeal and cinnamon rolls. Bacon was better than most. They gave to go breakfast bags which was thoughtful. I snagged a few bananas. In midday they had cookies ... didnt like the chocolate but the macadamia nut and chocolate chip were yummy. Took a few extra to keep in the car. Overall happy with our stay. Would return if in the area. Room included small fridge and microwave. Could use water refill stations. Ac did it's job. Water pressure was ok.

Holiday Inn is a tried and true brand for me and always lives up to expectations. This is a GREAT hotel choice for those visiting the Grand Canyon! Location is super convenient, less than 20 minutes from the Park but more affordable than staying inside the park itself if you want a hotel. The city doesn't have a ton to offer, but there are some food options nearby. PRIOR REVIEW STILL STANDS: I am a loyal fan of Holiday Inn, and am always happy with my experience at Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The rooms are fairly standard and no-fills, but they are always clean, spacious and meet my needs for a hotel room. I also enjoy the small continental breakfasts as they make mornings easier. This particular location was no exception. I am happy with my stay here and would recommend the hotel for anyone visiting the Grand Canyon. It's also really conveniently located, just 10-15 minutes outside of the park, but far enough away to give some flexibility with food and hotel options. Internet was alright, pretty "meh" quality, but it worked. This particular location was honestly super spacious. We ended up in the adults only wing, and our room was huge. We had a separate seating area with a TV, desk and couch that could pull out to become a bed. There was also a small little kitchen nook with a microwave, fridge, sink and coffeemaker. I don't have children so the extra space doesn't really matter much to me, however, if I did this would have been a really nice place to stay. Breakfast: Breakfast was the standard holiday inn express fare. It had pancakes, eggs, pastries, cereals, some fruits, yogurt, and either bacon or sausage. Seating was really limited, but you can always take your food back to your room. Parking: Parking seemed plentiful and was pretty close to the hotel. Parking is free.

We cancelled at least 8 weeks prior to our booked dates...giving them plenty of time to re-sell the room. This totally stinks. We had already lost money on the RV we had rented. What a bummer, I would not book with them again for anything.

Non-likes: - I don't like their business practice with the Wave daily permit system. Have to arrive near their county within a strict time limit to pay for an ethereal, marvelous lottery hiking opportunity that you are unlikely to win, - yet business hours of this Center are so short for a distant traveler driving up from southern AZ. With all the traffic and slow speed limits, one may not arrive at here, let alone the southern UT vicinity, in time. What if I as an out-of-towner far away from their other tourist center (in Page, AZ) have questions and only have a couple days of vacation left before I have to fly back home? What an expensive waste of a plane ticket. - And IF you win, you have to be at this center early next morning, when instead you could be out doing fun things during your already time-restricted vacation. My Angels Landing permit was for the next morning, but I really didn't want to miss the Wave. huge bummer - None of their chargers are for Tesla. Needed an adapter, and took many hours to charge up a Tesla.

The rooms are spotless, and they TV was nice with how you could pull it out from the wall to watch it from bed. The bathrooms were great as well! The room also had a big closet, a microwave, a refrigerator, a couch with an ottoman, and a desk. They did a great job with the layout with the room. The hot tub and pool were warm all night long! I think they keep it hot 24/7. I took a dip in the hot tub at around 9pm and it was nice. I just wish there was an option to turn off or dim the lights that way I could better see the stars above. They had an EV charger for my Tesla that was level two charging (48 amps) and it did its job very well. I think the hotel should indicate the spots as being for EV charging though because multiple non-EV cars were parked there anyways (thankfully the hotel wasn't super busy at the time so it turned out ok) and I'm hoping that was just because they weren't paying attention to it being for EV charging. The free breakfast was good. The cutlery they provide is a bit flimsy, but all the food they provided tasted good. It's not quite at the level of being a "breakfast restaurant" but given that it is free I was throughly satisfied with what they provided. I highly recommend this location! Thinking it was just that area of the parking lot, I moved my car to the other side. Got out again and just saw cockroaches (100's of them) everywhere. Although I was totally grossed out, it was getting late and we already paid for the room. I said the the young man checking us in that the parking lot was covered in cockroaches. He just shrugged and said they knew about it. I asked if they spray or do pest control. I did not want cockroaches getting into my car or luggage, etc and taking them home. The young man just said the bugs don't bother him much and shrugged again. I could not sleep that night wondering if the whole hotel has a massive cockroach issue. They offer a free breakfast, but there is no way I would eat anything from there after seeing the massive infestation. I couldn't walk to the front door without side stepping cockroaches. Gross. I even went to the 7-11 next door to get a can of Raid to spray in the hotel room and in my car. Not worth the money to stay here if you're surrounded by bugs/pests and can't get any sleep. Overpriced for the value.

I originally intended to give Holiday Inn Express in Kanab four stars, but unfortunately, our…read moreexperience regarding my service dog and the staff's apparent lack of understanding of the ADA reduced this review to three stars. The property itself is perfectly decent. It appears renovated, our room was nicely maintained, and overall the physical condition of the hotel was good. My concern is primarily with staff training, customer service, and the distinction between a pet and a service animal. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, a trained service dog is not considered a pet. Hotels generally must permit a service animal to accompany a person with a disability in areas where guests are normally allowed, regardless of a hotel's regular pet policy. When it is not obvious what service the animal provides, staff are generally limited to asking two questions: whether the dog is required because of a disability and what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. A hotel cannot simply treat a service animal as an ordinary pet or restrict it to designated "pet-friendly" rooms. Unfortunately, that distinction seemed to create considerable confusion during our stay. We had reserved a king room in advance, but upon arrival we encountered substantial difficulty regarding my service dog and ultimately ended up in a room with two queen beds rather than the king accommodation we had expected. What should have been a straightforward check-in became unnecessarily stressful because we repeatedly had to explain that a service animal and a pet are not the same thing. I do want to recognize General Manager Tim. Once he became involved and understood what had occurred, he was gracious, professional, and took responsibility for the experience. He ultimately compensated our two-night stay, which I appreciated. That demonstrated accountability from senior management. Unfortunately, another troubling interaction occurred around checkout. A member of the housekeeping staff saw our dog and reacted very strongly, saying words to the effect of, "Oh my God, you have a dog here," and suggesting the area would have to be shut down. The interaction was uncomfortable and unnecessary. She subsequently shared personal information about herself, which I did not understand to be relevant to the situation. My purpose in writing this review isn't to attack individual employees. It's to encourage management to provide comprehensive ADA and service-animal training. Employees working in the hospitality industry need to understand the difference between pets and trained service animals and know how to interact professionally with guests who use them. This protects both the guest and the hotel. The property itself deserves credit for being clean, renovated, and reasonably comfortable, and Tim deserves recognition for taking responsibility and attempting to make things right. However, travelers should also be able to expect knowledgeable and welcoming service, particularly regarding something as fundamental as ADA compliance. With proper staff training and stronger coaching in hospitality, this could easily have been a four-star experience. Unfortunately, based on what we personally encountered, three stars is the most I can give this stay.
