We came here for winter snowshoeing ($5/person for rentals, max $15/family, paid by cash or check). It's from 1-3 on Saturdays as long as there's at least 6-8" of snow on the ground (check their Facebook for updates).
There was ample parking, the person who helped us was nice and welcoming, and it's not very expensive. They have bins of snowshoes to choose from, sorted by weight/shoe size and the person is helpful in finding the right one for you. There are benches outside to put on/take off the snowshoes and there's a bit of a learning curve in figuring out how to do that, but it's part of the adventure.
Unfortunately one of the straps on one of mine was broken, but it was still wearable and we got there at about 2:15 so I didn't want to take them both off to go inside and get a different pair.
They give you a trail map, but I don't think the trails are very well-marked so the map is not super useful. Because you're surrounded by (well-signed) personal property on all sides, it doesn't feel like there is a lot of space. 45 minutes was really enough time for us (an adult couple). I don't know if we would come back here, but I think it was a good introduction to snowshoeing and we would check out another place next time.
Definitely seems like a good family activity and they even have hot chocolate in the nature center! read more
