Honest, friendly, helpful, open to negotiation, with no pressure to buy!! We would recommend this place, especially salesman Brett Eisenhauer! My husband and I are from the Sunbury area and our out-of-state daughter really wanted to buy a used Subaru Outback. This place had one and she asked us to check it out...2017, low miles, at a decent price. Brett answered our many questions, pointed out a few things we had missed (a few exterior cosmetic things), and was willing to take a lower offer to his manager, Gary. A counter offer was made and we said, "Yes!" They handled all the paperwork with our daughter...long distance. We paid them, the title's in her name, and we drove it home. Easy-peasy! Told me to go shop elsewhere. Went elsewhere and bought with a friendlier salesperson. Id avoid this place if you can. read more

I live in Columbus and I make the drive to go to Coughlin Newark GM, because I love the customer service people Bruce and Billy. I am not a mechanic and when my Chevy check engine light came on I was freaking. Billy and Bruce got me through the process and when I call three times they handled my questions and concerns. They even called a week later to see how my Chevy was running. When my Chevy was getting fixed it I even got and oil changed. I've had to come here a few times to get my Pontiac serviced. Moving to Ohio from another state meant I needed a front license plate bracket put on my car. Although it was simple and something they've probably done a thousand times, it was an easy process for me and didn't cost much. The facility is nice and the guys in the service department are friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back....if I need to! ;o) read more

WARNING.....BAIT AND SWITCH in my opinion. Trip to Coughlin Newark Ohio after seeing their sale prices on the internet. Then, they wouldn't honor the prices advertised as "Coughlin's Price" . A purchase price offer was made to them, and they countered back with another offer which was accepted. Then they ran the credit score, which is 840. Then the manager comes out and raises the price of the vehicle $800 plus another $600 for the protection they claimed they put on the car. First of all, the car came from another dealer the day before, so sure that was bogus. Opinion is, they operate a "bait and switch" sales department. Even after they gave an "out the door" price, it ended up being more than the higher quoted price. They did agree to take off the $600 protection coating (which probably wasn't done), but refused to honor the price they quoted in person that they would sell it for. read more

I went to Couglin because I seen a truck that I wanted online last Sunday night. So I set up an appointment to take a look at this truck on Tuesday morning. So when I got there I talked to the salesperson about it. So when I went to test drive it she told me that there were some sensors that were on and the fuel gauge wasn't showing the level of fuel and I asked her if the lights on the dash were going to be fixed and she said yes also was going to get an oil change. So I drove it around and everything was fine. So I signed all the papers and I asked before i lefted is everything going to be fixed and I was told yes and then she back pedaled.......its a used vehicle if we fixed it we would've priced much higher but I'll se what I can do. So after I signed the papers you tell me this so I'm screwed plus I'm paying on this truck. I couldn't take it home because my wife was at work. So I called Friday afternoon and it takes me 3hrs to get a response so you know what that means. I pick the truck up and the sensors are still on and I asked about the oil change because there was no sticker on the windshield. The truck sat there for 4 days and I wanted was those things to be fixed and not be lied to. Will I never buy a car there nor I will never recommend anyone to buy a car there at any of your dealerships. I'm still really aggravated of what happened and to hear my wife say I told you so. read more

Stay away! I took my car to them to service the transmission and it seem like they, din't know what to do and when work was done, I took my car home and I open my hood to the car and my engine cover is missing. The sale personal are awful, it seem like they were looking down at me when i'd ask questions and just sell me a lemon off the lot. I found a car online that I wanted to drive. I called and was told the car was there and to ask for Katie when I got there. I drove 54 miles one way to get there only to be told that the car had sold "15 minutes" ago. No one bothered to call me to tell me not to waste my time. The hour that are posted on their website are wrong for today (special hours for Memorial Day weekend). The Website said 12-5 Sun-Mon. After preparing my autistic twins to go look at this car and finally getting on the road we had to rush to make it because when we called they said they closed at 4 not 5. VERY angry and will never go back there for any car ever. Stay away!!! They don't care about your time. read more

We had a very ROCKY beginning to our Coughlin Nissan experience but MATT DILLON stepped in and took care of making this mistake on their part a positive outcome. He worked with us and we came to a satisfactory resolution. We both compromised. They met the ad amount but instead of zero down we put 1500.00 to get the the correct 369.00 before taxes. We are ok with this. They did their best to get to their figure in the ad without a major loss. Matt went well beyond what any other person would have done. He sat with us and went over every detail of the car which helped tremendously. He was great to do business with and we intend on calling upon him once we are ready to purchase a car for our daughter.
