The staff was great: The front desk person recommended the Timberline restaurant and that was 5 stars. The breakfast person was super nice :D The only reason for 4 stars is that the room we got was attached to another room via a door and that person had horror movies on until 11pm very very loud. The walls were super thin and the outside door had very little trim so after we shut off the lights, the hall lights were streaming in and lite up the room so much. (we both prefer complete blackness at night) Complimentary breakfast was quite good, hot and fresh.

We got in right before midnight and the hotel stated they didn't have our reservation and the rooms were booked. We had booked in advance through Hotels.com and they didn't have our reservation information. We showed them our receipt/proof and had to be on the phone with Hotels.com trying to resolve Quality Inns issue. Hotels.com stated that it was a Quality Inn issue and they would have to resolve it but the Quality inn refused to find any resolution for their own error. Quality Inn was not helpful and didn't not provide any assistance or alternative options for us. We ended up having to rebook and eat the cost even though we had already paid. We obviously fought otherwise but at this point it was past 1am. In addition to customer service being absolute trash, this place is disgusting. Dirty as hell, nasty breakfast, and unclean. People should really be paid to stay in this dump. Would have rather slept in my car for the night.

I suppose I should be happy that the rack rate was reasonable during what could only be called the "Great Avalanche From The Sky". No double entendre, "rack rate" means the price of the room at the front desk if you haven't booked online. Maybe it also means the price when you call the reservation desk --- I don't know. During the avalanche, there was no cell phone service. Patrons get a little surly when snowed in. I ran into some British tourists who were extremely unpleasant. No, I'm not from Hong Kong, and it's not a British colony anymore. Stars and bars for everyone, but don't thank Jimmy Carter. Just kidding. Anyway, the room was clean. In my opinion, the nicest thing about the hotel is the sign visible from the highway. The rooms are very dated and look like they haven't been updated since the 1970s. As soon as you walk into the building, there is an unpleasant odor that creates a poor first impression. The property also appeared poorly maintained. The exterior was dirty, with debris scattered around the grounds and even dog waste in common areas. The overall cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel were concerning. I wouldn't have felt comfortable using the ice machine given the condition of the property. This hotel is in serious need of a thorough renovation and much better maintenance. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again.

The AC which is also the heater is noisy, probably typical for this type of unit. The plumbing is loud from other guests but not an on going issue. It was very cold, I couldn't sleep with the heater on (Noisy), so I slept in my clothes and jacket. There are no extra blankets, the blanket provided is very thin and not suitable for cold conditions. I was really looking forward to a nice hot shower in the morning but the shower was barely warm. Too cold to take a shower! There was hot water in the sink basin though. The bed was comfy and the pillows were very good. My key card would not work in the lock I had to return to the office and wake up the manager again. He gave me two cards to try then, one did work, it was 2 am, I'm glad one of them got me in.
