They invested a lot of time with the kids, were patient, gave them great learning tasks and were very positive. Both kids loved them. Joe is an excellent instructor. Flexible: When I found out that I didn't have quite the same certification as I thought, they accommodated us with a very tight schedule graciously so I could get everything in and dive with the rest of the family on the trip. Expertise: As others have reviewed, the merchandise may be more expensive than online, but if you spend an hour with someone knowledgeable getting the right gear, should that expertise be free and the items sold at cost? If you want cheap and to figure it out yourself, go to Amazon. The out out course is in need of a lot of work. The owner is working on the orange course which has been closed for a long time. The course we played had wooden steps that are rotted and uneven, very unsafe. The green outdoor fake grass is coming up all over and makes tripping hazards. There are only a few holes with some real character the rest are just putting into blocks or uneven surfaces. It's a short course good for younger children. Even the 8 year old was not sure about how safe the steps were. I am giving it a maybe because the gentleman was very nice and I am hoping the improvements will be worth the $20 cost for a child and adult together. There is also drywall prices, and machinery of some sort against the building. The bakls do not look like they have ever been washed, nor do the putters. Bring sanitizer. One fun part is they do give out stars for hole in ones and it gets out up on the building.

But, we already paid, and so did the people who are wearing those skates. 2) skate for awhile in the wrong size skates, PAIN 3) Zamboni: Nope, no zamboni, so it's like you're skating on loose legos. 4) Go back to check as suggested, they still don't have the right size. No surprise, who returns skates before time is up? No one of course. More painful skating. 5) Return skates, but the family will not be returning to RIT. Plenty of other rinks locally.

You bring your own clubs (and golf balls), and the employees help you get set up with the simulator. It is a great way to practice, or try golfing for the first time. There are four simulators, and you need to make a reservation to play. It's about $45 to rent the simulator for an hour on the weekends, and you can split it between four people. The group of ladies I went with rented it for two hours of play, and it was just the right amount of time. Avid has a bar and grill as well, and high top tables behind the simulators to munch while you play. We ordered the loaded tater tots and a round of beers. I am glad I got to check this place out, and try something new. Avid is a great place to beat the winter blues if you want to get some swings in.

We were the largest group there, with only a few other patrons on 2 other lanes. There are 8 lanes total. The look and feel is very old school, with all shades of pink paint adorning the walls, old newspaper cutouts, old shoes, and all used/donated bowling balls. We even kept our own scores on paper they provided (but later used a bowling calculator on our phone ). The guys split a few pitchers of beer throughout the evening, the bar seemed to be fully stocked and the barkeep was a nice gentleman. It was a very low key evening and we all had a good time. I'd return again.

This place is hidden upstairs in a building that looks like a medical office. It does not boast itself from the road, and you have to read signs once inside to figure out where to go. It is not handicap accessible from what I saw. Our game master was great, and very upfront about them being understaffed and running two games at once. The room was well put together with tough puzzles to solve. You need a lot of out of the box style thinking here. When they needed to help another room and were gone for a while, while we were looking for a helpful clue from them, they added the time they were gone to our room to make up for it. In the end we were successful and solved the White Lady's Castle room here.
