The highest rated electrician on the East side of LA? I got curious because it read like they might be a consolidator, meaning they farm out work and take a commission, which makes their ratings pointless. Lo and behold I looked it up - and they're operating on a suspended contractor's license. Which is obviously very bad. So I pinged a handful of others closest to me. The fairest price for a visit/diagnosis was Preferred Electric. But wait, so few ratings, how can I trust them? Looked up their license. In good standing, current and active for 35 years? So why not, I rolled the dice. George was not only on time but early. Friendly. Nice. And most important, diagnosed the issue on the spot, had the parts in his truck, and charged a genuinely fair price. Summary: The highest-rated electrician on Yelp is a scammer. And seriously professional guys like George, who only got around to Yelp recently (and so have few reviews) look like amateurs. When the reverse is definitely true in this case. If you've read this far? Hire Preferred with confidence. George will do you right.

Never heard from them. But Rafi was very responsive and quoted me a reasonable price to install some brakers and a 240 volt outlet (to charge my bf's Audi e-tron). I also saw he had good Google reviews, too, which Sam had sent me the link too. I didn't think of looking at his Yelp reviews but they are good as well. We scheduled the day he would come out and it took less than 2 hours. He was easy to talk to and gave me some good electrical advice. Would definitely recommend!

For me the most important quality is the fact that he is honest. He doesn't perform work that does not need to be done. I get the sense more and more these days that services are being performed by mechanics and sadly even my doctors that really are not required. I never have this fear with Rafi. The second quality which is important but for me not nearly as important as the first is the fact that Rafi's prices are reasonable. Most recently, our garage refrigerator died when we were out of town and we returned to a disaster. We wanted to get a new refrigerator as soon as possible but it was clear that the way the refrigerator plug was jerry-rigged that it really needed professional attention. My wife called Rafi, explained the situation, and he came out that afternoon to install a new socket box. We had two other issues for him to address at a later date with respect to two of our ceiling fans. With respect to one of the ceiling fans which is making lots of noise Rafi simply showed us how it could be adjusted so that the fan would not make noise. With respect to the second fan which was wobbling he explained that to repair it would not be cost-effective but he could do a minor fix which he did so that at a lower speed the fan would not wobble that much. If we could live with that we would be fine. I think there are some electricians who would've replaced both fans. Not Rafi. I cannot say enough good things about him and the services he has provided for us over the years. I know this sounds like a paid commercial announcement but Rafi does not even know I am doing this review. And after all the years I have been on yelp I have only done two previous reviews. One for an upholsterer and one for a shredder, both of whom did excellent work. So, my praise is not easy to come by.
