New owners Karen and Jody run a classic clock store that is a little like walking into a museum back in time. Both are masters of clock history and clock repair as well as offering an amazing retail sales floor ranging from a huge castle grandfather clock to cuckoo and "character " clocks. Karen, also fondly known as "Cuckoo Karen," has a back room that looks like a scientist's or genius's laboratory. Jody repairs wall clocks and watches and also has a reputation for fixing lamps! Fred (the owner) lies through his teeth. He took many of my clocks on as consignment. When I delivered them they were in mint condition. After several months and just a few sales he decided to return them because of discrepancies were discovered. When we got the clocks back they were all broken and damaged from their incompetent handling. Fred decided to not tell the truth or mention the damages like a little rat. After opening and reviewing each clock the damages are staggering. Avoid doing business with this clown. He lied to get my business, always had a bad attitude, and isn't professional in even the smallest regard. Coward could have at least come clean about the damages like a man. He didn't because he couldn't afford to buy them. read more

I have a 1930's Seth Thomas. It worked perfectly for years, then I brought it to a fancy clock shop in West Los Angeles for overhaul, and it never worked right again. I think they put it back together wrong - it wouldn't keep going for more than a day, the tune on the chimes was misaligned, and even rang 12 times every 8 o'clock! I wasn't able to deal with it until years later I brought it to the Country Clock Shop in Everette and Jody put it back together - now it's been running for a month and seems okay. Great little privately owned Clock shop and watch repair business that I give a solid five stars. I took my nice Swiss made watch into Wagner jewelers a fancy swanky jewelry store in Marysville that does jewelry repair replace watch batteries etc. they could not even get the back of the watch off so I walked out disappointed. I did a little research and found this watch repair place in Everett and received fantastic service they replaced my watch battery while I stood there and waited. The folks at Country Clock Shop in Everett, WA are amazing--especially the woman who has saved my Nana and Opa's grandfather clock 2-3 times at this point. It's so interesting watching her pop open the back and go to work, she knows exactly what she is doing and is so at ease with all the little delicate, complicated pieces. The customer service at this overpriced shop leaves much to be desired. They were very rude to my young son who loves clocks and shattered his dreams today when they said he couldn't ever afford anything in the shop and that he couldn't hear any chimes. Will not be returning even if I became dumb enough to spend $500 on a small simple clock. read more

On 9/26 I brought my wall clock in to get a quote for replacing the small clockwork mechanism. The friendly man quoted me $30, and wrote up a ticket for that amount which I signed. On 9/30 when I returned to pick up my clock, the lady at the counter said it would be $49.99. "I'm sorry," I said. "I was quoted $30 for this work." Her reply: "I know. He told you wrong." When I protested that this isn't right, she shrugged and said "He should've checked the price list." And she rang up my card but for $49.99. This is disgustingly dishonest. I'm attaching an image of my receipt showing the original quote of $30 clearly scribbled out. I brought 2 clocks in. TLDR; they can't be bothered to look at clocks that don't make them a nice profit. They looked at both clocks, on the counter, said they couldn't do anything. Didn't even take them apart. They did however try to sell me one of their clocks, which told me everything I needed to know. 1. "It's too old". The shop literally has clocks from the late 1800's to modern day. The clock is from the 1980's. 2. "It's cheaper to just buy a new one." I don't like throwing things away that can be fixed. "I could call the company if you want" I said sure, call the company. She immediately said that she didn't have the number, and threw in another lame other excuse. The shop doesn't have Google? By the tone of her voice and facial expression, I could tell that she didn't give a crap and that this job wasn't going to make her any money. She just wanted me to buy something or leave. Old farts who don't want to work should retire and move on. read more

Don't go here for a Grandfather clock repair. First off Jody, the office manger, is less than customer friendly. Secondly, I was quoted a price of $3500.00 yet a better rated company was half that price for the same repair. I would like to venture the young guy who does watch repair is excellent. read more

They have batteries can fix almost any watch and are very friendly~ I originally went to the mall and one of the jewelers said they helped me get a new battery in my watch. When i came and brought another watch in they opened it to add the battery but could not get it back on.. Thankfully i stooped by the County clock shop and they helped me at minimal cost to get the back back on along with took one of the links out!! They took in my clock for repair and after 5.5 months of no progress or repair (plenty of excuses & discussion about parts being ordered, waiting in the queue for those ahead of me and the best one....they are working on it!) I had to physically show up in the store and stand there until they returned my clock, exactly in the state I have left it for them in 2021. read more

I had brought my grandmother's clock here on consignment to sell, after having the entire clock- cabinet refurbished, motor replaced, for $1500.00, it was working great! They kept the clock for 3 years and never called or attempted to contact me. I decided to sell it myself. When I went to pick it up they had lost the key, scratched the cabinet door, got water damage on the finish so it was flaking, and damaged the clockworks so the second hand doesn't move!! The sales person ran to the back to get a stain rag to try and make the scratch disappear, while another went searching for a substitute key that would fit. The staff was completely unconcerned with the damage that had been done or the condition of my clock. I would never recommend this business to anyone! They are unprofessional and unskilled. read more

It's a beautiful store, and the front desk clerks are nice, but the repair staff needs better customer service skills. I brought in a old, albeit cheap, pocket watch for repair. I know it's cheap, but it has a lot of sentimental value. They offered to sell me a replacement crystal face, but would not offer repair service on a "throw away watch" as the repairman stated. No consideration that I would've payed any amount for a sentimental piece like this. I'll find another watch repair service for my future endeavors. Don't go here unless you have money and nice watches apparently. read more

Some shops are just super fun to visit. I do a lot of online shopping but when you want something like a nice Clock? You have to go and see, feel and hear it. Selection here is pretty great, both of the older gents that helped my wife and I where just fantastic. We were looking for a nice clock for my parents 50th Anniversary. Not only did we find an amazing piece but they suggested a good engraver for the plate right down the road. All in all, just a stellar experience. read more

I had the crystal replaced in my Citizen watch here. My watch is probably about 6 years old. First they said they could replace it. Then I had to wait for an authentic Citizen crystal. Then to be told my watch was too new and they could not get a Citizen Crystal for it. So I agreed to have a crystal put in it to get my watch back which cost more then I was expecting for it not to be a Citizen crystal. That was my first mistake. My second mistake was to have them come and clean my Grandfather Clock. The owner came and was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable. He decided not to clean the clock even though that was what I was expecting and paid for. Glad he only did what he did. I believe he damaged one of the hands on the clock. The chimes do not work now. And it doesn't keep time. I was told when he left why he didn't clean the clock and it sounded reasonable at the time and if the clock didn't run right then to give him a call and he would come back and clean the clock without charging more. So I went in person. He seemed rather put out at first that I was there requesting the click be cleaned, but made an appointment any way. I got home and cancelled the appointment. I realized that that would probably be mistake number three. I will now save up my money again and have it done right by the business that I purchased the clock from even though they cost a lot more. You get what you pay for! read more

I felt like a mark, not a customer. My grandparents gifted me their grandfather clock recently. Everything was working fine, and then it suddenly began to go slow, no matter what adjustments I made to the pendulum. I noticed the chimes behind the pendulum, which were things that I'd never noticed before, and called my grandparents about them, to see if I had just gotten something wrong. Both of them had never seen the chimes behind the pendulum in all of the time they'd had it (over 30 years), and the pendulum seemed to get caught on them, so I let the clock stop. I went in to see if they could do house calls in the pandemic after a few months. They said they would. In my description of my concerns, the lady behind the counter reacted as if I knew nothing (I obviously wouldn't be there if I were an expert of all things grandfather clock), and she offered only once piece of advise. When it came to the chimes in the case, which was the main concern, she said nothing. She told me that it would cost over $100 if their repairman could fix it on site. Fine, dandy. He comes on the day appointed, walks into my home with an attitude of "I'm dealing with an idiot, and this will be the easiest $100 we ever make," and tells me the chimes have always been there, we've just never seen them before. He shows me where they're screwed in, and won't listen to any concerns I had about not noticing them. He moves the clock feet, which I could have done on my own if someone had said that those chimes were unmoving, and said he still has to charge me. He didn't even match the chimes to the hands (I'd turned the chimes off when the clock began to run slow, since they were always wrong); he simply left the chimes off and turned the hands to the correct time. He was never sympathetic, nor ever kind. He left with an even $100 as if he'd done me a favor to round it there, after making me feel robbed in my own house. I didn't feel helped. I didn't feel like he'd done me a service. I felt like a target. An easy mark. I'm so incredibly angry and insulted. I have lost my grandfather since, but my grandmother wishes to see the clock, and I have nothing to tell her other than "they just think we're stupid, Gramma." Either way, I never want to see that man again, nor the lady who initially spoke to me. read more

This place is wonderful. And I haven't even been in the store. I purchased an antique grandfather clock at an estate sale and it wouldn't run. They came out, explained to me what was going on, and showed me where the previous owner had tried to fix the clock with a sewing needle. LOL He took the clock works with him. The clock was cleaned and repaired and reinstalled in less time than promised. My clock is a very happy one now. And I'll never use anyone else. read more

I took in an old marine clock that hadn't run for years. Before throwing it away, I took it to the Clock Shop to see if anything could be done. They put in a new electric motor and battery and had it ready in a couple of days. Keeps perfect time now. Am planning on returning to get batteries replaced in a couple of watches later today. read more
