If crowded I'm sure the wait times are more for basketballs, and other kids games . Not many employees to help with 4D shows , helicopter rides etc. we had to go and call them from the front desk .. Overall the place was fun for kids . Luckily it's not insanely expensive . For 20$ it is worth it and with rope adventure it was about 30$. It took an hour for us to finish.. nicely located in a mall. Lots of food options .. parking is good .

Half of the attractions were down / out of service. Minimal staff to help out. My kids had more fun exploring the mall than visiting this place. We did the rope thing they have and at one point both my kids (9, 7) were on the same obstacle. The young lady working it yelled at my kids "only one at time" in such a rude manner it made my daughter cry and want to leave ASAP. No one told us that was a rule, would have appreciated knowing that before they yelled at my kids. Generally disorganized, a lot of things not working. Not worth the money and time spent. Would not recommend. My brother who lives in upstate and recommended it apologized for it being such a bad experience. On a plus they did have Astro Pops for sale which I loved as a kid and purchased for my children which they loved.

We enjoyed exploring the variety of rides, though because our visit was at the end of the season, not all rides were available. Regardless, we had a great time. The Viper and the Predator were favorites from our visit. Lines were barely forming when we first arrived and kept moving nicely throughout the day. The kids area is very cute with a nice variety of rides. The staff we interacted with were all pleasant and helpful. The park has a good-sized parking lot with some EV charging stations available.

Darien Lake Review…read more Overall, our experience at Darien Lake today was okay. We went with my three children (14, 10, and 10) and my niece, who just turned 7. The lines weren't too long, which was definitely a positive. That being said, some of the rides felt pretty outdated, and the biggest issue for us was the inconsistency with ride staff when it came to height requirements. I completely understand that safety has to come first, and I appreciate employees being diligent about making sure children are safe. But consistency matters, especially when you're dealing with a 7-year-old daredevil who is determined to ride the big rides. My niece was allowed to ride the Sleighride three times, then came back later and was suddenly told she was too short. She was also cleared to ride the Silver Bullet but was told she was too short for the Lasso. For a little kid who is excited and proud that she can ride the bigger attractions, being told "no" after previously being allowed on similar rides is incredibly disappointing. If there are specific height requirements, they should be applied consistently by every ride operator, every time. It would make the experience much better for families and prevent a lot of unnecessary disappointment for kids. Darien Lake, we appreciate the focus on safety -- but consistency matters. Please do better.
