We were in unit 276. 176 had been vacant for months and was filthy. I complained almost daily to management. Finally they had someone bomb several apartments. Didn't do anything but make the baby sick and cough. I walked around door to door getting people to sign a petition just to have that done. The only real way to get rid of them is to burn it all down. They mostly have the German roaches which can have 35 to 50 babies at a time six times per year. They multiply faster than all others. We would see them mating on the wall. I finally left 4 months into a year lease. Didn't care about the damage to my credit. This place was a 4 month long nightmare! Not all the apartments there are infested, just quite a few.

And when you can't find the parents, you are forced to contact management. But she did next to nothing, & problem never went away even until the last day that I lived there. I'm not a young woman who can easily go upstairs anyways, and having to dodge a gang of unwatched rowdy elementary kids is not only dangerous for someone my age, it was totally unnecessary. I'm pretty sure that kids defacing and leaving slippery food products on your staircase qualifies as a lease violation. But no one cares, especially the manager. Who, is not actually a property manager at all, she is a lazy inexperienced "quik-hire" who the owners stuck in the position because nobody else wanted the job. Then there's the issue of excessive noise. Its gets so loud with fighting kids at shadow Glen, you'd think you just moved into a troubled youth camp. They don't play. They argue! And these loveable tykes yell as loud as posible from the time they get off the bus, until the sun sets. No parents. No Management. Zero supervision. My son tried parking his car inside the apt-complex parking lot, and it was hit by a scooter twice. Manger asked if we had proof, and even though I watched the kid hit my car, we didn't have around the clock surveillance on our Subaru, so the manager said we could not prove it was damaged at Shadow Glen. So glad to be anywhere else.

The property manager himself was yelling aggressively, including threats like "I am going to bash your head," before sheriff deputies arrived. In my opinion, the behavior displayed was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate for individuals responsible for managing tenants and overseeing residential property. I also witnessed what appeared to be harassment and profiling of young Mexicans, with assumptions being made about people being gang members. What is most concerning is that the company appeared to immediately side with their employee without fully understanding the situation or investigating all sides of the incident. Property owners should expect professionalism, communication skills, and responsible conflict resolution from the people managing their investments. Based on what I witnessed, I did not see those qualities demonstrated here.
