The sweet potato fries and tots were so fresh. It tasted as if they picked the sweet potatoes from the garden that day lol. The other side was a tad overcooked but edible. The undercooked part cannot be cut even with a steak knife. The beans and the sweet potato mash was cooked well. Otherwise. It was good. They took it off our overall bill though. That was really nice of them. We then ordered desserts. I got a berry tiramisu, and hubby got the chocolate cherry manhattan. My tiramisu was good. Could be a little less sweet- as mentioned earlier i like tart-ish stuff. But it was still light and fluffy. Hubby's chocolate cherry manhattan was a little strong. But could be improved with a better balanced taste profile. We had a wonderful experience despite the slightly undercooked duck. Appreciate our young server very much. She was an absolute delight. The theatre was earlier housed in a barn (!) and is currently celebrating it's 40th year! He turned 10 and wanted to hold the bush baby Benji, it was truly the best day ever for him. He has the encounter with a great staff member, Gina, and also the otter LuLu. Over all the encounters were fantastic, but it is a little slow. It's a sprawling sanctuary for animals. There are dozens of different animals to pet, and look at. Not every cage was open anymore compared to previous visits, so that was sad. It's a hodge podge of sheds, trailers and kennels/fencing for the variety. Again it's not really for me, but I can see the appeal for little kids and the animal lovers.
