Nestled in a neighborhood, Sweet Loring is the cutest place! They have so much more than just ice cream though. Delicious burgers, hot dogs, fries, and a variety of other desserts are available. Craving churros and my husband wanting ice cream we found this place thanks to Yelp. There is ample seating inside and out. It's family friendly and they have board games, a giant connect four, and even a room showing movies on a big screen. In the main area there's a stage and a microphone set up so I'm guessing they may offer karaoke or some other type of live entertainment. The outside grounds are beautiful and inviting. There's plenty of seating to enjoy the outdoors as well. The ice cream and frozen yogurt is self serve as is the toppings bar. They have a large variety of fruit, nuts, and candy you can add. I saw large Snickers, Reese's, and Butterfinger pieces if candy bars are your thing. Every type of sauce is available from chocolate (dark, milk, white), caramel including cajeta, chocolate shell, butterscotch and even honey. Seriously the choices are almost limitless. Once you create your ice cream they weigh it and you pay per ounce. The churros were among the best I've had. An order is huge and shareable. I love the different sauces they give for dipping with the sweetened condensed milk being my favorite. This place definitely hit the spot for our churro and ice cream cravings. Come hungry, their portions are pretty big. We had the Chicken Strips, Loring Burger and the Three Shrimp Burger. All were really good, would be nice if the burger patties were smashed to the size of the bun so they're not as difficult to eat or fall apart from being so thick. I'm not a fan of string fries, but they were good. The outside patio is nice to sit down and enjoy the evening. Overall it was good and would definitely visit again. read more

I can not believe this place has existed for almost 10 years and I am barely discovering it now. The location is too cute and the staff was very friendly. We had some bomb burgers I had the bacon cheeseburger burger and my husband had a Loring burger. They are very huge so come hungry. The fries were also very good. This is a hole in the wall or mom and pop spot. The food is excellent! Their burgers are some of the best, if not the best, in Texas. First visit was pleasant with yogurt. Second visit was a total let down in food and service. Food is heavy, overcooked and overpriced. If you want to eat 2,000 calories in one sitting this is the place. Staff of 2 lacked hospitality, took inaccurate order multiple times, delayed time in delivery of food and lacked welcoming service. As soon as we were getting up to exit- staff rushed to our table and hastily stammered moving the tables and chairs with unnecessary excessive noise. I originally ordered two burgers. they have a stupid menu that says that there is a burger called grilled cheese burger but in reality it's just a grilled cheese sandwich and I thought that it was a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato so when I ordered it the man over the phone thought that I said a grilled chicken sandwich and then he put that order in and my mom went to go pick it up and instead they made her wait like 40 minutes just to give her a disgusting little grilled cheese sandwich. Even though the man in the counter had said that my mom was going to receive a grilled chicken sandwich and it wasn't even that it ended up being a grilled cheese sandwich not only that, when I ate my burger it was extremely salty so I didn't even like it. my mom had complaint when she was there and she was given a coupon of that price of the grilled cheese sandwich so we could only get anything that was the same price is 8.66 which was NOT a burger. no burger cost $8.66 and she wouldn't understand that I had originally wanted a burger and that that's what I was ordering because the menu causes so much confusion and she refused and she said no and she just hung up the phone on me and she was being extremely rude. Unbelievable and disgusting service I had gone there before and I had a really liked it and I was very satisfied but now that this is happened I see that Sweet Loring is very disgusting and. it hasnt only happened to me it's happened to a lot of people as i see in the reviews. read more
