First 8 times I called and it rang and rang till it automatically hung up!

If you want a quiet, NO BUG place to stay then don't stay here. Oh if you want them to answer the phone too don't stay here. I called 15 times and it just rang and rang till the call cut off. Imagine you have no service and call your family from the room phone to tell them where you are and then your family has an emergency, good luck getting a call on your room phone BECAUSE THEY DONT ANSWER! I called Marriott customer support and they tried to call them as well and no one answered. I tried to get the sister hotel next door to call and no answer. I didn't want to write a review to tell you there are bugs in room 502, but YOU WOULDN'T ANSWER YOUR PHONE!!!

Ok night of rest but restless thoughts when you see the door across the hall bagged up. Asked the front desk and they said they were renovating the room. I called BS. Only 1 room on floor 2 and 3 rooms on floor 4 next to each other. There is no way you would renovate rooms that way. More like fumigation was going on. Sorry courtyard we will never stay in another one again

The location was ideal, as it was close to shopping, and plenty of restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms were comfortable upon entry: not too warm and not too cold. When we needed more towels and toiletries the staff was pleasant and willing to help us. It was just one night, but we would certainly stay again. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because the tub was small, the rug was a little itchy, and there were not a lot of options or access to power outlets. Two queen beds non smoking.

Great experience for a quick, one night stop. Check in was a breeze. Lobby was spacious. Bistro looked fun and the menu sounded tasty, although we didn't order anything. Our room was clean and beds were comfy. Only downside, and I know this is a personal preference, but I really don't like feather pillows and of course that's what hotels feature. This one is no different. Gotta crick in my neck that won't go away. Oh well, everything else was great. Worth the $$ and will stop again next time we pass thru for our annual holiday trip.

Always loved staying here when I worked in the area but was disappointed when I arrived this time because they didn't clean their driveway/parking lot after the snow. Almost fell a few times and watched others struggle. Even sidewalks were not really cleaned off. The handicapped parking areas were not cleaned out either. Very disappointing. I get that it was unexpected but other hotels and businesses had their parking lot cleared Bistro was awesome! Love the food and the gal that worked each evening was so nice and friendly. Good food!!! You don't need to leave for dinner, eat in and relax Housekeeping staff was very friendly and always were smiling and greeted me with a smile. Clean rooms and comfy beds!!!

Beautiful campus, awesome room for the price and Billy was super cheerful and friendly even at 4:30am when we checked in. Will stay here again.

I failed to realize it was a part of the Tribute Portfolio and it did not miss at all! I felt the hotel was very reasonably priced and located nearby many local shops. The property was easy to find and parking was very accessible. The moment I arrived and entered into the lobby the front desk greeted me and made me feel most welcomed! They provided me with all of the details about the hotel and expressed to give them a call if I needed anything at all. I made my way up to the room and the aesthetics leading to the room were absolutely amazing. The room itself was very spacious and charming. It featured a nice cushioned chair with a record player in each room with a variety of records to choose from in the lobby. The room was very clean and also smelled very fresh! The bathroom was very spacious and up to date! Within the hotel property there was a Southern Craft BBQ spot which I also left a review for; it was really good, so you should definitely check it out! The rooftop bar is a for sure vibe. I received a complimentary hummus at the rooftop with my stay; I'm not sure if that was promotional/seasonal or a bonus gift upon checking in. The experience and stay was definitely one for the books and gives other properties a run for its money! I must express again, I am so grateful for the great team and great service!

Bristol, Va. Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed…read moreat, in terms of what is important to me. I'll start off with the big negative that may or may not influence your decision to stay here: The price! During Rhythm & Roots Festival, and Speedway Weekends, the hotel has a large demand for rooms. They can, and do, raise the rate. That said, the convenience to Rhythm & Roots is worth a lot. They also have a place you can park your car nearby and leave it there for the week. The first stage of the event is located one block away. The rest of the stages are easy walks. There are plenty of great dining establishments including the fabulous Blackbird Bakery for breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant but upon check in we ate there and decided not to return. This is explained in the review for that restaurant (Southern Craft BBQ). The room is amazingly quiet. They have this down pat. Perhaps it is the thick brick walls, hard to say how they managed this. I heard music from State Street through the closed window but after midnight, nothing. No cars, trucks, motorcycles, drunks, revelers, nothing. Inside, no sound from adjoining rooms, from the hallway, ever so slight. We turned off the AC and the room consistently stayed cool and even more quiet. There is a continuous fan running in the bathroom but I could barely hear it in the bedroom. I slept soundly in the comfortable bed. The pillows seem too fluffy at first but they do flatten out. There are no sounds of foot traffic from the room above. The shower is hot and reliable. There is no shower curtain or glass door to fuss with, it is well designed with the valve at the opposite end from the shower head. They brought us fresh towels and bottles of water every day. There was no plumbing or shower noise from the adjoining rooms. They do not offer a free breakfast but there is a filtered water machine as well as coffee in the lobby and in the room. The room also has an unusually quiet mini refrigerator. Security is very good, the elevator is quick and responsive, every one is helpful and no attitudes. There is a microwave in the lobby to reheat meals if needed.

The walk in shower didn't leak any water upon entry or exit! Staff were incredibly friendly at both check in and check out. Breakfast staff were attentive and helpful. I dropped 1 star for 2 reasons - 1) breakfast was good but limited options. It was well stocked, clean and staff was so nice so I kind of feel bad for dropping a star for this but it's nice to have a little variety beyond the basic norms. 2) there is one hill that serves as the entry to 3 hotels. They allow tractor and trailer trucks to park along both sides of this entry making it one lane in and out. You will also sit and wait while these large trucks back up several times to fit perfectly on the side of the road. We would stay again despite the 2 things mentioned above!

My daughter's high school softball team was playing in the state semifinals, and we had reserved two nights at this hotel. On the day of check-in, I explained to the front desk that we would only need the second night if the team won their 10:00 AM game the following morning. The front desk associate told me that, if possible, they needed to know by noon whether we would be staying the second night. Unfortunately, the team lost. It was an emotional end to a remarkable season, and the girls understandably spent time after the game crying, consoling each other, saying goodbye, helping with equipment, and figuring out transportation back to the hotel. As a parent, my priority was allowing them the time they needed after such a heartbreaking loss. Had I rushed everyone out immediately after the game, I could have made it back before noon. Instead, I arrived at the hotel around 12:15 PM and was briefly stopped in the parking lot by another parent as we reflected on the season and said our goodbyes. I walked into the front desk at approximately 12:20 PM and explained the situation. The employee I spoke with seemed genuinely understanding. She asked for my room number and said she would speak with her manager while we gathered our belongings. A few minutes later, she informed me that the manager would not allow us to cancel the second night and that we would be charged the full $300 because I was 20 minutes past the requested noon deadline. I was stunned. There was absolutely no flexibility, empathy, or consideration for the circumstances. It is difficult for me to believe that a room became impossible to rebook because I arrived 20 minutes after noon. What was most disappointing was not the charge itself, but the complete lack of compassion. My family participates in travel sports year-round, and we frequently book hotel blocks for teams. Because of this experience, I will not stay at this property again, nor will I choose a Hilton property in the future. Hospitality should involve more than enforcing policies to the minute, it should also include understanding and empathy when people are dealing with real-life situations. This was a heartbreaking day for a group of young athletes, and the hotel's response only made it worse.

When I arrived, I saw signs indicating no truck or RV/trailer parking. I tow a 16-foot camper with my Subaru Outback XT, so I parked temporarily and went inside to ask since I had already booked online. Sherri at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. She explained that while they need all their parking spaces and can't allow camper parking in the main lot, there's an empty lot just one street over that guests sometimes use. It's covered by their cameras, and local law enforcement is aware of it. After a long day on the road, that reassurance was everything. The room was spotless -- truly immaculate. My dogs and I were very comfortable. The room had a microwave and fridge, and the deep bathtub was a huge bonus. I took a long, much-needed bath and finally felt human again. The location is super convenient -- close to Walmart and lots of food options. Olive Garden, Chili's, fast food spots, and I personally went to Golden Corral, which was very close. The lobby was clean and welcoming, especially considering they were just thawing out from a recent freeze. You could tell the staff was working hard all day. What really stood out, though, was the front desk staff. Excellent customer service, yes -- but more than that, they were just kind people. After an arduous drive, this place felt safe, calm, and honestly like home, even if just for one night. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
