The hotel itself was nice and clean but the location is not good if you need any sort of quiet to sleep. I was put on the side facing the highway and after trying to sleep for 2 hours decided to call the front desk to see if they could move me across the hall to the side not facing the highway. Around 11pm I called the front desk and before I could even finish my sentence the rude woman cut me off and said "we booked can't move u" and hung up. I was so insulted by how rude someone could be to a customer. Needless to say I barely got any sleep at all and would never return to this hotel if in the area. So due to my bad experience with the hotel staff as well as the loud trucks screeching by at all hours of the night I have to give this place a 2. read more

This was the best hotel I stayed at on my cross-country trip from venice, ca to asheville, nc. The desk clerks were top notch. Super friendly & helpful. Our room was amazing. Comfortable. Clean. Huge. Quiet & Cozy. This hotel is pet friendly with no additional fees. +++++ After check out (and 3 hours of driving) we realized we left a meditation cushion in our room. The staff had it fedexed to us, no problem. I WANT to stay here again. You get more than what you pay for, imo. read more

After having our team rooms canceled, they took very good care of us. I had the best meal of the trip at the Bistro in the lobby. Good food, nice people a great place to stay. read more

It's a Courtyard, so the vibe is stylish corporate but it is the nicest Courtyard I've ever been to. No breakfast buffet with warmed over food. Starbucks in the very comfy lounge and very nice and spacious rooms. We got a huge one for $89 and had terrific help from the very kind staff. read more

A Little Piece of Paradise on the Highways of Tennessee... We were making the long haul from New Jersey to Texas when we transmission issues and had to stop suddenly on the road. After searching for nearby Marriott Hotels, the Courtyard at Jackson, TN had a cancellation and was able to sneak us in very early in the morning. Our family stumbled into the hotel a little blurry eyed and ready for a soft bed. Everyone was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed to make it through the night. They helped us get settled and find what we needed to make the repairs necessary to our truck. We had to get back on the road but worked in the lobby after checking out to finish up with a client before heading back the truck to make the 7 hour trip back to Texas. The hotel is very well situated, it has comfortable beds, was extremely clean and had fabulously fast internet. They had a well-stocked pantry and even severed Starbucks coffee. You can't argue with that first thing in the morning. We were very grateful for all the kindness and will make sure this hotel is on our map for a stop-off on our way through Tennessee. read more

This was our 5th night staying in hotels, traveling across the country with my family including my elderly mother. She has a service dog with an ID that verifies the dog is a working dog. The gentlemen working at the front desk informed us they were not pet friendly. When given the dogs credentials, he proceeded by asking us to sign an agreement to charge us a non-refundable $100 pet deposit. It is my understanding under title l and title ll of the ADA, hotels and restaurants must allow service animals. Very disappointed! read more

Showed up at my standard Comfort inn and they were booked,,,when I asked where they would recommend they called Courtyard where they had one king left. I drove up the road and booked it. Easy to find and they staff was great. Always a good sign when the competiton recommends a place. Okay, I also looked it up on Yelp too,,,that helped. Great rooms, quite and the staff was great. This was a nice hotel, our room was very spacious and for the most part clean. Due to COVID, the pool and gym area were closed, and breakfast was very limited. Breakfast included some wrapped muffins, granola bars, yogurt. Good stay, nice staff! read more

Quite a trendy hotel. The lobby and bistro area were extremely spacious and made a great location for some extended conversation. The room was more spacious than we thought it would be, and proved itself for our one-night stay in Jackson. We love that city and now we have a new favorite hotel. Highly recommend! read more

I booked online, paid and had a confirmation number. When my family arrived, we were informed they were overbooked. Several others with reservations were also being turned away. They sent us a few miles away to Country Inn with a note. Country Inn had a basic room (not a family suite that we reserved at Courtyard) and informed us- "Courtyard Marriott does this ALL the time". read more

Check in staff was excellent. Being a platinum elite member, i stay in hotels sometimes 5x per week. This hotel could be decent but Marriott needs to do some serious investigating into the housekeeping. Staying in hotels as frequently as i do, i can tell when sheets have not been changed. For starters it's never good when you can see the last guest's suitcase imprint on the comforter. Secondly the sheets had makeup and stains on them. Both beds when pulled back had hair on the sheets. Yuck. I'm contemplating after 4 years of extreme loyalty switching to Hilton because they overall just seem to have better quality control over their housekeeping. read more

Staff are great. Hotel LOOKS nice however appears to have been constructed poorly. I've been in many courtyards and none are as noisy. You hear EVERY foot step of people walking by in the hallway and every thing that happens above you. Feels more like a cheap apartment than a mid level hotel. Avoid if you're bothered by noise. read more

I travel a lot and part of early stay at Marriott hotels. I chose this one this trip because the convenient location and I was only going to be on the road for couple hours for rust. The room is clean and the hotel staff was courteous. You can tell they have recently gone through a remodel in the lobby like a lot of courtyards. I would stay here again without a problem. read more

Cornelius was super at check in and the staff is very helpful. They cannot help the fact that I have seen piñatas of thicker materials than the walls , or that the towels are like sandpaper. However, it's clean and modern. If you are exhausted and HAVE to pull over this is the best option in Jackson. But the town is such a craphole you should motor on if you have the choice. read more

Booked this hotel on the basis that there was no age policy, as their website, nor Policy states that you must be over 18, when we showed up we were told we could not stay and there was no help recieved from them, even though we had already paid for our rooms and had driven 3 hours to stay, we were able to find another hotel nearby with no help from Mariott and are very dissatisfied, as the manager had no care for our case, we do not recommend this hotel to others read more

Where can I start?! Well of course from the time we checked in! As we continued our travel we decided to attempt to stay at as many Marriott sites as we could. I need to say Shasta is a true professional! Every little concern she has addressed without the blink of an eye! We checked in and realized the reason why I'm not receiving my notifications by Marriott via email is bc they have an old email address. But each time I reserve on line I keep providing my new email address! Well I get here and Ms Shasta changes it in the system for me!!! She asked I call the rewards services to see if the changes went through! Of course, I call and they confirmed it has been changed. Well of course it did, bc Shasta did it! That evening when the family bathed we noticed the water wouldn't get hot. So in the morning we tried again thinking just maybe bc there were so many guests it was the reason why there wasn't enough hot water in the shower. That wasn't the case , so Shasta moved us to a new room without a 2nd thought! Another awesome staff member is Marquita (I hope I spelled her name correctly bc she deserves the respect for her assistance). We saw her in the hallway and asked if we could have additional disposable cups for our room since we have children with us. She obliged immediately. Here I thought that is all we needed. The hubby realized we needed additional coffee in our room since we decided to stay in and take a break from our travels. That frustrates me bc I hate to feel like I bother staff. When Marquita realized she only had one in her cart she rushed downstairs to retrieve additional ones for us! It may not seem to others such a big deal what they did but believe me there are so many in the hotel industry who just don't care! One of the biggest reasons why I don't like to keep asking for items nor assistance bc not all hotel staff are so pleasant! It is great to know these two beautiful ladies take pride in their work and it shows with their response to guests concerns and requests because things are taken care of in an instance! You will always be acknowledged with respect by these two:"Yes Ma'am or Yes Sir!" Yeah Yeah Yeah this Marriott offers free Wi-Fi, breakfast , etc. But it has class bc of the staff they have on board! You need additional towels or something wrong with the room- I ASSURE YOU, YOU WILL BE WELL CARED FOR HERE!!!! The place is clean and definitely beautiful. Indoor pool and spa and outside the door of the pool area is an outdoor seating area to take in the night air or to sit around the firepit. Each time we stay at a Marriott the service gets better and it's because of staff such as Shasta and Marquita! Thank you for an awesome stay and it just encourages us to continue to stay at the Marriott!! read more

The rooms were really nice to stay in. The location is horrible but you can ask for a room away from the traffic. The two stars are for the rooms because if they were bad then this review would be 0 stars. I do have to say, the man at the front desk was very nice when we checked in. They have Starbucks inside with their bistro area. They don't have a lot of options but with what they have for Starbucks menu is fine. The two ladies who work at the bistro/Starbucks area suck at their job. I had to repeat my order multiple times and after I paid, they still came back to ask me what size coffee I ordered. Twice they came back. At first I thought the one lady was new and learning so I didn't mind but both of them did similar things. Both morning and night they were really slow in making anything. The Starbucks drinks were not correct. I you want a normal coffee or espresso then it's good. But besides that I wouldn't really bother. Just be prepared to say your order so multiple times. You have to drive a bit if you want some food but other than that your only option is the bistro in the main lobby which is pretty expensive. Overall, the rooms were great but I wouldn't come back again because of the horrible service for food. read more

Great place that is inexpensive. Rooms are clean and spacious! Check in with Cornelius was refreshing and he was a pleasure to work with! Stopped in on way to memphis for one night, did not have a reservation but had expedia pulled up with room rates. He was quick to match the price without any issues. All the staff was super friendly. The lounge has Starbucks (not for free) but there is free coffee in lobby as well. Great stay! Recommend if driving thru. "We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout. Absolutely fantastic stay. Close to everything in Jackson, food is delicious whether it's breakfast or happy our and their drinks are great. There are plenty of comfortable lounging areas inside and outside and plenty of places to watch tv if you don't want to be in the room. Staff us outstanding, friendly and helpful. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. We are picky when it comes to where we stay and this place is top notch meeting all out needs and more. read more

Really enjoyed my stay here. Great live entertainment in the lobby and Mo in the lounge was great. I will be back.

I really dug this Marriott. Service was friendly and totally unlike the central reservations mouth-breathers I had to deal with. The rooms had space (which was great for having 2 larger dogs and keeping their hot breath away) and the bathroom was a palace compared to the place we just moved from. My favorite part is the bistro downstairs. The bacon, egg, and cheese sammich I had was delicious and the staff there were all super cool. I'm pretty sure they all had to be in some sort of Bon Iver tribute with those beards. If I'm ever between Memphis and Nashville, this is going to be my spot. read more

I was relocating across country and decided to stay here as it was a convenient stop along the way. One of the nicest features was that there is no additional charge for dogs - which is extremely rare to find. The room was very well kept and the hotel was in great condition, especially for being pet-friendly. I would highly recommend this to everyone! read more

Nice hotel, staff was friendly. But it sits right off the highway and traffic notice was louder than most.

Good bedroom, but my isues were with the bathroom. It had a very moldy shower curtain, refilled halfway shampoos and conditioners, and a lukewarm shower at best, on the hottest setting. On overnight trips, all I need is a bed and a shower, but I wouldn't recommend this place for a shower. read more

We stopped in Jackson Tennessee to spend a night during a long road trip. The courtyard Marriott looked alright in the lobby. It had a bar and bistro that looked better than I hoped for. They had 7-8 varieties of cold beer and you rarely get that in a road trip hotel. But the bistro was out of 80% of the food menu. The food they did have was not fresh. My wife returned the salad. The lady working the bistro told us they hadn't had a good delivery in over a week so that was probably why it tasted so disappointing. If you are going to stay here then bring your own food or go out to eat. read more

For me a good hotel has to be clean inside and out; have reasonable rooms with comfortable beds; and have a staff that takes care of you when you need sometehing. This particular Courtyard has all of the above plus more. The facility was what you would expect at a Courtyard except for the fact that this property does offer some additional food service that I have not found at many others. The point of difference for me was the staff. This team is all about service. Whether I was passing them in the hall, asking for directions, or inquiring about a local restaurant or shop, I was always greeted with a smile and always given great service. read more

We stayed here on our cross country road trip (Vegas to Virginia) and would rate this one of our best hotel experiences, probably ever. It was mostly due to the fantastic employees. I have never seen such professional staff as we encountered here! Check in & out was a breeze, room was pleasant & comfortable. The room and the common areas were immaculate. My son & husband used the pool, which is open later than many hotel pools, a definite plus for us. It was clean, plenty of towels and not crowded. The chlorine smell was overpowering, some of the levels must have been off. My only (very minor) complaint was that Starbucks was closed by the time we arrived, which wasn't very late. read more

ONE CAVEAT: Don't accept a room on the north side of the building which face I-40!!! The entire room BOUNCES CONSTANTLY with every 18-wheelers that passes by. The rooms are great and I love the furniture - I would love to be able to buy something similar for my own home! The curved settee with ottoman with the laptop table is PERFECT, and it's perfect for watching the tv while working on laptop - and the built ins wall unit with a desk on casters and the tv on a swivel and slider is terrific - but THEY HAVE TO PUT TV CHANNEL LISTINGS IN THE ROOMS (can you believe they don't have that AND the front desk doesnt have one either and the guide button on the remote doesn't work!!!) ! But, the lobby is really relaxing after work-travel. And the Jacuzzi, pool, and exercise room with actual free weights is good enough. read more

Looking for a dog friendly hotel on our way to Texas and this popped up first. I tried to reserve online but couldn't so I called the hotel. The receptionist quoted me $129 but online it was $109 so he quickly, without hesitation changed the rate. We got here and were pleasantly surprised at how nice the place is!! I thought I read that it was close to "everything" but I did not see anything but some other hotels. They have a really good restaurant / bar. Got some edamame and flat breads. The calories are listed too. They serve a fresh made to order breakfast, not free, but who really likes those fake eggs?? Big room, big bathroom & the shampoo is Paul Mitchell!! Oh there is no fridge in the room and when I asked the ladies at the bar about it they offered to put my cooler in their walk in cooler!! I thought that was pretty sweet. Very friendly staff. If we were staying longer than an overnight I would be totally cool with it. And if we ever come to Jackson again we will stay here. read more

While the hotel is decent, and the staff was always good. The actual hotel construction is pretty lousy, you can here every step of someone upstairs. Cleanliness leaves A LOT to be desired! watch your credit card statement with this location. seems that they like to add nights to your stay. if you had a choice of staying here or sleeping in the car i would take the car. stayed there one night got charged for two. spent days and still trying to get credit issued. as a titanium elite marriott member thought maybe they valued my business a little more than this. property is ok, not fine, the staff is another story. starts with the general manager who can not pick up the phone or return an email as she promised. checked in another marriott property the next day 311 miles away and they still dispute whether i stayed or not. the story from the hotel has as many layers as an onion. housekeeping said you were staying over (left before 8:00 am), your reservation was for two nights( confirmation shows one), we have to check the key system and see if you entered the room (day 3 and no answer), all of which is a load of you know what! If i can ever get my credit i will never be a problem and stay at this property again. i have stayed here many times before with different problems. the way the corporate people are responding may not stay at any marriott any more either! a real live american $hit$how still in the works. Like baseball they have had their three strikes and they are OUT! read more

If the staff at check out wasn't so friendly, I'd only give one star. Picked this hotel for two reasons: Laundry facilities and pool. Laundry room was out of order so rather than being able to take my kids to the pool, our extra time was spent at a laundromat up the road. Fridge never got cold, spoiled all of the food we put in it. Carpets stained, no kid friendly options on restaurant menu. And...NO MICROWAVE ON ROOM?!?! are you kidding me?! We basically paid to stare at some pretty pics on the wall. Also, my son is very afraid of dogs. On their little fancy info folder it clearly states that pets aren't allowed...come to find out, after encountering a massive dog in the hall, they are. Manager didn't believe me when I told her that it was on their info that it was a no pet hotel. At checkout I was told I'd get a refund but itd be in the form of a check mailed to me in 3-5 business days. Om not holding my breath waiting for it...skip this place... read more

I am on the second to last night of my stay at the Courtyard in Jackson, TN. I have visited Jackson for work four times now. Each time I have stayed at the Courtyard. In spite of being on the Interstate side of the hotel (Tip: request the other side if possible), without fail this is the best Marriott experience I have ever had. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The bistro has a stellar breakfast. The fire pit on the patio is a great place to unwind at the end of the day. But, it is the staff that makes the place exceptional. J.C., Brandon, Michael, Jessica, Valencia, Latosha and the entire crew (I wish I remembered all of their names) are always accommodating, courteous and friendly. I know this is an areas known for its Southern Hospitality, but these individuals go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. It is a pleasure to stay here. I have enjoyed my stay so much, I have finally decided to break down and join yelp just to tell more people about it. read more
