I started googling and connected with Maria at Pressed. My savior!! She sent a driver to my house Sunday to pick up my items (jacket, blazer, sweater dress, jump suit, and three dresses). Maria was extremely communicative even asking if I wanted business cards back in my blazer, removed pilling on the jacket, and repairing a small hole on the sweater dress. When the clothes came back to me exactly 24 hours later as promised, I was pleasantly surprised and one happy customer. Prices were comparable to my neighborhood shop if not a few dollars cheaper. I chose BC Cleaners on Western because I wanted to support a local business in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, my experience with a man who identified himself as the owner was a nightmare. I brought several items in for cleaning and tailoring, expecting professional work. Instead, I received some of the worst tailoring I have ever seen.The wrong color thread was used, including blue thread on a beige item. The stitching was loose, the hems were crooked, and one hole was sewn in a way that left the repair visible on the outside of the shirt. There were even additional holes along seams that were supposed to be closed. When I calmly brought these issues to his attention and requested a refund, he insisted, "I fixed it," while dismissing my concerns. He then smiled and said, "If you could do it yourself, why didn't you?" I told him I paid a professional good money to do it for me. That is literally why customers hire professionals.I never raised my voice, used profanity, or acted unprofessionally. I simply explained that the work was unacceptable and requested my money back. He refused. Then the situation became genuinely disturbing. When I told him I would have to leave a customer review, he came around the counter, stood over me, and said, "People like you are shit." When I asked him to repeat himself, he said it again. He continued verbally berating me while I was trying to leave. I lost my shoe in the vestibule, and he was standing so close to me that I felt intimidated and unsafe. He continued yelling obscenities as I walked toward my car. So I filed a police report regarding the incident. After this experience, I looked at the business's reviews and noticed several other customers describing negative experiences. I particularly wish I had seen the reviews from women who reported experiencing sexist or racist behavior before bringing my clothes here.

When I went in with 2 dresses to get buttons replaced for both of them, the girl at the front who is very young, acted sort of clueless, and said she would have to wait till the manager gets back to see if the buttons were available. Keep in mind it's freezing cold out to commute, so I was leaving my dresses there, not sure if they'd even be able to be taken care of. She said that they would text me if they did not have the buttons. I dropped those dresses off on a Wednesday, the pick up day was assigned to be Saturday. I get a text on Saturday saying that they don't have the buttons. Waiting 3 days to notify me that they did not have the buttons, not professional or considerate to the customer's time at all. It's one thing to not have the buttons in stock and not be able to check for them / see what can be done when the customer comes in, but to make them wait until the pick up day, and only text them on the official pick up day that you do not have the buttons is actually ridiculous and unprofessional. You should at least message or call the customer to make them aware soon after they came in, a day or two after is acceptable. Don't make the customer wait until the actual pick up day, as I thought I would be getting the dresses fixed. Had I known this is going to be this unprofessional, I would've dropped my dresses off elsewhere so they would've been ready for me in time. The other employees are mostly polite enough, but I don't know the name of the very young girl who works there, she was very quiet, and not knowing how to do her job. I won't be coming back here as a result of this.

I come here so frequently that my dog actually knows the place and stops when we walk by so she can say hi and get a dog treat :) I'm really picky about my clothes so I'm always hesitant when trying a new cleaners. In fact there's several others nearby I went to first that for various reasons led me to keep looking around until I found this one! For dry cleaning I've brought in my fair share of stains on silk and other difficult fabrics and am always pleased with the end result. Also for tailoring I've had a ton of designer skirts and dresses altered from silk to wool. Just today I picked up a Canada Goose jacket that was hemmed and it turned out wonderfully!
