Their deli and cheese section is likewise very good. Overall, they probably have what you need in this grocery store. Prices aren't bad considering what you get. But man oh man is it not fun to shop here. It's always busy and crowded, but that's not the worst of it. The worst part is the army of curbside shopping people they have. These shoppers are pulling these huge carts, which they leave in the middle of the aisles while they go off in search of items for multiple orders. It's not like you can ask them to move, because half of the time, they aren't near that cart. They know where things are so they just "pop around the corner" to gab items while the cart sits blocking the aisles instead of the shopper wheeling it around. Honestly, with all of the curbside shoppers clogging the flow, it's just a heck of a lot less frustrating for me to go somewhere else. I had hoped the recent expansion would have eased this problem, but it hasn't.

My husband and I finally got to visit Wise Choice Custom Meats today! This is a game changer :D There are freezers full of delicious frozen offerings, fries, jalepeno taters, fried pickles, etc, and we grabbed a few to try. Also, there is a wall of quite the selection of local honey, jams, etc. BUT the real gem, the raw meat counter was chock-full of incredible cuts and varieties of meats! We decided to try to the cordon bleu chicken and brisket poppers this trip, as well as an 18 pound brisket, YUM! The employees were ready to help with any questions and even handed us a basket when our hands started to get too full. So grateful! I will note for future review readers, there is about a 4% card charge. Apparently there are signs that I missed while I was busy bouncing my eyes from product to product, so I ended up having to call once I got home about why the receipt showed a much high price than the label on the meats. So, the price label on the products is the cash price, totally understandable! In conclusion, Wise Choice exceeded our expectations on meat selection, and they even have Diet Dr Pepper and Topo Chico (I didn't have to run to Walmart for sodas! Woohoo!). Thanks team!!

Shelves need some love. Cleaned first and foremost but nothing stays stocked. There isn't a lot of selection. Every thing just looks bleh. The only employees I ever see are the cashiers and they don't even greet you when you walk in the door. Everything is over priced. I have tried to come in a few times thinking it might get better and every single time I am disappointed and just walk right back out not purchasing a thing. I got a breakfast plate which was so generous I could not finish it all. The employees are friendly and helpful, even taking your groceries to your car. They also offer curbside pick-up. I have been in several other smaller United grocery stores which were great, but this one is much larger and offers more. At home we have an excellent grocery store popular in Texas and known by three letters. But if this United grocery store was in our town I would shop here.

I am from the West Coast and am pretty particular about seafood as a whole. I've gone into local restaurants and was like ohhhhhh I can taste that this shrimp was frozen. Ohhhh kay... I picked up the Big Wave Poke Bowl because I have seen Asian people working behind the counter and that gave me comfort. This Poke Bowl was delicious!! The fish tasted fresh. I was so happy!! We normally love shopping here, but recently they did 3 things that are quite irritating…read more 1. Recently they've been changing up the ReadyMeals in many ways. Firstly they removed the tortillas from the taco kit, eventually replacing the kit with a "bowl" with most of the same ingredients, but seemingly less chicken and no tortillas. A very problematic change they've made to seemingly ALL of their ReadyMeals is removing cooking/heating instructions. Not only does that seem like a hazard, but it certainly makes it quite the challenge when trying to cook a pizza in the oven. Does it need 350 or 400°? Does it need 8, 10, 15, 20, or 25 minutes to properly cook? These factors vary by each type of pizza. Is the fraction of a cent saved on printer ink on the label worth the customer dissatisfaction? I would think not. 2. They removed all the wall art of the history of Wichita Falls, which had previously made the store feel more "local" and less "uninspired corporate cookie cutter location." 3. They moved the Dublin sodas (a local to Texas brand) to 4 different places around the store and have slowly been phasing them out. Of course, starting with our favorite 1891 Founder's Recipe Cola, followed by our second favorite the Cherry Limeade. We used to buy 6-12 bottles every 1-2 weeks. Normally I could see this being an issue with a lack of demand, but they were constantly sold out of those 2 flavors. I don't expect the 2nd change to be addressed, but it would be nice if the 1st and 3rd would be addressed. Regardless, staff is always friendly and helpful.
