My son and I went to Lash to purchase a used car, a 2015 Honda FIT. In fairness to Lash, the car was a used Honda FIT with 60,000 mi. It was mislabeled as an EXL but owning a FIT myself, I could see it was an EX. But the price was right. We were not anticipating any problems. . We took it on an extended test drive and something was off with the electronic display. Among other things, you couldnt see the gas gauge. Restarting the car did not reset anything. We were assured that it would be fixed either by the Lash service department or taken to a Honda dealership. That was written in the contract as an exception to an "as is" purchase. But Honda makes very reliable cars so we were okay with "as is" provided the electronic display got fixed. And it did...for about 3 days in mostly undriveable weather. Then the problem reappeared. I urged my son to immediately contact our salesperson and the dealership. And he did many times, by phone, text and email. Crickets. Everyone was always "off"or away. After all, it was in the written contract that THIS problem would be fixed. But they had his money. Now me, I would have driven the car to the dealership and camped out with Lash's unresponsiveness. But my son is an adult who prefers to avoid confrontations. Long and the short is my very positive initial experience with Lash has changed to a very negative experience. They should have fixed what they said they would when the problem almost immediately returned. read more

Adam Bryant, sales representative, was excellent--quick to respond to questions and knowledgable. He gets rave reviews! My issue is with management. I purchased a used Kia Soul there and loved it. My purchase came with two key fobs. There was a safety issue, however, with the steering wheel. They corrected the problem, but once fixed, the ignition key to my second key fob no longer worked. The management refused to replace the second ignition key fob. When I inquired, I was told that the general manager would not do so, even though we had received the second key fob at the time of purchase. This turned what should have been an outstanding transaction into a negative one. read more

I've been coming here for years. The experience has been consistent and always treated well and fair and has been the main reason I keep coming back. Shopping for cars can be stressful and pressure filled, but their staff is laid back in a non pressure kind of way that makes it feel more like the older brother that you go for advice and less like a sales tactic. This last time I stopped in I had an issue with my vehicle dashboard lights and the whole place was way awesome at helping me. With no appointment in the repair shop they came out and discussed a quick overview of what I was experiencing. They did an assessment and got me back on my way, but not before making sure that I didn't need a rental or water, or a place to just relax while I waited. They were overwhelming with their happiness at their job and the whole experience made me feel the need to write a review. I highly recommend them. This is a great facility for the consumer. The facilities are nice but modest. You pay for the privilege of a fancier facility with an exorbitant overhead. This is not that place. Clean, straightforward, not too big, and ready to sell. Additionally, when buying a vehicle from an auto dealer, the customer has a singular advocate via the sales person whom they have been dealt. When you go here, ask specifically for TYSON MURTA! I have purchased several vehicles and RV's over the years from many dealers and he is one of the finest auto sales people I've ever worked with. Every car salesperson has the unfortunate struggle of not only having to rightfully look out for his family and his employer, but also to make sure that the customer he/she is serving isn't taken advantage of. Tyson is a guy who clearly still has his character and integrity well intact. This translates to a person who can do his job well while still trying to do the best he can for his customer. During the process of finding our vehicle and determining the costs associated with such a purchase, I never felt manipulated or lied to by Tyson in any way. I imagine this may also have to do somewhat with the management, by extension, but I can only speak to my experience with Tyson. The finance manager who dealt with us at the close of the sale was direct and reasonable as well, but my experience with him was limited. We now have a vehicle which we really feel suits our family's needs. The price was extremely fair and the quality of the vehicle was excellent (we purchased a new/used). I will say, I read all 11 reviews before I purchased my car and after I first met anyone in the dealership and I was shocked at what some of them said! Local Johnstown resident here, and I'm VERY unhappy with my recent purchase from Lash. I purchased a 2012 Chevy Equinox from them about 6 weeks ago. When we test drove the vehicle we noticed some minor noise and squeaking. The salesman said that happens sometimes since the cars sit on the lot without being regularly driven, and that none of their cars make it to the lot without a full inspection blah blah. Since we're in the middle of a pandemic we really haven't driven the car more than a hand full of times in the last 6 weeks and in that time frame the sqeaking continued and the check engine light came on. We took the car to a trusted mechanic here in Johnstown that we've known for years and they found the following issues with the car: 1. Shocks & struts were toast, which ruined all 4 tires. 2. The check engine light was an evap error. The mechanic let us know that there was NO WAY Lash's inspection would not have caught this. He thinks it's likely Lash cleared the code without fixing the issue. Total $1700 in repairs. We called Lash and spoke to a manager. They said they would check their inspection records and call us back. We never got a call back. read more

Friendly, but beware of CPO vehicles at Lash Chevrolet in Johnstown, OH. A month ago, I bought a 2017 Suburban Premier Certified Pre-Owned, 1-owner local lease (owned/maintained by Lash Chevrolet) and the service engine soon light came on less than a week after purchase (P219B air/fuel imbalance between banks). I mentioned to my salesperson, Greg in response to his follow up customer satisfaction email. I was told the vehicle had sat on the lot for several months, so we both agreed it could be stale fuel. After clearing the code, it returned shortly after. My local GM dealer recommended maintenance that had not been performed at $170 and cleared the code. I asked for help from Lash Chevrolet with this maintenance bill since the problem occured within a few hundred miles of purchase. Lash would only help if I drove the vehicle back to their dealership specifically even though Lash sold the vehicle as a CPO and was supposed to perform all required maintenance. The service engine soon light returned with the same code and has manifested into a dead miss on cylinder 8 with another code P0300 (multiple cylinder misfire). Currently the vehicle is back in service awaiting further work for this issue. In the first month of ownership, I have gotten maybe a week's worth of use out of this $40k+ certified vehicle. I'd give a negative 10000 if I could This dealer changed the number (price of vehicle) at the top, so we ended up financing $4500 more than what the vehicle sale price was listed. They took are trade in and put down that they were paying it off BUT raised the sale price by $4500! This is a common dealer trick that dealerships have used forever! I made the mistake of not looking at the sale price because the dealership focuses on the payment! Be warned not to shop here! They will go over the paperwork while signing but they don't point out the TOP number before taxes, fees and rebates! Bill was very rude and called me a "liar" and he also said "you're reading too much into this". He also said "the price online is the price after rebates" BUT I have been over the paperwork many many times and it doesn't add up! Here are the numbers and tell me if I'm wrong! MSRP $53,880 Online price $45,492 (Bill told me this was the price after rebates but it doesn't add up!) especially after we got the truck for $3,000 cheaper than that price before tax and fees! Why are we so special! I've tried crunching numbers and it makes no sense!! Our price 49,742 Rebates $7250 Taxes $1636.28 Doc fees $250 Title fee $15 Registration $18.50 This truck had 3,000 miles on it (it was a loaner) and the dealer had it for who knows how long except them! But they also had a crew cab same everything else except it wasn't the z71 package (like this one we got) and it was $43.998 GUESS WHAT?? They told me the bank said NO!! I've worked in the loan and lease department at Huntington Bank, there's absolutely NO WAY the bank would turn that down UNLESS they submitted it for more maybe even on purpose (I believe they did this OR didn't submit it at all! So we got a vehicle that had 3,000 miles on it (2018 Silverado) and it was supposed to be $45,492 and the other one which was a crew cab was $43,998 and we couldn't get that one????!!!! Please!! So this dealer forced us into this one because it was a loaner and had 3,000 miles AND they probably had it longer than the other one we wanted, which if they have it more than a few months, they are forced by Chevrolet to pay interest on!!! How do you like that ?? Interesting but TRUE!! This dealership shouldn't be in business and I'm sure this has happened to others without them knowing and will continue to do so in the future if you buy from them!!! Beware if you have a trade in and owe money on it, they will say they will pay it off, but really you are paying for it!!! $4500 is not a joke, they had previously offered 26,000 we owed $28,000, that's only $2000 difference not $4500!!! Bill kept repeating telling me I was wrong and couldn't tell me how they came up with $45,492 on the website!! They haven't sent me anything in writing to show this is accurate! I have posted and will continue to post on all Facebook groups I can find, BBB, and the Attorney General for the crooked scam from this dealer to make a few bucks!! read more

I know it's seem weird to give a car dealership a 5-star rating. It almost defies the laws of physics. But maybe that's why this experience was so amazing. I bought a car here a few years ago (because they undercut the other guy's deal by a few hundred bucks). Most of the guys who work there are old and have been selling cars since Henry Ford's time... so the good news is you don't get the whole "fast-talking hustle". One salesman actually offered me a piece of apple pie which he had baked the previous evening! It was f'ing awesome! It also helped that the owner was a young guy (as opposed to one of the classic "car salesman" type with the polyester pants and the toothy-smile). He's very hands-on, so if you have any issues you can talk to him directly. Anyway, the real miracle though has been the service department. I've gone in there a couple times with my old Toyota (which was *not* purchased at Lash) and strangely enough... they've always come-in below their initial estimate. On one occasion, they estimated big a repair and later found that they didn't need to fix what they'd originally thought. I wound-up cutting them a check for $63 and went home with my car running perfectly. Bottom line--- car dealers are a pain in the arse. But these guys make it less painful. I really like this dealer and the staff. The salesman, Greg Kitchen, was very easy to work with. He is straight forward, and does not pressure you for a quick sale. He answers his emails promptly both before and after the sale. I have also dealt with the service department. The service writer was very courteous, listened to everything I had to say and thoroughly documented the problem. My car was fixed right the first time and was washed upon pickup. I was also provided with a loaner vehicle free of charge since parts had to be ordered and my vehicle was at the dealer for more that a day. read more

Horrible experience! $1600 for brakes, rotors and calipers. They don't honor prices listed on their website for this parts/service because "those rotors are paper thin and you wouldn't want them". Why advertise such items then?! Also, wouldn't honor the 10% off routine maintenance as advertised on their website. I was told they already took a half an hour off labor (4 hours for $500 for labor instead of 4 1/2 hours supposedly. Anything to not honor advertised prices. I bought my truck at lash 7 years ago and have always had it serviced at Lash only. After today, I will never be back. Not even to buy a new truck this summer. Not sure what happen to the gentlemen I've always dealt with there (who did honor the online maintenance coupon and was a pleasant man), but the person I dealt with today isn't a good representation of your company. Drove an hour to look at a truck. Truck was parked by the door, with tobacco spit cans and pop bottles inside. Truck was filthy, had been wrecked and had an additional 2500 miles on it. The rear bed cover was broke off and dents/dings all over the truck. Learned that the sales manager had taken the truck to Florida for "Bike Week". When I talked to the salesman, he was rude and would not even entertain the idea of fixing the truck or reducing the price at for all the discrepancies. Stated "You don't have to buy the truck, someone else will buy it like it is". Rude and horrible customer service. Was pulling teeth to get the salesman to even come outside. Buyer beware!!!! Soon after, I found this title just meant head scammer. He only would finance me for two years, and lied about my total payment. I didn't give up though and went to a bank for a loan. After getting it, and coming back with the money, he says someone else made an appointment to look at it so I can't buy it. Really? Why didn't they just tell me that when I spent two hours trying to get financing there this morning? They were just throwing a tantrum that I didn't do financing there, and pulled out a nice lie. Friendly people. I found a good deal, but they ended up screwing me on my interest rate. My credit score is 841, I was promised lower than 4% on the phone. When I came in there, it ended up being 4.7% on a 48 month note. I was in a hurry, and my trade in vehicle was not going to make it all the way back home, so I signed the papers because I was more or less stuck. This is the dealership we bought our new truck from, they are dishonest and an absolute disgrace to deal with. My husband and I bought a truck from out of state. We had it shipped to us via a private transport company. Once we took delivery of the truck, the truck had 1,289 more miles on it than the contract we signed. Upon notification to Lash, the General Sales Manager (GM) was very rude and at first blamed the transport company, then offering us $100, which to us took ownership of wrong doing. We declined stating that we wanted at least $600 due to the government per diem mileage reimbursement. We were laughed at and told by the GM that he would not give us that amount of money. My husband asked for a set of tow mirrors, we were declined. We asked for running boards, we were declined. The GM had called us back telling us that he would give us $200. We declined. Once we were able to speak to the Owner, Eric Lash, he refused to deal with the situation and put it back on the GM. This entire situation could have easily been resolved if the Lash Chevrolet would have owned up to the wrong doing and have dealt with it in a mature way. When we told the GM that we would report this situation to the BBB, Google Reviews, and the Attorney General's office, he said that he didn't care, "Go ahead and do it." This whole situation could have been avoided if the sales associate would have gotten off his lazy chair to go out and check the physical mileage on the truck when the purchase paperwork was being written up, or that Lash Chevrolet would not permit their employees to drive "for sale" vehicles as daily drivers to put on additional miles on vehicles that are to be purchased by "us" the consumer. We are disgusted on how we were treated when Lash Chevrolet was in breach of contract. I never suggest for anyone to do business with such a dishonest company. We are also in communication with Chevrolet Corporate to notify them of this disheartening situation. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. These crooks sold me a one year old truck that reeked like smoke, but somehow had all other the employees saying it was only a "musty smell" (still smells like smoke after weeks..). Then, When my boyfriend went to pick it up after a detail a few days after the signing, he found a 4ft scratch down the side of it that wasn't there previously. When called out on the scratch, The manager called my boyfriend a LIAR and refused to agree to fix it until I called. Also, once buying the truck, the deal was for it to have a full tank of gas and the passenger rear tire looked at (it was extremely low during the test drive)... Once truck was picked up, the tire pressure continued to be low in back tire and they left me with FOURTY FIVE MILES TO EMPTY in the gas tank. I barely made it home. You'd think spending 33k on a truck they could put some freakin gas in the tank. When I asked Tyson about it, he said they don't do full tanks of gas on pre owned vehicles EVEN THOUGH IT WAS PART OF THE DEAL. They've done nothing but lie to me. The only reason They deserve "any" good credit would be because of the nice rental they gave me for free. These people at LASH are a bunch of snakes. I do not recommend them to anyone! And as a young customer, you'd think they would have better customer service so that I would come back for my next vehicle. All I gotta say is HELL NO, **** that. read more

Get whatever car you're interested in checked out with an independent mechanic you trust. They told us they inspect every car carefully, yet sold us a car which needed extensive work done on the front end (tie rod ends, bushings, control arm, etc.). These were issues that could have resulted in an accident. Our bad for not having the car checked out first. Do your homework! read more

just and over all awful experience, i bought a new truck that had bird droppings and a couple small surface scratches on it from sitting, i asked for them to be taken care of before i left and they tried but asked that i bring it back so they could have them professionally taken care of, made an appointment and took it back, they then proceeded to have someone that didn't know what they were doing run a buffer over about 5 areas of the truck and left bad buffer marks in all the places they hit. could only see them when the sun was out which it wasnt when i picked it up. when i discovered what they done i called the salesman Mark and he stated they didnt have anyone that could work on black paint and wished me good luck finding someone, why would they let someone touch it if they didnt know what they were doing. Basically he said it was on me. i got Gm involved and they worked it out with Brad who lied to me and told me it was going to a body shop, this was trip number 2, they sent it to a detail shop who only removed part of the buffer marks, i then spoke to the manager Bill Sullivan who basically treated me like crap and a liar. i have never been so disrespected. i called the detail shop they took it to myself and made trip #3 . still not right but i am done with Lash, i would advise anyone not to go there , if you have any issues they wont want to help they lie and treat you like crap. again awful experience . read more

I have heard great things about Lash and had a great experience getting service done there on my Silverado when the starter went out. When I decided to buy a new family vehicle, I went there first. Having dealt with and even worked at other dealerships in the past, I was very happy with the entire experience (as compared to other experiences) when I bought our 2014 Equinox. The sales staff were friendly and genuine as well as very helpful. There was absolutely no pressure, but they were able to answer all my questions accurately and also worked to get the payment down a little to what I was comfortable with. I first looked on-line for a couple of weeks and narrowed the dealerships that I wanted to visit based on inventory and price. I had a vehicle to trade so I researched that value while researching the value of the vehicle I wanted to buy. Obviously the dealership has to make money but I wanted "X" amount for my car and I was willing to pay "X" amount for the vehicle we finally decided on. I went on-line to Lash to begin dealing on the vehicle. I was extremely pleased when I heard back from Jason R; not only was he willing to come within $200 dollars for my trade (this shocked me that we did not have to go back/forth) but he came down on the price on the vehicle I wanted to buy which was right in line with what I had researched. There was no pressure at all, as we looked at three different vehicles before deciding. Jason was there but did not lead us to one or the other, it was up to us. There were a few things to do to it, we made an appointment and, as promised, it was all done the same day.
