One reason I dread going to…read moresalons is because i'm usually not in the mood to chat with a stranger (life is overwhelming. for me, silence is gold!) Stephanie seemed to pick up on my willingness to have silence and just let me be. Thus, the haircut was super relaxing. I closed my eyes and she did exactly what I hoped she would do to wash and cut and style my hair. I'll look for Stephanie next time I need a haircut. Also, though I hadn't sought out an LGBTQ-friendly place, I was really happy to see a rainbow flag when I walked in. Set me at ease immediately.

So I had to take 1.5 hours off of work. I actually needed a cut, but I felt the staff was more interested in chatting and having fun than talking to their clients. I missed a total of 3-hours of work and still am without a cut.

But as I was looking at my hair, and thinking about the fact she said the hair stylist who did my hair is skilled (for me she didn't seem like it..), I got afraid my hair would get even worse. So I texted her just 2 hours later from scheduling the appointment (since it was late at night so I thought text would be better), and I told her I wanted to cancel the appointment. I added photos of my haircut to my review a little later and I received a response from the owner again, and she claimed the haircut doesn't look like it was done by her stuff! I couldn't believe it. She said it may be done by others or me. Just speechless. I wanted to like the hair salon at the first place but I unfortunately the haircut I received was horrible, and I wanted to share that with others. I don't understand why the owner has to respond to my review like that instead of taking the responsibilities.

I posted photos of what I wanted and what I got.
