The oysters were good but the presentation was a bit off. They come out in a huge tray of ice which melted kinda quick - if you wait too long to have your oysters, you will be pulling them out of water. Also, the cocktail sauce that came with them was super watered down and messy to pour from the little cups it came in. The shrimp cocktail, though, was beautifully presented and delicious. It was topped with cilantro, red onion, and avocado. I relished every bite. Chips and salsa before the meal were good, too. The chips are dusted with some spicy powder which you can get hooked on, and the salsas were good and spicy. Unfortunately for me, though, I was exposed to Maroon 5, One Republic, and Bruno Mars songs blasting throughout the place. It felt kinda clubby, and not any club I would ever want to be in. My friendly server immediately came to check on me and see what I was interested in. It took me a minute to decide as the food selection here is impressively diverse. You can get traditional Mexican dishes as well as seafood and sushi. The chips and salsas brought out were dynamite! I loved each salsa just as much and they will keep the chips coming as long as you can handle it! I opted to start with a dozen raw oysters, which came out quickly. They were a good size and served up with Mexican cocktail sauce and limes. The only drawback to this order was that the oysters were still connected to their shells and no traditional oyster fork was offered for use. No biggie, though - a spoon did the trick. For my entree I had the large octopus and shrimp cocktail. This concoction was massive and beautifully topped with avocado, cilantro and onion. It was chock full of octopus and shrimp, and was delicious! The cold cocktail was fresh, clean-tasting, and very satisfying on a hot summer day. My experience here was excellent, and I hope to come back before my time in Laredo is done.
