First off the gentleman working the front desk was beyond helpful and accommodating when I had an issue with my payment - gift card. He went above and beyond to take care of me and I really appreciated his help. The hotel was gorgeous - I loved the modern but still funky/ fun style and colors. I liked that there was a separate seating area from the bed and also desks and I appreciated the full size fridge and keurig in the room - although it wasn't used it was appreciated. I know these are generally for long stays and I will definitely have to keep them in mind when I'm staying longer because it would be perfect for that. The kitchenette is perfect for a short term stay and they even have hot plates available and tons of cooking supplies and serve ware and even a dishwasher! For my one night stay it felt very luxurious. They had a pool which looked nice and several fire pits and lounging outside (however they were not on and in the morning I found out they were out of service - there was also a dead bird next to it - eek) The breakfast left something to be desired of but I guess because you have almost a full kitchen the breakfast isn't that important but it was still a nice option! Overall a great stay ! I also loved the bed- so comfy and I appreciated the smart tv features and as a Hilton member powering the tv through my phone ! What a great stay! We worked throughout the process with Denise Grose, and really couldn't have had a better experience. The booking process for our guests was easy, and having the option of getting suites allowed our guests with children and families to still have space and privacy. The indoor pool and breakfast were both terrific, and Denise and her team made sure our immensely over-complicated gift bag process was handled with grace and patience. The facilities were clean and located near plenty of things, and our guests were even able to chill in the lobby and have drinks and snacks post-wedding. We had an amazing, perfect wedding weekend, and Denise and her H2S family were a big part of the reason why. We will forever drive past and smile.

The Hot Water dispenser by the coffees had clearly been used for coffee and not cleaned sufficiently (yuk!) The soap dispenser in the near the meeting rooms was empty. And when it was refilled, they made a total mess and somehow didn't notice/care. The meeting room trash cans were completely overflowing for hours. And they don't recycle!

The walls were not well insulated at all. The gym was mediocre as well. It's in the same area as the laundry facility and was hot as all get out. When you walked back into the hallway, it was easily 10 degrees cooler. It didn't help that dryers from the laundry facility were going at the same time as we were in the gym. This probably contributed to it being so hot but then you need to turn the A/C down to account for that. I would not go out of my way to stay here again.

It was nice that we could see a high school rowing race one morning from our room. Breakfast is served downstairs. They had a pretty good offering of breakfast items. They had the usual items like scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes. One of the mornings they served a smoked chicken for smoked chicken burritos. It was different and good. Along with these breakfast items, they also had coffee and juices. The gym is located on the first floor. They had sanitizing wipes to clean the machines before and after using the machines. A large screen tv was there for watching. Ellipticals and treadmills are available for you to use. It was enough for a good workout. The Homewood was a good hotel for me. Both my wife and I liked it. The window treatments were well chose, worked well, and worked effectively at keeping the room dark in broad daylight. The air conditioner worked well and the room was comfortable. The bed and pillows were also comfortable. The shower was nice and it had soap, shampoo, and conditioner fastened to the wall. We swam in the pool once and had a couple drinks, which were readily available from the lobby's grab-n-go section. The staff were friendly as well. We slept through breakfast everyday, so we didn't get to try that. But so many wonderful food options nearby, that didn't both us one bit. Very nice hotel. Very nice staff.

Breakfast is free every morning (always a win), and two nights a week they put out light snacks in the evening. The lobby is huge and perfect if you want to bring your meal down and hang out. The staff is always friendly, the place is spotless, and the location couldn't be better--restaurants and shops all around, with an Outback Steakhouse literally across the parking lot. Prices do jump around, so play with the dates when booking. Perfect for a staycation or weekend getaway. I'll definitely be back again and again!

The next day we checked out and again I asked can someone check the room before we go just to make sure everything was ok again I was brushed off and we left that Sunday Monday I saw odd charges on my bank statement so I called the person informed me it was a temporary hold Tuesday I call because now it's a posted transaction and they took more then the holding fee again I was told wait more time it will adjust it self NEVER WAS I INFORMED OF ANY FEE. They told me check by Friday Friday comes I call the hotel from 8am no manger til 9 call at 9 no manger 9:30 he still not there 10:30 still not there so I drive there because no one can give me answers no one saying anything now at 11 I get there there's a manger and he's immediately dismissive and has and attitude like I'm not the one who has been calling and reaching out all week .THIS whole NEGATIVE experience could have been AVOIDED HAD SOMEONE CAME TO MY ROOM AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR ME TO LEAVE THE PREMISES AND secondly LYING EACH TIME I CALLED INSTEAD OF TELLING ME I WAS CHARGED FOR A CLEANING FEE THE FIRST TIME I CALLED WITH CONCERNS on Monday!! What am I to do if no one comes to inspect the room the two times I requested it while im there on SITEE ? How can I dispute anything once I'm gone this is dirty business practice to over charge people especially when the complaint can't be verified any other way than PHYSICALLY BEING THERE !!
