So let's cut straight into the meat and potatoes guys. This was my first escape room. My girlfriend had done one before. We had an AMAZING TIME. When booking we decided to choose Billy's Nightmare (their hardest non-competitive room). We had no idea that the difficulty level was going to be that high. We actually cleared it (with clues) with a time of 59 minutes exactly. It was fun, challenging, immersive, and the dimmed lighting paired with the thunderstorms and occasional cries for help from Billy created this eerie atmosphere that definitely enhanced the experience. We knew that we only had an hour, but we explored and searched and never felt pressured or rushed. We even found puzzles that weren't essential to the escape, but were added to steal time and throw you off course. I loved that! It ads an element of prioritization to the game. At around the 15-minute mark our game master came in and helped us get back on the right track. I wasn't expecting that, but he told us that the biggest and most important thing is that he wanted us to see it through to the end. We loved that. That is consideration and customer service at its finest. I will gladly return to OMEGA, very soon. Thank you guys!

This place is kind of hard to find, and kinda creepy in the dark. Especially since I turned in too soon, so I went down the alley behind the buildings. If you turn at the sign for Building 3 and go to the right, you should easily find it. It faces University. I wasn't sure if parking was an issue, but at 8pm, there was plenty! There were 8 of us, which I think was a good number. If there were 10, I think some people wouldn't have had enough to do. 6 or 8 is probably perfect. I felt like this room was easier to start. In the other room I did, none of us knew what to do first. Without giving anything away, you could see what you needed to do, which was helpful. This room was a lot bigger than the other one I did, and was sort of split down the middle. Because of this, the other side of the room solved a lot of stuff that I didn't even hear about. In the smaller room, I felt like I missed out less because we were all closer together. You have the employee in the room with you here, and at the other one, they are watching you and can give clues from somewhere outside the room. They are still watching you, but it feels less awkward since you can't see them. Our guide was fun though, so him being in the room wasn't a bad thing either. If you're going for the first time. I suggest you go with at least 1 or 2 people that have done an escape room before. Once you've done one, you have a better understanding of what you need to do. You really don't need to be smart to do one of these rooms. Actually, if you try to be smart about something, you're probably overthinking it. It's more like seeing something that is right in front of your face in a different way, if that makes any sense. I don't want to give anything away, but you get 3 hints, and I think we used all 3. But the last clue we used it on, I don't know how anyone in the world would have come up with that on their own. That happened in the other escape room I did, too. Sometimes there is a link that I just don't understand, and I don't see how any reasonable person would get to it, but you get a hint, so you really don't need to worry about it. :) There were things I liked about both escape room locations. This one was $5 more, so there's that. But they also had a cooler location and more props for your final photo though, which I liked. We escaped, and had like 4 minutes to spare. From their website, it seemed liked very few people escape. so I was afraid we wouldn't get out and not even be close. I was glad we at least got to a point where we knew we were on the final clue, and I really liked the ending of this game. I hope that didn't give anything away, and I hope it made some sense, too. I have to try to speak in code to not spoil the game! :) There are decently clean restrooms here, too, and a place inside the room to put your purse and stuff. I couldn't find that on their website ahead of time, or in other reviews. If it was winter, I'd just wear a hoodie and put your keys and your phone in your pocket if you don't want to leave your purse unattended. You can't use your phone, but it can stay in your pocket. I liked it here and I'd definitely go back. I'd just look over the available rooms and see what one seems the most interesting. Go try it out. You'll probably have fun!

Our guice Sierra did an excellent job and we managed to escape the room in 50 minutes or so. There were 7 of us, which, as other reviewers have mentioned, is probably the correct number. Please note they do not do refunds here but can hold tickets for you to use in the future - as was the case for us since we had two folks unable to attend. They have a fun game room for after your escape and have the classic "take a photo" setup that you'll find at other escape rooms around town. I find $35 to be pretty high for the experience overall but it is a nice way to change things up. I would recommend a stop by if you're looking for a great Escape experience!

There were many riddles in order to progress and all are solvable if you read and think about the clues you find. We finished the Sunken Treasure room with two minutes to spare. It was close and we had to ask for two clues and were also given some hints along the way when we were in the weeds. That definitely made it more enjoyable and kept us moving. We were a group of six, which was the most I'd recommend. We all contributed, which was nice, and it kept us all engaged. As far as age, we ranged from 24 to 62. However, our room seemed appropriate for someone as young as 10 as long as adults are with them. I'm not sure if the business has any age policy. Advice: keep your eyes open and look at everything! We will definitely be back for the other rooms. The Haunted B&B will be our next challenge!

We were unable to get to our Escape room and no one responded to us, however they managed to take out the money from our bank account. Horrible customer service and would not recommend going to this one.

I had the great pleasure of visiting Nick of Time Escapes this week! I took a group of students on…read morea field trip out here, and I can't speak highly enough about the experience. Where to begin? First, let's talk about Celeste at Swain! What a fantastic person friendly and helpful on the phone when we discussed the plans. Lovely in person, and very helpful through the experience. Hannah, one of the hosts of the escape room was kind too, and I must admit patient with my group of teenage boys. Thank you again for that! The rooms themselves are well done and the stories are interesting. I personally recommend the Hairy Women of Klipnocky - the rooms are not only entertaining puzzles, but really, they are work of art and engineering. I love how they have built the rooms so well! Of all the escape rooms I've done, this was by far the most high-tech and engaging one I've experienced. I think that having an escape room at a ski resort is a perfect idea. You can have people come prior to ski season (like we did), but I imagine that this is a great option for other things to do at the center when you need a break from the slopes, or you have a non-skier in the mix. The drive from Rochester is a little long to make it an easy destination, but I think it is a great destination none-the-less. Overall, my students had a good time, I probably had a better time, but all in all I appreciated the opportunity to do some team-building and get our brains working! Thanks again to Celeste and Hannah who made our experience a great one! Yelpers, I highly recommend this place, so make sure you check it out when you're able!

Had a great time. Did it for a friend's 53rd birthday. Staff was super friendly. Highly recommend.read more
