A wonderful zoo with amazing animals, friendly staff, and super clean grounds. The paths are easy for kids and wheelchairs, with lots of spots to stop and enjoy. We had such a fun day and would absolutely visit again!

The zoo is awesome! We love coming here. You can feed the giraffes and animals come up very close. And its not too much walking and you can take the tram back to the front t if you want. Recommend the zoo for everyone.

We love this zoo! It's perfect to bring our toddlers to. A perfect size/ length for a walk. The food stands are great, when they're open more in the summer. Plenty of benches and places to sit and eat. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. We love going to Zoo Brew as well. We recently signed our toddlers up for a kinder zoo class and they LOVED it!!! The zoo employee who lead the class was sweet and informative, and kept the kids engaged. We are so lucky to live so close to such a well maintained zoo!

My 2.5 year old loves it here. We have a membership and visit close to twice a month. Not a ton of animals, but the ones they do have are usually out. One of the sea lions, Marylou, loves playing with people and if you throw your keys up and down near the window inside, she'll chase them and blow bubbles at you when you stop. Super cool for adults and kids alike! One time entrance costs are very affordable too!

I've heard that the Seneca Park Zoo is pretty cool, and wanted to check it out. It is clean. I didn't realize how small it would be though. When we got to the end of the zoo, I commented to my friend, is this it? Where is the rest of the zoo? My friend and I arrived right when the zoo opened on a Saturday in June. I'm so glad we arrived when it opened because when we left an hour or so later the parking was already in the overflow lot. We hit it just right. Because of COVID, there was timed ticket entry. So we were allowed to enter between 10 and 11 am. When the zoo opens, a lot of the animals are still sleeping. As we were touring the exhibits, we hardly saw any animals. At around 11am, the animals started to come out and become a bit active. They had great photo op stations. Some thoughts while at the zoo: The lawn was so high in the lion enclosure, that it was tough spotting anything. Mow your lawn! The animal enclosures are a lot better than my local zoo I'm accustomed to. The rhino was definitely my favorite animal. The rhino was running around and adorable. I also liked the sea lion exhibit. Would I recommend driving here from Buffalo? Probably not. But if you're in the area, and have kids, check it out.

General price admission was reasonable. For myself, husband, and two kids it was 15 bucks. They had veterans discount which we were able to receive. the food and the food court was pretty good. Bathrooms were extremely clean. The exhibits were pretty entertaining. We got to see the animals gift shop was typical prices, had lots of options. There were food and drink stands all over the place lots of benches to rest as well. Great place to take your kids highly recommend.

"Small but Mighty" is the word that came to mind when we visited Seneca Park Zoo for the very first time. Seneca Park houses a diverse group of very special animals from all around the globe. It is home to a pride of Lions, a baby giraffe, a pack of grey wolves, a trio of elephants, a white Rhino, a Siberian tiger, a colony of African Penguins, and an International variety of primates, reptiles, insects, and birds of prey. The Seneca Park Zoo provides a safe environment, for both humans and animals, for people of all ages to learn about and connect with the natural world. It truly is a beautiful place filled with interesting wildlife run by a professional and dedicated staff.

The Rochester zoo is great! They're going through a good amount of renovations and changes over the past few years. Right now there's a baby giraffe to see! And the lions have a toy pickle!? This zoo feels smaller than some but they do the best with the space they have. You always notice something new each time you visit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwReqdUw82Q Recently it was announced that "Bill" the Rhino will be leaving us. Bill is being moved to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden in South Carolina. It's part of a species survival program. There are 2 female Rhino's there. Bill was to many of us a headliner at the Zoo. He had a great fan club. I spent many hours and days watching and filming him I will miss him as many will. Good luck to Bill.

I've been visiting the zoo since I was a kid, like pretty much everyone in Rochester I'd assume, and all of the changes they've made over time are really amazing. The newest African additions are incredible. I visited recently to see the new area for the first time and the expansion is absolutely beautiful. I loved seeing the new animals, like the giraffes and zebras, and old favorites like Bill the rhino having so much room to roam. Be sure not to miss the rock hyrax or naked mole rats, either! I'm also a huge fan of the Cold Asia section, since the red pandas and snow leopards are two of my all-time favorite animals. Their habitats are lush and well-maintained, as is pretty much everything at this zoo. I encourage everyone to visit the zoo if you haven't been in a while, because the changes really are fantastic. I also appreciate all of the interactive events and daily feedings/experiences they have available with the different animals. This is a great zoo for conservation and education, plus it's a great way to spend a day with friends or family!

This is the perfect zoo for toddlers and small children. It's not huge but it has all of the major animals. I know my toddler only likes a couple hours and she's ready to go so it was perfect. The staff was friendly and informative as it was very clean the animals seemed well-kept, all-around great experience!

Smaller kids were able to immerse in the toy Grocery Store, Reading Adventureland pirate mail, and Sesame Street exhibits on the 1st floor. There were neat areas including the Pinball Playfield and outdoor Field of Play with a D&D dragon statue and Monopoly for photo-ops on a nice day. The Hulk strength and Spider-Man city climb exhibits in the Comic Book Hero area were also fun. On the 2nd floor, the Digital Worlds and Video Game Hall of Fame featured many classic and independent video games that kept us entertained on various consoles. We also had plenty of fun in the Level Up area, especially with the interactive stealth zone and wall toss games. These were all included in the admission price but my personal favorite were the arcades at $1 per 5 tokens and featured Mario Cart and Halo plus many more games from the past four decades. We literally visited three days in a row here to experience the many parts of the museum for multiple days of play. With added admission, we also worked up a sweat on the Skyline Climb rope course and zipline above the atrium. It was well-designed with a safety rail & traffic light system that made it suitable for young kids. The site has a rainbow parking garage with 6 parking entries included in each annual family membership. Skip it or hit it? We had such a fun time that we'll definitely revisit in the future. Good thing it's only 3 hours drive from Toronto.

There are many play areas for kids of all ages, a Wegman's grocery store, a giant working Simon, outdoor space for bubbles, giant sized Monopoly, a giant Chutes and Ladders, a huge Donkey Kong game, plenty of pinball and arcade machines. This year they added an indoor 9 hole mini golf course as well. The part that always leaves me in awe is the massive collection of old toys and video gaming systems. A great trip down memory lane always.

A Magical Birthday Experience at the Nature Center!…read more We recently celebrated a birthday at this nature center, and it was absolutely wonderful--far beyond what we expected! The indoor nature exhibits were a huge hit. They were interactive and filled with fascinating things to see and touch--specimens and lifecycle interactive displays. It was hands-on, educational, and exciting for both kids and adults. The animals were a favorite part of our visit. There were so many more than we expected, and we especially loved the friendly bird that said "hello"! Outside, the nature trail was beautiful, peaceful, and filled with hand-painted murals that gave it a magical feel. We added our own fun by hiding tiny money gnomes along the fairy trail as part of the birthday party, and it turned out to be a big hit! You can also hand feed the chickadees along Birdsong trail. The volunteer staff was amazing--so helpful, patient, and welcoming. They really helped make the day feel special and run smoothly. Our package included a very educational 1:1 with several birds that we got to take photos with, pizza, drinks, access to facility, nature center, private room and staff to assist. All in all, it was a fantastic experience--fun, educational. We're already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

The kids liked the kangaroos the best, the adults liked holding the baby kangaroos, but all of the animals were cool. All the staff were friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. From there we hopped on the wagon (dress warm!) to go get a Christmas tree. For $68, they have 3 types of trees to choose from - Douglas, Frazier & concord (?) and a discount tree area. Saws are available on the tractor/wagon or bring your own. I recommend bringing something to kneel on, but not essential. The ground is rocky, with stumps, so watch your step too. We found a nice tree - saw worked great - easy to load on the cart and staff got it on the back of the tractor. Back at the farm, staff took all the trees over to the bailer (see video) and we went inside to pay. Inside the gift shop there are snacks, fudge, and donuts plus stuffies, ornaments, and other knickknacks. We paid for the tree, picked it up outside, and loaded the tree on the car (bring cords, etc) and ate donuts on the way home. Everyone had a great time and we will probably come back next year!

Lots of activities for kids, including a petting zoo, big slides, rides, and games. That day they also had an antique car show and dog show (rescue dogs doing agility and tricks) going on. Overall, I think if you're okay with the admission price, this is a fun place for families to spend a few hours!

I do not fault the farm for that, but can't give a 100% full and accurate review until we are able to experience those things. As noted above we were unable to see the animals, which was really disappointing! But we understand why. We stopped at the office to check, and they were very friendly. They informed us that due to Covid the walking trail is the only thing that is open to visitors, so that is what we did. The farm itself is cute. The grass was groomed, there is a sign telling you what was where, and swinging benches were all over the place. We visited the greenhouse, but there wasn't much going on in there. You can buy plants and flowers. It looked like there was a sand table that kids could dig around in that is probably busy on better days. We walked the trail, scoped out the pond (watch that loose board!), and went into the woods. This is where it got interesting, because I had no idea it was lined with "fairy houses"! My daughter was elated about this, and we checked out every single one. There were also signs with cool nature factoids, like what prints certain animals make, and how to tell how old a tree may be. There is a really nice pavilion just outside of the farm entrance, and a playground there too. Another fun thing we discovered by the playground was a Little Library! This place has great reviews overall, and I believe them. I think that we'd really love it once we are able to experience all that it has to offer. I still recommend it now if you are looking for a fun and easy trail to walk. Especially if you have kids! And it is right around the corner from other trails and fun playgrounds to explore, too. We will definitely come back and try again when Covid precautions are lifted! :)
