6/15/26- Desperately needed an expert to help with the backyard sprinklers.. Being away for four days and came back to a large brown spot .. and drying grass.. It's been a yearly issue when the heat starts and the grass starts looking stressed. Relying on Yelp and Google.. lead me to Matt from countryside Lawns. Reached out last week, and prompt communication from the start. Matt arrived today and I led him to the problem area.. After two hours of replacing and adjusting sprinkler heads, I could already see a difference. Knowledgeable, professional and honest.. that best describe the visit. Definitely keeping him on my list of favorite contractors! I learned so much from him about the sprinkler heads- trajectory and fertilizers.. Thanks Matt, and I definitely hope to see you on the water fishing.. read more

Quality work and a great person to work with and responsive. He does the job quickly and is always friendly and very knowledgeable.

Matt really saved my bacon when my sprinkler main sprung a large leak. He cleared his schedule for the afternoon in order to get to it as it was unable to be turned off without leaving the house without water. He dug a huge hole and fixed it nicely and finished the job well - as always. Matt is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended. read more

I had leaked water filling my irrigation control valve risers and Matt of Countryside identified the issue quickly and fixed it. He explained to me the issues that he might find but the remedy was much less involved and less expensive. His knowledge and honesty is truly the best. Thanks again Matt. read more

We're so happy we were able to have Matt come and fix all our sprinkler issues. Apparently the landscapers, who did our yard were not experts in irrigation. Matt explained everything that was wrong and how he fixed it. He was able to quickly adjust and replace sprinklers, fix a leaky drip line, and determine why our tree was dieing - it had one blocked drip line when it should have had three working ones! He set our timers for optimum results. He also advised us on weed control and how to restore our lawn. We look forward to having a green lawn and a healthy tree. We learned so much! Matt was extremely helpful, responsive when contacted, he works fast and thoroughly. To us his work went above and beyond the price. So much better than all the money we paid for the original landscape! read more

Matt came out and fixed my sprinkler valve that would not shut off. He also assessed my sprinkler heads and replaced the ones that were not watering properly because they were too far below the surface of the lawn. He did a great job! Very professional and very reasonable! Highly recommend! read more

Great work! I did some landscaping and unfortunately broke some sprinkler lines plus need some moved. I called Matt Friday and he was able to come out Monday. He did the work professionally & quickly, plus gave suggestions on the landscape. read more

Can't sing Matt's praises enough. Contacted him on a Saturday when I discovered there was no water flowing through my drip system; plants were starting to die. He requested a picture of my backflow so he knew what size the pipes were and said he would try to fit me into his already full schedule. He called me back shortly after receiving the picture and told me to turn a particular handle on the backflow. He thought that would solve my problem and it DID! How refreshing to discover a vendor with such integrity. He could have waited and charged me for a service call, but instead he fixed the issue over the phone. Matt will definitely be my go to guy for any future irrigation needs. read more

We called Matt for an emergency service on a Sunday, and he dropped everything to come and help us (on his birthday, no less!). The pipes to our irrigation shut off valve sprung a significant leak and was flooding the yard, so we had to turn off water to the house while we figured it out. Matt came out, quickly diagnosed the problem and what had likely caused it. He replaced the cracked joint, but also rerouted our pipes to be at the correct angle and alleviate the pressure to prevent the same thing from happening again in the future. Without his help we would have likely been without water for a few days. We are so grateful for his help, and highly recommend him to anyone else needing sprinkler system repair. read more

Matt is honest, efficient, and has great attention to detail. We got tired of having to rebuild our irrigation manifold after every winter and I saw Matt's reviews and decided to give him a call. We weren't in a state of emergency so we said we could wait - he's a popular guy (and I can see why)! I texted him pix of our manifold, and he was upfront about his rates and how much time he thought it might take. In the end I think it took maybe a couple of hours, and the price was very reasonable. He added a new drain and actually let us know some very handy information about our valves. I don't think we're going to have any more problems with cracking pipes or breaking valves due to winter freeze. I would absolutely recommend Matt to anyone who needs help with their irrigation system. read more

We called Matt to get help with a leak we had around the main valve feeding our irrigation system. It was pretty deep down there and we just didn't have time to address it ourselves. He was super prompt getting back to us and was very pleasant to talk to on the phone. We were getting ready to leave town for a long weekend, so we needed to try and meet with him pretty quickly on a Thursday to make sure he was all set to do the work. He was so accommodating in fitting us in and knew exactly what needed to be done right off the bat. We felt completely comfortable leaving for the weekend and knowing he was going to handle the work while we were gone. When we got back we were delighted to see that he not only fixed the problem, but also made sure the rest of the irrigation control system was leak-free. He sent us photos throughout the process so we could reference what was down there in the future. I have no reason to call anyone else in the future if we have any irrigation needs and he'll be the first name if a friend ever needs a reference - Matt is a total pro. read more

I called Countryside based on their favorable reviews. I had two sprinkler valve boxes full of water and I could not determine the exact location of the leak. It took a lot of digging and Matt was able to find a loose PVC elbow on the service line into the valve manifold. It appears the elbow had been dry fitted years ago, but the installer had failed to glue the elbow to bond it. Over the years, the elbow had become loose from water pressure. Matt cut out the elbow and installed and glued a new elbow and my problem was solved. Matt also took the time to explain other things about my sprinkler system that could become issues later. One thing he explained was the person who installed the system had installed anti-siphon valves which are not designed to be installed under the ground in valves boxes. The proper valves should have been inline valves which are designed to be installed underground with valves boxes. Matt charged a very reasonable fee. Matt will do all the dirty digging work, but you can save some money by helping him with the digging which I did. Matt is very knowledgeable about sprinkler installations and I highly recommend him for sprinkler repair. read more

Countryside Lawns - Sprinkler Valve Manifolds - Landscaping Near Me

Called to make an appointment and left a voicemail. Matt (the owner) called back very quickly and we set a date for him to come out. I had two issues, one, my lawn just recently began turning brown and appeared to be dying and two, I was not getting the proper water pressure in one area of my yard through my drip system. Matt immediately diagnosed my lawn issue as "brown patch" fungus and then told me what to buy to treat it. Located the fungicide at Lowe's and will use it tomorrow. The drip issue was more difficult. We agreed that the problem was a leak and/or blockage in the area not receiving the water. Matt ended up digging (by hand) under a couple of big bushes and located a leak which he fixed but there was still not enough water pressure. Because the roots had grown all around the main drip tubing. Matt cut the tube and bye passed the problem area which fixed the water pressure issue. Matt ended up spending a couple of hours digging and repairing with outside temperatures around 90 degrees. Matt is very personable and friendly...I highly recommend him for your sprinkler and drip irrigation repairs. read more

Matt was quick and on time. He got my from drop system leak fixed and adjusted our back yard sprinklers working so all the grass is now getting water. He was so knowable about our trees and bushes. We will use him again. read more

Took a chance based on the all the great reviews. Sure happy that I did. Matt fit us into his busy schedule, diagnosed the problem with our irrigation system and replaced the leaking vacuum breaker. Not an inexpensive repair, but the quality of work was worth every penny. Matt is knowledgeable and a true professional in the business. We asked if he could give us a little lawn care consultation and glad we did. Dead grass after winter snows? Lawn fungus = Snow mold aka lawn rot, learned something new. Would I used Countryside Lawns again? Absolutely! read more

Countryside was great! I called on relatively short notice before this weekend's cold snap, looking to get sprinkler systems winterized at our new house and the house we're just about to sell in Carson City, and Matthew was able to fit us in within a couple hours and got it all knocked out for a very reasonable price. He was careful about COVID and wore a mask the whole time, while also walking me through the existing sprinkler system at our new house that I hadn't had a chance to learn yet. Phenomenal work, and would definitely use Countryside again! read more

I called Countryside Lawns & Landscaping for assistance with repairs for my drip irrigation system. I received a call back within an hour. We set up a time for him to give me an estimate within two days. It's very rare to get a vendor that's this quick to reply and get such a quick appointment these days. Matthew arrived on time and ready to diagnose and repair my older system. Matthew found the source of the leaks and quickly and professionally repaired them. He had all the parts with him. He did not waste any time. He's fast and efficient. He stayed on the job and completed it during his first visit. He was very friendly and very willing to educate me on how the system worked. It was a pleasure to have him do the job. I will definitely contact him for future projects at my home. I highly recommend his services. read more

Matt and crew are awesome!!! He takes the time to talk through the project and explained every aspect. The finished product was exactly what we discussed. Love my new front yard! The job was completed on time, and professionally. Thank you, would certainly recommend!! Barbara C. read more

I was interested in extending my drip lines to areas where we didn't have any water. Matt is very knowledgeable about irrigation, drip lines and more. Matt was unable to do dig the trenches for the water line/hose bibs, but once the hose bibs were put in, he has put in dozens of drip lines. He knows what trees need how many emitters and shrubs and flowers need less. He continues to update the lines on the property as I add more trees and plants. He is a life saver. I don't have to spend 6 days a week watering anymore. Matt also found some leaks that we weren't expecting from the values and took care of them right away. Normally my husband turns on the irrigation each Spring and shuts it off in the fall. I will probably have Matt come by in the Spring to check all the valves once we turn them on. Matt is very friendly, knowledgeable and open to take care of any irrigation issue you might have. The only problem is he is so good that he is in high demand, so get on the list . read more
