I failed to realize it was a part of the Tribute Portfolio and it did not miss at all! I felt the hotel was very reasonably priced and located nearby many local shops. The property was easy to find and parking was very accessible. The moment I arrived and entered into the lobby the front desk greeted me and made me feel most welcomed! They provided me with all of the details about the hotel and expressed to give them a call if I needed anything at all. I made my way up to the room and the aesthetics leading to the room were absolutely amazing. The room itself was very spacious and charming. It featured a nice cushioned chair with a record player in each room with a variety of records to choose from in the lobby. The room was very clean and also smelled very fresh! The bathroom was very spacious and up to date! Within the hotel property there was a Southern Craft BBQ spot which I also left a review for; it was really good, so you should definitely check it out! The rooftop bar is a for sure vibe. I received a complimentary hummus at the rooftop with my stay; I'm not sure if that was promotional/seasonal or a bonus gift upon checking in. The experience and stay was definitely one for the books and gives other properties a run for its money! I must express again, I am so grateful for the great team and great service!

Despite all the excellent reviews on this hotel, my experience was not good. If the Fairfield Inn…read moredid not have some good qualities, I would have given it a one to two star rating. For first time visits to this hotel, I strongly encourage people to closely survey their room and bathroom before settling in for the night. So the hotel seemed stellar at first UNTIL I used the shower in my room. The hotel had great reviews, so I did not think I would have a problem. The front desk check in area and our room were clean & very appealing. I loved the selection of tv shows and movies on our television. We had checked in for a late night stay & just wanted to relax before we traveled out early in the morning. Everything seemed ideal until I took a shower in the morning. I noticed there was human hair from other people in the front and back of my shower area. One was a long light brown hair in the front upper area of the shower stall. One was a short black hair on upper back of the shower wall. I was mortified that housekeeping didn't notice this immediately. It made me wonder if they cleaned the bathroom at all after the former guest before us left. Despite all the wonderful amenities, the unsanitary condition of our bathroom made me dock 2 stars from a 5 star rating. It makes me want to thoroughly survey any room we get at any hotel regardless of the hotel having an excellent rating especially this hotel. Breakfast here was exceptional with many options EXCEPT they started shutting down earlier than the 10 AM closing time & there was NO COFFEE available at 9:30 AM. My husband had to wait for them to make a fresh batch. Despite the great breakfast, I got sick from something I ate on the breakfast provided there which is very rare. I never get sick from food I eat. I wanted to give a one star rating to this hotel yet I decided to be kind yet fair.

I vowed not to return until things blew over. Which brought us back to last night. The hotel is modern and comfortable. With our room on the first floor, we had easy access to a grassy -- and clean! -- dog walking area. I slept really well, the shower had good pressure, and the hotel's location suits us to a tee. Three minutes to Puerto Nuevo (a super good Mexican restaurant) and two-and-a-half minutes (!) onto the highway with a gas station en route.

My daughter's high school softball team was playing in the state semifinals, and we had reserved two nights at this hotel. On the day of check-in, I explained to the front desk that we would only need the second night if the team won their 10:00 AM game the following morning. The front desk associate told me that, if possible, they needed to know by noon whether we would be staying the second night. Unfortunately, the team lost. It was an emotional end to a remarkable season, and the girls understandably spent time after the game crying, consoling each other, saying goodbye, helping with equipment, and figuring out transportation back to the hotel. As a parent, my priority was allowing them the time they needed after such a heartbreaking loss. Had I rushed everyone out immediately after the game, I could have made it back before noon. Instead, I arrived at the hotel around 12:15 PM and was briefly stopped in the parking lot by another parent as we reflected on the season and said our goodbyes. I walked into the front desk at approximately 12:20 PM and explained the situation. The employee I spoke with seemed genuinely understanding. She asked for my room number and said she would speak with her manager while we gathered our belongings. A few minutes later, she informed me that the manager would not allow us to cancel the second night and that we would be charged the full $300 because I was 20 minutes past the requested noon deadline. I was stunned. There was absolutely no flexibility, empathy, or consideration for the circumstances. It is difficult for me to believe that a room became impossible to rebook because I arrived 20 minutes after noon. What was most disappointing was not the charge itself, but the complete lack of compassion. My family participates in travel sports year-round, and we frequently book hotel blocks for teams. Because of this experience, I will not stay at this property again, nor will I choose a Hilton property in the future. Hospitality should involve more than enforcing policies to the minute, it should also include understanding and empathy when people are dealing with real-life situations. This was a heartbreaking day for a group of young athletes, and the hotel's response only made it worse.

After driving nearly 500 miles, we decided to stop in Bristol for the night. I hadn't made…read morereservations - we wanted to see how far we got. It was almost 8 pm when I started looking for hotels. Everything was booked or was Motel 6 quality. We don't usually stay in Hampton Inns anymore - the chain in general has really gone downhill. Last night we really had little choice. We were greeted immediately at the front desk and had our keys a few minutes later. Upon entering our room, like is my habit, I checked the bath room to make sure it was clean. It was spotless. The room, however, had a few issues. The carpet just seemed a little "icky" - no real reason but I wasn't comfortable walking barefoot. Issue two. Our television didn't work. Finally, there was a lot of road noise. It was mostly drowned out by the rattle of the air conditioner. You might want to consider ear plugs. Breakfast is 6-10, everyday. I went down at 5:30 just to have my coffee. Breakfast was already out, the eggs and sausage steaming, the waffle maker hot and ready to go. The hotel was full yet the breakfast bar was kept full. Our room was by the elevator - avoid this room. The noise from the hall was quite distracting. When we finally settled in, it was too late to go swimming but the pool area did look nice. There are extremely overpriced snacks available for purchase in the lobby. If you have kids, keep an eye on them - a few of the $4 mini bags of Cheetos and some $3 snickers bars might just put you over your food budget for the day. There are lots of choices in Bristol. Hampton Inn may not be your best choice but it works if all you need is a place to crash while driving through.

A good place to stay right off the interstate exit near Bristol…read more Hampton Inn kicked off in late 1983 when some Holiday Inn folks in Memphis, Tennessee, thought, "Hey, people want nicer rooms and free breakfast without paying luxury prices". They opened the very first one on Sycamore View Road in March 1984. They were one of the first, if not THE first America national mid-priced hotel chain. The brand grew in popularity and ended up getting bought out by Hilton in '99. Now there are nearly 3,000 of them worldwide. This one was like the other ones I have stayed at, for look, convenience, access, price, quality. It was convenient being right off the interstate and very close to several nearby restaurants. Check-in was easy and the staff was pleasant. The lobby and room were clean. The room was a single bed with 2 bedside tables and a comfortable mattress. There was a small lounge area with a sitting chair by the window. The bathroom was brighter colors, with good pressure and a glass shower. They have a small but nice breakfast area and offer takeout bags for their guests to pickup and go. Overall, this is a good choice to stay in the Bristol area.

When I arrived, I saw signs indicating no truck or RV/trailer parking. I tow a 16-foot camper with my Subaru Outback XT, so I parked temporarily and went inside to ask since I had already booked online. Sherri at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. She explained that while they need all their parking spaces and can't allow camper parking in the main lot, there's an empty lot just one street over that guests sometimes use. It's covered by their cameras, and local law enforcement is aware of it. After a long day on the road, that reassurance was everything. The room was spotless -- truly immaculate. My dogs and I were very comfortable. The room had a microwave and fridge, and the deep bathtub was a huge bonus. I took a long, much-needed bath and finally felt human again. The location is super convenient -- close to Walmart and lots of food options. Olive Garden, Chili's, fast food spots, and I personally went to Golden Corral, which was very close. The lobby was clean and welcoming, especially considering they were just thawing out from a recent freeze. You could tell the staff was working hard all day. What really stood out, though, was the front desk staff. Excellent customer service, yes -- but more than that, they were just kind people. After an arduous drive, this place felt safe, calm, and honestly like home, even if just for one night. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We had read mixed reviews of the hotel and had chosen not to stay here, but we came to tour it. We were allowed to wander the public areas, but the front desk refused to allow us to look into any vacant rooms, not even one. Which is unusual considering the reviews and their pricing and do I want to stay for 3 nights at $350 ish per night when I'm concerned about the mixed reviews without being able to see what I'm renting. Nevertheless, walking the halls, the rooms being service had their doors open and we could glance in as we passed by. The inn is grand, for sure. The library and fireplaces are very welcoming in atmosphere, decor and interesting artifacts and such. However, it is unlikely that we would choose to stay here for more than one night, the rooms were not "wowing", especially as compared to the grandeur of some of the public rooms. So we will give it a try, but for this trip, our VRBO is more than satisfactory.
