Upon arrival with our puppy and two kiddos, we were told right away that because we had children with us he could not play in a room with other dogs for liability reasons. This makes sense but we were not aware of this rule and honestly it defeats the purpose for us. We want him to have interaction with other dogs, but also to be able to be available to play and protect him. In fact, they recommend that children do not come at all. If you do venture here, I suggest bringing your own toys and possibly a bowl or some kind of way to give your pup a drink. They provide bags for picking up poop. There were a couple of balls in the room, but they were wet and disgusting. The staff we met were very kind, and I hate to leave a review like this, but we will not be back. They do offer babysitting and grooming and have self grooming stations. Tucked right off of O street near the Asian Community Center. You also must provide vaccination records before playing. They always comment on my dogs. My last visit, I added a shampoo and brush out. They added an extra 5 dollar charge on my Aussi-corgi (Auggie). The groomer said she was heavily matted! I did bit know my dog was matted, because she looked fine! She explained that double coated dogs coats can "lay down" on the skin and create a layer of fur. This dog has had heat stroke issues for a few years now. After this grooming, and the removal of all the undercoat, she is cooling off properly! The groomer knows her stuff! Thank you! The boarding rates are the best in town. But with all the add one such as day play and walks, they are the same rates as everyone. Fair enough! My dogs love this place, and so do I.

I was told it wasn't in the system but might be in the appointment book in a different building. Then i was told appointment was for the following week on Oct 7th. Had to reschedule and called to cancel - then got some "service" that wasn't even on site of the facilities. They didn't even see any appointment? Then I get a call back asking if I still wanted to cancel the appointment? I was told there must have been a "miscommunication" - like I was the one to blame for their ridiculous booking appointment so-called "service" Already have appointment with a different grooming provider. The motel was given an hour heads-up upon my parents returning to pick up the dogs, to find their legs covered in door feces and soaked in urine. You couldn't even bother to help clean them up even once while they were there??? Their legs were matted with feces!! My parents gave contact information should there be any problems during the dog's stay, but they were never contacted. Upon pickup, the staff said they did great while there. My parents were in shock and rushed the dogs home to bathe immediately and feed as they hardly ate during their stay. My parents had to take the 15 year old, otherwise generally healthy, shitzu to the vet asap the next day as he was very lethargic and almost did not recover from the week's stay at Trude's. Maybe if your dog is large and spends a fair amount of time outdoors normally might you have a decent experience. You would think with a veterinarian on site that they would take more pride in their services. BE WARNED! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM!!! If I could give negative stars, I would.

I called Parkview animal hospital because they had a walk-in clinic and the reviews were high. My labradoodle klondike had an ear infection, it was really bothering him and I really needed to get vet care for my fur baby, but no income to lean on. I spoke to Sarah at the front desk, and she gave me a whole list of places that would have ability to help people that need financial assistance for their pets. I had limited time because of my situation and having to wait for my support group to be able to take me to and from the veterinarian. I called back to Parkview animal hospital and Sarah said to come in and get an estimation of how much it' was going to cost and then can you fill out an application so they could hook me up with Sadie's fund who helps with cases like mine, people that need financial help with fur baby needs. Klondike, my labradoodle is my baby, he's my emotional support animal and I would do anything for him He helps me through so much on a daily basis. I wanted to make him feel better and I finally had hope. My peer support person and myself went to Parkview and Sarah was there, she remembered me, she was super nice and welcoming. The hospital is really clean and big and has lots of toys and food and a TV for nature programs. It is a really friendly and comfy environment. Even though it's a big vet hospital, it feels like a small clinic. Ava gave us an estimate and then submitted my application to Sadie's dog fund, and I was approved later that day. The next day we went back to Parkview, and they did everything that was needed, including giving me meds and drops for his ears, they cleaned his ears and did a cytology. Dr Amy was incredible, super sweet, super nice and informative She was even with my stubborn labradoodle klondike, she confirmed the estimate and made sure I knew how much I would owe once the fund was applied. Klondike wanted to hide under the chair behind my peer support person's legs and Dr Amy and Kennedy gave him some Cheerios and he was good to go. I can't tell you how happy I am and how happy he is now and how much they made a difference on our lives. I was treated with respect, care and understanding, Parkview really cares about your furry family, They are communicative, I had gotten a text before the visit that I was approved for Sadie's dog fund and then also received an email with all the vets instructions for Klondike's care, and our receipt from the visit. I appreciate that I'm left notes on each day the sitter visits, with details on Mango's behavior, the state of my apartment, and any concerns they might have that I can follow up on upon my return. From what I read, Mango loves the sitter! It's impressive to me because Mango is a very shy cat and very hesitant to go near strangers, especially anyone who is loud. My sitter, Lisa, must be sweet and soft-spoken for Mango to love her. I feel guilty about leaving Mango when I'm gone, but I'm put at ease by using a sitter. I don't have much experience with hiring pet sitters, but I don't think I could ask for a better one right now. She even sent me a handwritten thank you note for the tip I left her. The boarders name was Lori and she was wonderful, and the dogs did fine at her house. I do not like boarding house dogs where they are kept in rows of kennels, so this was a great option. The reason I only gave this 3 stars is the price. They charge $36 a day PER DOG!! The last kennel we used gave a discount for a 2nd dog in the same family and I wish they would consider something like that. We dropped them off on a Thursday morning, had our daughter pick them up on Sunday at noon because they charge by the hour, and our bill was $259. I also tipped Lori $40 since she only gets a portion of what the company collects. Darn near cost as much as our hotel stay in Chicago for 3 nights! Janis
