Family owned and run which adds to the charm, though the location can be easy to miss since it's located in a strip mall with lots of other businesses. They have some specialities like octopus and tongue which can be difficult to find sometimes. All around excellent experience, will definitely be back! read more

Home made tortilla tacos on the weekend are some of the best tacos I've ever had anywhere. The pollo asado is also one of the best tasting meats at any taqueria I've been to, crispy outside, tender and juicy inside, great flavor. Family owned and operated, good service, very nice people. I think the food was very, very good. I had a combination plate - a fresh chicken tamale with the tomatillo sauce (also known as chili verde sauce) and a chicken enchilada with a red sauce, and I think the food was flavored well. My boyfriend had the al pastor tamale with the red sauce, and a chicken enchilada with green sauce. He was happy with the al pastor tamale. I think I found another "go to" Mexican restaurant. We were the only customers in the restaurant so the food server was very, very attentive, the food was served in a timely manner and the food was delicious! I hope they will stay open because the competition is tough - Marvins, a local favorite, China Chef, another local favorite and SuperBurger, which moved from Penngrove, is in the plaza. read more

Came in to eat on a weekday and was very surprised to see only one customer. I should have taken the hint. My friend and I decided to try it out anyways. The server came out with menus that had so many items crossed out it was hard to understand and unappealing. We ordered and then began to dig in to our chips and salsa. The salsa was so bland and watered down that I can honestly say I would have rather been consuming Taco Bell sauce packets. Our food was submerged in this horrendous sauce as well. The food itself was also bland and left us completely unsatisfied. The customer service could have been a lot better as well as we didn't get checked on and were in need of refills on our drinks. Came here for lunch with a friend on Taco Tuesday. You can't beat street tacos for $1.95. I had 2 tacos(shrimp and adobada) both very flavorful and tasty. You can tell that the tortillas are freshly house made.My friend had the cheese enchiladas and chicken tamale.Except they had to be reminded of the tamale and guacamole and brought him a beef tamale instead of the chicken that he ordered. I would not order a tamale again; there was too much masa and not enough filling. Overall a really dry tamale. Everything else tasty and you can't beat the prices there. I stumbled upon this establishment while doin laundry one rainy afternoon. I went in and ordered 2 tacos, rice and frijoles to go. The girl working the counter asked if wanted salsa and onions on the side or normal. Even though I am a Latina I can't hang with spicy food, or green salsa. Well the tacos come pur and have green salsa. SINCE THAT DAY, I have changed me. I actually love their salsa. They food is delicious. My boyfriend and I gave this place a try on a Friday night. He ordered a carne asada super burrito and a fish taco and I went with a carnitas super burrito based on the hostess' recommendation. Chips and salsa were nothing special. Fish taco came ahead of the rest, wasn't great, tasted like they used frozen breaded fish. His burrito came next, an awkward 5 minutes before mine, which showed up with a side of guacamole because, as the waitress explained, the cook, "forgot to put it in." My boyfriend's burrito also lacked the guacamole that should have been on it, but he noted that it did have plenty of sour cream and the carne asada was quite tasty. My carnitas tasted, well, very porky. I didn't hate it, but if I ever go back to give this place another chance, I'll be ordering something different. read more

My wife said the reviews were good, let's try them. Some Mexican food is too 'hot' or spicy. Our food was presented with all the fixing in little containers so one could add more or less. Im having some car problems. Had to leave my car at the gas station across the street while i wait for a tow. Got hungry walked across the street into this plaza and seen the restaraunt and it caught my attention. Walked got seated by a really nice waitress, very social and attentive not only to us but the other customers in the restaraunts. We ordered steak nacjos and they were delicous! The steak tastes great perfectly cooked and seasoned. But what i liked the most is that they really enjoy socializing with the customers. Turns out we're both from the same state in Mexico, so they have recipes i am familiar with. They even let me get a sample of their "caldo de camaron" which was delicous. Very good restaraunt. The restaurant was a mess. I walked in seeing it looked dead only to get some food since I was doing laundry next door and was hungry. I ordered food to go and once I received my food I headed back to the laundromat to eat. The laundromat bathroom which I needed was out of order so I proceeded to head back to the restaurant next door which I ordered food from and explained the bathrooms next door was out of order and I could use theirs ... Not to mention I am in my late terms of pregnancy and they had denied me saying I needed to be a customer which I was. I proceed to showed them the receipt from my order and they still refused me.
