I love this place! My favorite "family dining" establishment in North Fort Worth. The menu is HUGE, and it's hard to decide what to order, since everything looks (and tastes) so good. The service is always outstanding. Everything is such a great value...prices are very reasonable. The meatloaf, burger and chicken fried chicken have all been delicious. Went in today Sunday 7/29. Wasn't terribly busy had to wait about ten minutes to be seated. Once we were seated we were there for another 15 minutes with no staff interaction no drink no nothing as every other table was checked on around, including two that were seated after us. Never had to leave a restaurant due to poor service but had to today unfortunately, was really looking forward to that chicken fried steak to. read more

This place is exactly what I dreamed of eating on our road trip through Texas. We had been traveling everyday for a week and my family just wanted something homemade. We stopped here because the locals referred us. We had the best server ever, and possibly one of the nicest ladies we have ever met...her name was Christine. We had fried green tomatoes, custom salads, pork chops, and the Texas cornbread. Our drinks were never half full before they were being filled again and anytime we even thought about needing something Christine was already two steps ahead. Great place! Used to be my favorite restaurant. Went in July 3 about 12:40 PM. No hostess at stand, 5 to 6 people sitting waiting on tables. Hostess finally shows up and I ask for a table for 2. She takes us past at least 5 empty tables to one in the back next to the bathroom. I remarked that I did not want to sit next to the bath room. Hostess said I will find you another table you don't have to be rude about it. I decided that I would not be rude and left the restaurant and went to another restaurant to eat. Won't be coming back. I tried to let Cotton Patch Main office know but all their contact us site does is say trying to contact customer service, I guess the home office does not care about customers either. read more

Waited 15-20 mins for a server. Food was good, but service left a lot to be desired. Couldn't find our server for 30 mi s after we were done eating. Had to walk to the front and speak to the manager. Sending a BIG Thank You to Kyle at Lake Worth. On Friday, April 7th I had to come up with a really quick replacement for 9 hungry people. It was my Mother's 91st birthday, she wanted chicken and dumplings from Cracker Barrel which I ordered on line from the Meacham Blvd location. After over an hour of trying to reach them by phone I gave up. Long story short, Cracker Barrel messed up big time and at 6:00 we had no food. I called Cotton Patch, I explained the situation to Kyle and he made a couple of suggestions. We ordered chicken and dumplings, 2 sides for each person and Dr. Pepper chocolate cake for all. It was ready in 18 minutes. They were sacking it up when I arrived. Cotton Patch saved the day. Food was fresh, hot and sooo goo!! And my Mom loved it!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! read more

SO DISAPPOINTED! Came here on 10-12-18 to have a nice dinner with my husband. Got there just after 4pm the restaurant was about 1/3 full with customers. We ordered our meal and about an hour later the meal came to our table. The country fried steaks were over cooked, side dishes were ok. When our meals came to the table we ordered a meal to go for our son, that took another hour, by the second hour my husband and I had lots our patients. I am a full time student and was not planning on wasting so much of my time just waiting! My husband and I left the table after being there 2 hours, went to the front counter and the waitress finally brought our son's to go order.. the lobby was full of customers waiting to be seated..but the restaurant was not even half full. I thought because the two hour inconvenience that the waitress would offer us a discount but we still paid full price! FULL PRICE FOR OVERCOOKED FOOD AND VERY BAD SERVICE! I ate at Cotton Patch for the first time last week and I will not be back. My boyfriend and I ordered the chips and salsa and found a hair in our chips. Then, when my dinner arrived I found a metal shaving in my chicken and dumplings which were so bad I couldn't eat. I also ordered the mac and cheese but I was given the broccoli and rice instead. My waiter was pleasant and brought me the mac and cheese. Thankfully we ordered an appetizer because my dinner was ruined. I do not recommend this location. read more

Rather disappointing! We stopped in for lunch while visiting from out of town. Almost all of our party ordered chicken fried steak. It wasn't what I remember chicken fried steak to be. Worst attention to detail EVER for to go orders! I make a to go order for FULL order of fried green tomatoes, and double the dipping sauce...that is all. I receive my food, get home and only find half an order. I promptly return, place the food on the counter and ask for them to look at it and tell me what's wrong with it. The person that prepared the food totally misses it again. I then informed her it was only half an order when I paid for the full one. She then calls the manager over to ask HIM how many pieces are on a full order.. the manager informs her correctly. Why is the to go person asking what is on a full order? Great place for southern cooked comfort food. Chicken fried steak is the best and so are the garlic mashed potatoes. Fried green tomatoes are just right with not too much breading. Trailblazer was ok, the grilled chop steak was a little too thin for my liking, however, it had great flavor. Service is great with a never ending tea glass. Great place for lunch. read more

Something has changed here. The past couple of times I've been, it's seemed a bit "off". Last time I ordered my usual veggie platter, and get lukewarm veggies and broccoli that was turning grey. Yes, grey. Unedible. French fries had the consistency of sitting under a heat lamp all day. Soup was only lukewarm. Wait staff was not friendly and offered no refills. The bacon pieces in the black eyed pies were pink and undercooked. Everything was just so unappetizing, which was not normal for this location. I can't put my finger on it, but the past several times I've been here the food has not been the same as it used to be. One day, a couple sitting next to my table even made the comment that their "usual" platters were not of the same quality as in the past, and seemed as disappointed as we were. I'm not sure what's going on, and it's sad because this used to be my ol' standby. Now, I just really have no desire to eat here. read more

Their food is great and the servers are very nice and pleasant to deal with. However, I suggest a different location. Their air-conditioning system has been an issue for months now and the comfort of their customers do not seem to be a priority. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area where you can set and eat without sweating on your food. Today it was 78 degrees outside but 85 inside. Was in at lunch on 3/209/17. Asked for a gluten free menu, they couldn't find it. Guess they only have one. Waitress was very nice about it, but manager needed education on gluten free foods. If the brown gravy was made gluten free, more items could be on the list and I would be more willing to return more often. And so would others. Only a couple of items as meals is not enough for me to return. I'm not a yegetarian, so would like more meat options . read more
