This place is amazing. Burgers take 10-15 min but it's well worth the wait! Cooked perfectly, cooked to order and taste is so tender and juicy! The fries are fried perfectly as well. They have a Ringo burger challenge that needs to be completed in under 8 minutes. The ambiance is Texan and all American! What an amazing BBQ place. The owner Jorge is the most friendly and engaging business owner I've encountered in Texas. As soon as the waitress brought us our menus, he came over and introduced himself and immediately educated how is bbq was prepared and the favorites. The restaurant is tucked in the back behind other businesses so be careful you don't miss it. It has a beautiful western theme setting inside. The kids got burgers which are ground in house with brisket, unbelievable flavor. The moist brisket melted in your mouth. We didn't get the cream corn at first and Jorge insisted we try it and brought out some. It is the creamiest with jalapeños in it. You'll never have a cream corn like this, It's a must. This place changed a lot. You no longer order at the counter, great. But now that you get a menu, they shrunk the menu?! They don't have the giant chicken sandwich anymore. Service was good, I liked my lean brisket. My son said the moist brisket wasn't very moist. We had to ask for bbq sauce, our container was practically empty. The sausage was not good. I seriously believe this may be the worst brisket I have ever had, and I paid 18.99 a pound for it. Dry, old and tough, they should probably charge 25.00 a pound and call it Jerky! Mgr David hooked me up with free chicken enchiladas on my last night there as a 'thank you' for eating there so often, & that's a first after traveling for the last 9 yrs eating at many places. Food is good quality & excellent value for the price, most items come with 1 or 2 sides & its all the food I could eat in 1 sitting. Brisket & chicken are excellent. Brisket tacos were 1 of my favs, & the brisket/sausage sandwich is a close 2nd, the charro beans are also excellent! We headed to Ringo's after a basketball game. We weren't sure when we pulled up and there weren't many cars out front but the reviews were good so we figured we'd give it a shot. We're so glad we did! I had the regular cheeseburger- I think it was called the Hoss - and it was yummy! The hamburger patties were full of flavor and I love the buns they use! The seasoned fries were good too. Several in our group had the burger with caramelized onions and jalapeños and they said it was great! Their only complaint was it was too much food! Wow! This barbecue place is amazing! It is almost hidden behind a popular Mexican restaurant on Hwy 359. They offer great specials throughout the week. Brisket Taco Tuesdays, Wednesday Brisket Enchiladas, Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, and Chicken Fried Chicken plates on Friday. I've tried several things on the menu and have been completely satisfied with all of them. The proportions are large and the food is really delicious! What a treat. 2 reasons I'm not giving them 5 stars... 1st reason, their signage. If you don know where it's, you may miss it. I think a roadside sign is in order. 2nd reason, the first time I went, the smoked brisket was amazing. Exactly what I expected a good, smoked Texas brisket to be. Walked into the south side location tonight at 8. The vibe was very strange, no music, tv was muted and the 3 guys working the joint weren't very professional. Ordered a pound of brisket, brisket fries and cream corn... order took 45 minutes even though the restaurant was kinda empty, quiet and sad. When we got the food, it was cold. The cream corn was solidified. The cheese didn't even melt on my brisket fries. The brisket was cold too. I got a couple ziplocks with bread and one of the slices had mold in it. It was the saddest $37 meal I've ever had. They get two stars only because the brisket actually tasted good. The cream corn and brisket fries probably would've tasted good had it been hot or even warm. There's a sign posted on the door saying they're hiring cooks and cashiers... they don't need that, they need a leader to run the joint. read more
