We ordered the steak benedict and the smoked meat waffle sandwich. Steak Benedict with Spicy Hollandaise Sauce: The steak was cooked well and the eggs were poached perfectly. As for the spicy hollandaise sauce, its flavour was overpowered by the sliced cheddar cheese. Smoked Meat Waffle Sandwich: The waffles were light and fluffy. Its delicate sweetness balanced well with the smokiness of the meat. The mustard and pickle added a lot more tanginess to the sandwich than we hoped for but it was still enjoyable. The fruits were fresh and the potatoes were seasoned well. We'd be coming back again to try out their other food.

If you…read moredon't have a sweet tooth, there are lots of other breakfast combinations ranging from your average eggs, bacon and toast to breakfast sandwiches & skillets. There is something for everyone. I walked in on a Friday morning and this place was packed. You can see big portioned plates of food being dropped off at different tables and the smell of delicious pancake batter filled the room. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake French toast and my husband ordered Jack's skillets which came with diced smoked bacon, chorizo sausage, onions, peppers and home fries topped with scrambled eggs & cheddar. Once the food came, I was in shock! My plate has 3 nice thick pieces of French toast on them, topped with loads of sliced strawberries, drizzled with cheesecake sauce and sprinkled with brown sugar. My husband skillet came fully loaded and topped to the very top. Both meals were great and the servers were attentive in making sure your coffee was always topped up!

Coffee was your typical underwhelming breakfast joint type. Advised by server that first round of eggs, didn't quite make the cut.. so I waited a couple extra minutes, and they eggs where beautifully runny. Hollandaise was ok, not too salty or runny. Just missing that extra something in flavour. The star of this dish is absolutely the massive thickness of the peameal bacon. Homefries, deep fried, adequate not special or fantastic. I asked for hot sauce, and sadly Franks is their go to. Better than Tabasco but in my opinion it's a touch basic and better options exist. This place clearly has the signs of consistency to make something amazing. Almost $3.50 for a coffee is obscene. $19.00 for the benny is a bit too much. Flavour ok, but the cost was pretty outrageous. Chop 10% off the price which is still a decent price point for them, shave the size of the peameal bacon a touch and add more flavour you'd have great value and great food.

The menu was super similar to most breakfast places, the Vé u was quite tightly packed, and it came accords as your average "diner-like" breakfast joint - and it was. While the food was not bad, and the service was great, it was nothing particularly special and there were a couple things that stood out and brought down the review. Knives: I could not cut pancakes with my knife. No one could cut their food with their knife. Please buy new cutlery for the restaurant. Also, I suggest investing in some new knives for your kitchen staff. My poor tomato slices looked like that had lost a battle when they arrived on my plate. Bathrooms: there are two identical single use bathrooms at the back of the restaurant - men and women. There is absolutely no reason that both these bathrooms could not be dual use. Both were clean enough, had toilets and sinks, and a locking door. Also, please put a change table in the second bathroom - it's a cheap one from IKEA, does the job, and helps out all parents! Otherwise, breakfast way pretty ok! Eggs were good, food was hot, coffee was flowing. The pancakes were a little...tough(?), which was made worse by the awful cutlery - but all in all, I would eat here again if need be for the price point.
