From a real old car, to a princess castle to a wizard's den, to a real single person airplane that used to fly in the sky this tree house has something for everyone. The people that imagined and made this thing are incredible. They are happy to share their story, their plans, and their backyard with everyone. It is definitely worth it to spend some time checking out their tree house and hearing their story. I can't believe I'm the first to review this place!…read more We have been excited to check out the new Motion Junction playground since before it was finished and open to the public. We heard that it was supposed to be fully inclusive, the first of its kind. So when we saw the sign for the grand opening ceremony, we knew we were going! The ceremony was really beautiful, and a lot more people attended than I expected. They told us the story of how the idea of this playground came to be, recognized everybody that helped and donated, and informed us that it would be finished in "phases". So it is not yet complete, even though the playground is ready be loved and enjoyed by all! I honestly can not tell you how much I love this playground. The ground is padded with soft, squishy material. (It won't hurt if you fall!) There are sidewalks and ramps everywhere. For kids there are monkey bars, balance platforms, bridges, slides, musical instruments, fully accessible swings, zip lines, and more! There is a giant smiley face "meet up" spot. There are buddy benches for kids that want to find a friend. There is a communication station for the nonverbal. Umbrellas and benches are strewn throughout, and heartwarming inclusive signs made by kids, for kids are hung around the outer fence. In the future they plan to put a building down with a proper entrance that has bathrooms and a concession stand. A friend of mine that uses a wheelchair was excited that she could finally swing with her daughter. This place is magic, guys. And it's not even finished. Super highly recommend a visit!

I had yet…read moreagain not done any research prior to arriving, so just started driving around the park, looking for a good spot to start our exploring. I parked where it said "daffodil meadow" since that sounded pretty sweet, and we ventured on into the woods. I had no idea it would be such a lovely hike alongside the Irondequoit Creek. We headed the wrong way on the red trail (I think?) and ended up intersecting with a few different trails along the way. The mud was minimal and there were very few other people on the trail the Friday I was there. With a few folks fishing along our hike, Freddy got some great people watching and chipmunk chasing in. I know now that there's a very popular fish hatchery. I didn't know what the situation would be with that during all things COVID, so we kept it simple and made a swift exit right after our sweaty hike. THis park is lush and gorgeous and provides a TON of magnificent views. Happy hiking!

Staff sprays off everyone's feet so they don't bring in beach debris. The swimming beach is so shallow. My boys walked for the longest time and even when they started to swim, they could still stand if they wanted. Warm, too. Not the softest sand, but the way out into the lake isn't too bad. The way back, it feels a little more prickly. Guess the rocks face away from the beach. Plenty of parking, seating and shade.

Tip: There's a path here which (upon closer examination) is actually an old street that's in a pretty far-gone state of disrepair. It's so far gone that it's actually too rough to ride a bike on :-( I suggest you learn from our mistake - if you're actually intended to go for a bike ride, you should seek out another destination.
