We have been fans of Cotton Patch since we moved to Fort Worth 10 years ago. While the in-restaurant dining experience has always been great, the takeout experience is the opposite. It never fails that at least one item is missing. Last time it was the gravy for the steak fingers. Therefore I made a note on the order this time "please don't forget the gravy". As one might guess, it was forgotten again! When I called it out the missing gravy, the girl seemed surprised and had to get it for me. Once I had it in hand, I let her know I'd called it out specifically in my order and then she proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away. I didn't get her name but she needs to learn better customer service skills. Management has turned over a few times here recently so maybe whoever's running the show now isn't customer focused. Please implement a quality check on orders. It's so frustrating to get home and realize part of an order is missing! read more

NOT GOOD. IT WAS A SERVICE PROBLEM. Tonight at Cotton Patch, we were seated in a friendly manner, and were given menus with a friendly smile. Then we looked at our menus, took a few minutes deciding what we wanted to eat, then closed our menus and waited...and waited...and waited. Apparently, there was no staff assigned to our section of the restaurant, so after several minutes, we finally gave up. We walked past the staff at the front, made eye contact with staff, shrugged with wide eyes & no one cared, so we walked out. The good news is that we found the Hashi Japanese Kitchen in the same strip center, & they actually served us, & their food was delicious! read more

We went in for the $5 chicken fried steak and she had the chicken fried chicken. The place was busy, waited 25 minutes but it was worth the wait the chicken fried steak was huge and very good and her chicken fried chicken was moist and crunchy. The waitress was very nice and helpful! read more

A couple of friends and I stopped here for lunch, 3/20/25. All three of us had the salmon dinner with two sides. The salmon was good yet slightly under cooked. They must have added seasoning part way through the cooking time as the flavor was not throughout the entire entre. Sweet potato was good add the cinnamon butter for the finale touch. Server (was possibly Evan) was on top of the drinks being kept full. I drink hot water and usually the server will deliver one cup then not return to keep it full. I guess they do not know what to do with a hot water drink. The other two drinks were attended to often. The food was good just a normal cafe type of quality. We had sweet potatoes, steamed broccoli, now the green beans had a bit of spiciness to them. Two out of three were clean plate members so I'd say it is ok. The place was clean and quiet enough to carry on a conversation which was important to the three of us. read more

Today I came in to pick up an order, I understand many people were there, to pick up Thanksgiving orders. We did not get our gravy with our Chicken Fried Chicken or Chicken Fried Steak, the veggies were good but my Chicken Fried Steak was dry and hard, the Chicken Fried Chicken was the same way. Why you would forget to give people gravy is beyond me. Gravy is the most important thing with these two meals. When I arrived at 6:00 PM my pick up time my order wasn't ready I had to wait about 5 minutes. I hope you can do better next time. read more

Delivery was great, earlier than quoted. Food was hot and fresh. The problem came with the portions. Ranch house steak was good. Loaded mashed potatoes were nice size portion. Squash casserole was satisfactor. Green beans, well, I could count the beans without using my fork. Smallest serving I have ever seen for the cheapest side. Just crazy. Slow.....ordered online for pickup. Meals were 30 minutes later than the promised time. One meal was completely left off the order. I checked it prior to leaving the restaurant, so at least I didn't have to go back. This is the second time that the order was incorrect with the online order process. The ticket printed and attached to the order had everything correct. How did they miss a complete meal? There should be a check off system in place to insure the orders are complete. The online order process is excellent when placing the order. Easier than most of the other restaurants. Now get a good quality control system in place! read more

Great flavor and most of the tendons that can be found in some chicken strips were non existent great because I hate tendons in chicken strips. I made an online order for a curbside pickup at 5:22pm on 1/1/21. I was told my order would be ready at 6:00pm. 40 minutes is a long wait, but with everyone doing curbside pickups, I've come to expect a little longer wait time. I arrived at 6:00 and got the last available curbside parking space. I called inside and I provided my name and parking space number. I was told my order would be right out. 20 minutes later my order still hadn't arrived; so, I called back and asked if there was a problem. I was told my order would be right out. 30 seconds later a lady comes out with half a dozen bags slung over her arms and starts delivering food to all the cars. I was not impressed by this kind of service. All of the cars that were next to me had been there longer than I had. Who knows how long they had been waiting for their orders, and who knows how long my food had been sitting on the counter waiting for someone to bring it out. I got my order and drove back home. My wife's sandwich and fries were cold and soggy from sitting in a styrofoam container for so long. My potato soup was lukewarm. My daughter's chicken tender's breading was soggy and the fries were cold. The drinks were watered down because much of the ice had melted. And last but not least, the Dr Pepper Cake (no ice cream or strawberries) was missing. This was a COMPLETE FAILURE and not worth the $34 I paid for it. read more

I saw a female server with tattoos all over her arms grabbing two loaves of bread with her hands to put them in to-go boxes. She wasn't wearing gloves. She also worked as a cashier, and she was constantly talking loudly and shouting while working. Where did the spit that came out of her mouth go? Congratulations Cotton Patch! Another well deserved 1 star. Greeter a bit bumpy, wanted to sit us at a boxed in table, but seated in booth at request. Server was imminent getting beverages + order. Then downhill ride. $13 salad was only a half filled bowl. Cornbread came cold. Then rest of both entrees. Asked server to have management stop by + no manager + server disappeared until she brought the check. No refills or offer to refill beverages. The worst for to go food. Over the years I've learned to look through my food because they always forget something, usually something big like your side item. My last visit was a few weeks ago and my Togo order was missing SIX things including 2 sides, kids drinks and cookies for both kids meals, gravy for chicken fried chicken, and all toppings for the loaded baked potato. The guy who I watched put my order together just stood there non-chalantly while the bartender was nice enough to get the things we were missing. I had "dinner" tonight at Cotton Patch-Watauga. I use the word dinner loosely as it was not edible. I ordered blackened tilapia, which, per the menu and server, is to come with rice. What I received was no rice and cold, raw fish that I had to wait almost an hour for even though they were not crowded. I asked 3 times. for my rice and at least 4 times for tartar sauce. never received either. the server was well aware of this, but no effort toward any apology or accommodation was made. Average. Basic. Ordered a cup of chicken and dumplings...cold until I got to the bottom, which leads me to believe it was either microwaved or sitting for a while. Ordered 2 chicken (country) fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. Usually it's great...never had it from this location, the meat was hot, the breading was so so, not that crispy. Gravy was luke warm and mashed potatoes were cold. Waitress wasn't awful, just not engaged or extra friendly like you'd expect from someone wanting tips, didn't even ask if we wanted refills. Normally, we enjoy eating at this restaurant. The food is consistent and the staff is usually helpful and friendly. Today was different. Our waitress was sweet and the food was good, but there were two girls hanging out at the registers gossiping about customers and laughing at them. It was disgusting behavior and it ruined our lunch. I wasn't the only customer who noticed, but even as the two girls were stared down, they didn't stop. They knew they were caught in the act, but it only made them mad and they kept whispering and looking over to glare. If it were my establishment, these two would be fired on the spot. People come in from all walks of life, but they are paying customers. They deserve respect, not to be singled out and laughed at. I am not sure I will visit this restaurant again. This incident turned my stomach, and I am not a happy customer. read more

Ate here Friday evening. This used to be a favorite but it isn't what it used to be. The steak was tasteless as was the chicken. First time eating at Cotton Patch... my husband and I had a great experience with our waiter Cameron. He was the perfect amount of attentive and assuring, thus his customer service was great. He gave us good conversation and seemed truthful bout his reviews of the food. We ordered the strawberry lemonade (seriously good! Enough sweetness and that didnt completely mask the sour) and the pucker frozen lemonade(if you like sour stuff this is your drink). We enjoyed the taste nd flavor of both. Oh and their complimentary rolls are amazing. For lunch i had the 3piece tender lunch basket for 6.99. The tenders were so juicy nd tender, the breading had. Nice and airy crunch! My husband had the chicken fried chicken w. Mac and cheese and fries for 10.99. It was a nice portion nd it got him full. He said everything tasted fantastic. We will be back!! read more

We went here for an early dinner and had a great experience! It was our first time and we cannot wait to go back. Amber was our waitress and she was one of the best waitress we have ever had, anywhere! She was fast, knowledgeable and super attentive. We both ordered the steak that has mushrooms on it with sides of veggies. The steak is actually hamburger meat in a steak shape but it is pretty tasty. This outing was a bit disappointing as the staff did not seem to want to be there and they did not have an issue with being visible about it. They were not rude but definitely were not pleasant. Right off the bat, we could not believe all orders were complete from the food down to the sauces, butter and plasticware! We also ordered from the $10 menu which was perfect for us.
